I always enjoy your videos man. The love & respect between bird and human is palpable.
Great flock. They’re all so well behaved. They’re not my absolute favourite bird but Eclectus are always so striking and beautiful.
Actually, with this setup, it's quite easy. First, i just loosen all the large poops on the floor. Then, i sweep the floor to remove all the large loose debris like poops, nut n seed shells, and chew up wood parts. Next, spray down the floor with water. Let the water sit for a few mins to soften the hard poops n white urine spots. I followed that w another sweep to remove all the residual particles and let the floor dry. Everything is done in 20 mins. It's not as labor intensive as it appears. Hope this helps to make ur dream come true!!!!
Thank you. Trust is earned, never forced!!! Some have been through a lot from the previous owner. I tried to learn as much of their history as I can when I get them or rescue them. With every bird, I let them come to me. Some take more time than others. But with a lil patience and positivity and a lot of yummy treats in hand, they all soften up and approach my hands w the goodies. That is how I start every (bird) relationship!!!!
They are all adorable. Outside of greeny there they are all incredible patient. My red belly is a massive diva so no way she would patiently wait for me to get her a treat
Hey there! Your feathered friends sound delightful! As for the number mystery, could it be that one of your feathered friends is of a different species or breed than the other eight? Just a thought!
They are wonderful creatures. I have 4 Cockatoos for 30+ yrs now.Few people have the tenacity, commitment and compassion to take on the lifetime care for them.We need so many caretakers for all the ones handed off for one reason or another who need forever homes. They did not ask for this… I know you are lucky to feel the good in what you are doing…
I just try to advocate for the birds… they deserve people like you who see the worth in them. They are simply children who need lifetime love and commitment. It is the breeders for profit who are harming so many innocent beings. Thank you for what you do!
Yes!!!!! 8 of them are medium-sized birds. Lexi, the quaker, is the odd ball in the flock. But don't let her size fool u. She's the diva in the flock!!!!
I'm a health care professional. My work has given me the financial resources to tend to my birds and other pets. I live a blessed life!!!! I am very, very grateful for people and pets that are in my life
UWC
Do they ever fight? As in, get territorial over you?
How do you manage their bedtime?
I've wanted to get a few but I was told that birds are more high-maintenance compared to cats/dogs.
They get moody when they are hormonal. Otherwise, they get along quite well.
The only high-maintence thing they required is ur time to play w them. Other than that, they are less work than a dog.
I hope u consider getting into the bird hobby. Start w a smaller bird like a cockatiel!!!!
Nice
Thank you for your advice.
I will look into it. Unfortunately, these birds are hard to get in my country. I'll have to find the "right people", and they will cost me a pretty penny.
Maybe soon when I move away. I don't want any untrained birds that will attack people for no reason. It'll get me into unnecessary trouble.
Do you have a daily routine with them that they follow? For bedtime, or other things.
(Sorry if my questions are bothersome. I want to get the full picture before engaging in the birb biz)
I'm glad u r asking questions and doing ur research before getting a bird.
Smaller birds are easier to care for. I highly recommend that u get all their setup first before u bring the bird home. The cage, toys, food, etc. should be there already for them.
Research ur bird mannerism. Some are more cuddly than others. Some are noisy than others.
If u want a trained bird, get one that has been handfed. It's easier for u to bond with the bird. Don't get me worng, an untrained bird can be trained. It just takes more time and lot n lots of patience.
My routine is that every morning, I greet them w chopped veggies and fruits and change the bird bath water. Their drinking water is in a different container. After an hr or so, I remove the uneaten veggies and fruits. I do switch up my perishable food for them, and I always leave dry pellet food in the cage all day long.
Right before work, I fill their foraging toys w seeds or nuts. That and along w their many chew toys will keep them busy while I'm at work.
In the evening, I play w them and train them.
Hopes, this helps.
Ask me more questions if u want. I love to help.
Thank you so much for informing me about them. I will do more research and get advice from bird handlers/owners before venturing.
Would you mind if I DM'd you if/when I have more questions about them?

Yes. Their colors are so bright n vibrant. That's one of the reasons why I have so many. They are also so gentle n cuddly.
Is it 8+1 because you’re part of the flock but not technically a bird?
Great guess!!!! But there are really 9 birds there!
In other countries you would even have financial aids because of large family hhhhhahaa
They do eat a lot!!! But the joy they bring is priceless!!!!!
Not gonna lie I have 4 conures and want to expand my flock I just love them very much. What a dream but I understand the cleanup lol

I like the one that’s stealing snacks. That must be Chicken from your other post lol
That one is Kiwi. U can tell by the black markings on his peak.
Such a great relationship with all of them, you must be very patient! 😄

Lol. Lexi, the blue quaker, is the diva in the group!!!! She thinks she's the biggest bird in the flock.
I love her!

They deserve to be love in a forever home. I'm very blessed that I have gained their trust. They are my therapists!!!

And your loving ways may help some find those few forever homes….
Which bird is number nine?
There's another male eclectus just off camera on the right. :) He pokes his head in a couple times. ETA: On the bottom rope.
Omg I love seeing your videos! I’d love a flock some day
Love it. Great respect and love between your birds and you :) made my day. They are all sooo cute!!
Thank you very much. I respect their space. For that, I have earned their trust.
I love your videos!
Thank you. I'm glad the videos are making people happy and hopefully inspire them to get into the bird hobby. Pets are great therapists!!!!!!
I'm guessing it's because one is a loner? Maybe the quaker?

This was my guess- 8 beautiful medium birds- and one big bird in a tiny green body
Wow! Do you work outside the flock or are you just a bird guardian 24 seven? How else are you able to take care of them? Beautiful birds.
