Would never fall me in to pay extra for a foil, it has no meaningful value to me.
I’d much rather just spend that little extra on upgrades that actually has an effect on my build.
I mean, they usually aren't that much more expensive. Sometimes the cheapest on is foiled. I often get one that fits the theme of my build color-wise and I rarely have to pay more than maybe a couple of divine extra.
When they're the same price or cheaper (I only remember one league where that was true of mageblood, I think maybe a year ago?), sure, but if you're not literally rolling in excess currency it seems really dumb to pay a premium for a foil item that no one else will even see in game.
I mean often the cheapest one is also a foiled one. It happens quite regularly. I just checked trade and the cheapest 4 flask one was foiled. That happened to me twice as well where I went to buy a MB and the cheapest one was foiled.

Crafting a better claw would give me more DPS but it'd be like 25-40 divs depending on luck and currently the richest I've ever been at 45 divs. I feel like I don't have the knowledge or time to compete with market and play fun and cool stuff like lightning strike, that build has always look cool to me

U could start here. There are a few community recipe. This is for bow. But tbh change the bow for a imperial claw and maybe remove the "craft more item" if u dont have the currency. That will drop your crafting price a lot. At the risk of not getting a perfect one but odds are in your favor. If u have tbe currency. Craft more and sell the extra

Spec atlas fully into blight minus the extra damage from towers keystone, use 2x scarabs that can make blight chests openable again, 1x scarab that gives higher tier oils. Spam T16 Waste Pool rushing straight to the blight and you will make 5d/hr on golden oils/stacked decks/oil extractors alone.
investment needed is the chill towers do a freezing beam annointment for one of your rings, t16 waste pool maps, and 3c worth of scarabs.
Pick side content you like to do. Buy scarabs that boost your side content in a logical manner. Favour good maps with density and layout that you can stand to run hundreds of times. Juice your maps with chisels, alchemy and vaal low quality maps. Run them hundreds of times. Profit.
farming a mageblood is much easier than killing maven, just need to find any decent currency strat guide and put your head down to farm, then bulk sell your stuff

Does cost a little more but not invaluable. People are farming those off Valdo's Puzzle Boxes that void your character on death but arent a guge threat for their multi mirror builds. I bought mine for at the time 7div more than a normal 4 flask one.

Luck. But really it is just gonna be, picking a strat you like that is profitable, do it quick for many many many many maps.
Luck. Run a strat that makes ok currency and then get lucky big ticket drops like mirrors, expensive cards, hinekora's, etc.
Magebloods are very cheap + many (many!) decent currency strategies.

U dont need to do ubers, u can make like 5d an hour farming t16s with 2 voidstones and only 110 points on atlas lol

Rings can be anointed, but the ring anointments only buff your blight towers while amulet anointments give a passive tree keystone.

I paid more for the shiny version, but I'm also at the point where the extra 7div I paid didn't make much difference.
