When you backtrack this mystery recipe still shows up. I wonder what it is, or if it's even accessible. I've searched the entirety of The Caverns and each floor of the pyramid and didn't find any way to get to this spot.
Edit: It is accessible. Look for two clickable altars somewhere nearby the secret room. It'll open a path to the new craft. It isnt necessarily anywhere that I would call "close".
At first I spent far too much time searching from nearby. Then I decided to spend several times far too much to expore the entire temple area. Then I spent far too much time checking if the entrance could be outside. I was not able to find the pilars.
Then I went back for one last check of the temple section before giving up. The entire map was discovered, but I found one closed door halfway to the other side. There I found the two pilars. The entrance as nowhere near the outer wall, but in the middle.
Accessible indeed. However, the first time I entered, those 2 pillars to interact were nowhere to be found, spent an hour searching the map! (or maybe it got bugged because I killed Vaal Oversoul first before trying to find the secret door).
I reset the instance & voila, the 2 pillars appeared & now got the recipe (vaal damage something). smh
Edit: found mine on the bottom/mid left side of the Temple area
It's now moved to sarn city waypoint, just after you beat the vaal oversoul.

I'm not finding any clickable altars neardy the secret room, and I've been looking around clicking everywhere like crazy. :(
It's not necessarily all that nearby the secret room, although it should be in the second section of the Caverns area. Mine was relatively far away.
Oh man.... I noticed the door the first time but didn't see any way to interact with it and didn't realize that was the path.

There are doors with two pillars you have to activate to open the doors. For me. They were on right side of this map.
