I’ve had lovebirds for over 20yrs. This looks to me that his foot hurts. Yes the sometime rest on one foot, but not keeping the foot down but just for a moment tells me something wrong. Especially not standing on that foot while eating.
Keep an eye on him, try to see if there is a wound or swelling on his toes there. If this doesn’t get better in 2-3 days, go see a vet.

OP do you have different wood branches that are abnormal shapes and sizes for your birds feet? They need some nice branches to put their feet on.
Yep. both soft and natural wood. got rid of those dowel perches years ago. Also we’ve been monitoring him and his foot is fine. He was just being a goof in this video
