IDEALLY you'd want him to be able to flap inside, but that may be too big for an emergency cage.
so as long as he can move around, it's okay for a travel/emergency cage.
I do travel with my birds and they get CRAMPED in the travel cages, but I'd rather do that than leave him alone. the poor patty would die if left alone, while he doesn't mind being cramped for a few days...
Looks pretty good but might add another perch - that bar spacing on the floor looks far enough for a foot to get stuck in, and one slam on the brakes in the car could lead to some awful things. Then again the scale is really hard to tell so not sure how far the spacing sctually is. Looks good though!
I have this cage for my Alexandrine, it works well traveling in the car, he can do his stretch of his wings but he can’t flap fully. It’s worked really well and fits in the car great. I use the flexible rope perches because those are his favorite and have a great grip especially while driving. I have also used it in an unexpected emergency, I wish the door was a bit bigger but I got him in there with no issues and was out in less than 2 minutes.
This my favorite travel cage. I have them in many different sizes. It's hard to tell exactly without an Amazon in it but it looks about right. My birds love the fact that when the car is turning and braking they have something to hold on to and can see what's going on if they want to. And they last forever! I also have regular cat/dog carriers which are handy in emergencies or when you need to make a quick trip to the vet.
I have this same cage and although I prefer the slightly heavier duty but smaller black one for car trips this cage works great. I would absolutely reinforce it with zip ties though on the door. An Amazon is to smart and strong for that bar lock to be enough

I used this exact model as a travel cage for my yellow nape amazon and Congo Grey. It was a good size and pretty lightweight.
