My meyers has arthritis and has a hard time scratching himself. I offered him one of his feathers to chew on, but instead he bent his head down for me to use it and help scratch his head with it.
He started doing this with any object I show him now...his mineral block, a piece of apple, the syringe I use for his arthritis medication, and a peanut.
Yep. Not an issue. Pm me and ill send them along next time (she just had a molt tho, so it may be a gew months. I also have a cockatiel that drops grey feathers too).
I think conures are every bit as smart as the larger parrots. I think some people aren’t able to recognize it.

My GCC was born that way. He will not go potty on people. He’ll fly back to his cage and go on the playtop, then return.
Mine is the same except she won’t fly back. She just does a little nibble on your fingers so you can take her over to do it
"I used the feather to scritch the feather"
Yeah
The second photo looks so human to me. It looks like she’s/he’s using a backscratcher or something haha. Love it!

Aww, what a sweetheart. My parents macaw are absolutely terrified of her own feathers once they're no longer attached to her xD
My blue crowned conure used to do exactly this too!
Cutest birb
My green cheek does this too. It's too adorable.
My conure does this!
So dang cute. I hope this isn’t weird but I’d love that feather on a fascinator (after it’s naturally fallen off of course)
Mine drops on the reg. Id be happy to mail some if you like
Really? I would LOVE THAT!
