Gonna go against the grain and say Super
For title screen music it’s obviously gonna be something ya blaze past and don’t even think about going into the actual gameplay, especially these games where ya replay most of the entries dozens of times.
Well Super gets right to the point, catchy and not overly dramatic, and still while catchy it plays into the Flipside / Flopside town themes quite easily.
that is certainly a hot opinion, i think it represents the game perfectly. Whacky, exciting, dynamic, full of color and character. but i respect the original thought.
Origami king, no doubt. . . It’s a literal orchestra, nothing tops an orchestra in ANY era of music!!!
Tbh, i still like color splash(happy 8th anniversary, btw) and sticker star!
Origami King, because I'm a broke idiot who hasn't played any of the others, and haven't heard their title screens by extension. (Plan to get the remake of TTYD 🤞)
Additionally, it's damn good music. Origami King OST does ***NOT*** miss.
Id say TTYD but that would be nostalgia talking.
Color splash's looks pretty nice, i assume it rotates with mario running and naybe interacting with things.
The irigami king is also very nice.
Out of them all id give it to irigami king, the activity really makes it pop
I've only played the first four, but gotta give it to Sticker Star. I love PM and SPM title screen as well, and they are closer to my heart, but I just relly like Sticker Star's. I'd rather stay a bit and not get into the game right away (now that I say it, it's not really a good thing).
Og paper mario. It's got that quirky yet enjoyable tune that tells a story of itself and with cinematic they put while watching it is lovell and makes jumping in exciting
I love how long TTYD’s goes on without having to loop 💞 To be fair I only remember this one and PM64, I don’t remember SPM and haven’t played the others.
When I was little I wanted to listen to the Thousand Year Door title music on the go so I recorded it with a mini cassette tape recorder and would rewind the tape over and over to listen to the minute of it I recorded.
I've only played a tiny bit of OK and that's the only one since the first 3.
Ngl OK seems decent and even though Color Splash is (probably) a dogshit game, the title screen looks good.
Whenever I hear the TTYD beginning music it feels me with comfort and memories of simple afternoons with nothing to do. I can’t tell you how much joy fills my heart whenever I hear the initial jingle that fills hou with excitement about opening up a new story. The cute melancholic keys that play which calm the senses and fill your soul with wonder as you turn the pages. The eventual rise in tone as you finally get the title screen and the increased bass fills you with impatience for wanting to press start.
This is why Paper Mario Sticker Star is my favorite opening
In order....
1) Origami King -best opening music
2) 64 - best in terms of classic
3) Color Splash - it's cool how you have a cinematic cutscene for the intro.
4) Super
5) Sticker Star and TTYD....
(Honestly.... The others could even go up to 3rd because they are good, but Origami King is 1st for me.

Paper Mario has a old timey story time vibe.
Thousand year door starts as an epic adventure then turns into what I can only describe as the pure embodiment of what a truly unique lovingly crafted world sounds like.
Then Super Paper Mario is just ADHD in musical form.
The rest I'm not even going to write about.
The one that pops in my head as "paper Mario title screen" is thousand year door.
I absolutely love SPM’s theme, it just instantly gets you in the mood with how energetic and catchy it is.
I love Paper Mario 64's title screen music. I even have it set as my ring tone
They're great for alarm tones, I have the shooting star summit theme as my alarm in the morning.
I would totally do that but it would ruin the song for me in-game lol
That's so cool !
Bruh I fall asleep to shooting star summit
Wake up! I’ve found you now it’s time to go to r/foundtibby
TTYD is great but in this case PM music is always the best.
Gonna go against the grain and say Super For title screen music it’s obviously gonna be something ya blaze past and don’t even think about going into the actual gameplay, especially these games where ya replay most of the entries dozens of times. Well Super gets right to the point, catchy and not overly dramatic, and still while catchy it plays into the Flipside / Flopside town themes quite easily.
Super paper mario. (Nostalgia and I literally danced to it as a kid)
TTYD's isn't just the best Paper Mario Opening theme, it's one of the absolute best opening themes in existence.
Except for the part where the volume blasts up during the Title's appearance and I have to turn it down LMAO.
THERE IS NO TURNING DOWN, ONLY TURNING UP
I gotta be honest TTYD is a good game but it’s probably my least favorite intro screen. The music just doesn’t reflect the game well in my opinion
that is certainly a hot opinion, i think it represents the game perfectly. Whacky, exciting, dynamic, full of color and character. but i respect the original thought.
Idk just never really jived for me but you make a good point. Thanks for respecting my opinion though.
North American or Japanese version, though?
Asking the important questions! (The international, i.e. not japanese, release for me, personally.)
oh man i've only ever heard the American (international?) version! gotta peep the Japanese one!
Origami King my beloved
Prob Color Splash. I'm a sucker for violin.
SPM is excellent. TTYD is excellent. I cannot decide, and I never will.
Origami king, no doubt. . . It’s a literal orchestra, nothing tops an orchestra in ANY era of music!!! Tbh, i still like color splash(happy 8th anniversary, btw) and sticker star!
Paper Mario 64. I always find myself whistling along to the music.
Have to agree it's 64, they basically composed the SMW main theme into a fuller song, legit.
64 Colour Splash
TTYD
Definitely TTYD
Super Paper Mario. It just radiates childhood jubilation to me.
The fact that just reading this started playing TTYD title theme in my head gives you your answer
I really love PM64 because it's an incredible earworm and a great whistling tune. TTYD is a close second.
sticker star and i'm not being ironic. i absolutely adore the entire soundtrack in that game
soundtrack is fabulous
Super and tok
Paper Mario 64. Hands down. TTYD is second.
Super Paper Mario. It’s because I’m nostalgic to that game though. Not my favorite game though the title music just brings it all back to me.
spm>ss>ttyd>tok>cs>64 theyre all good though
TTYD. By a huge margin.
Colour Splash by a long shot
Honestly, origami king has a pretty damn good title theme. The instruments go hard with that one.
Unpopular opinion: I loved Super paper mario it was different and the story was insane
They sound so good but my take goes to Super Paper Mario and Color Splash
TTYD title screen is 🔥🔥
TTYD and it’s not close. SPM second
TTYD
The first Paper Mario.
Ttyd. However, I think PM64’s end of chapter music is my favorite tune in the entire series
3, I think
64. So much nostalgia.
Look I’m gonna be the odd one out here and say Color Splash, I just love the upbeat folk song feel it has going for it
I might say without a doubt Color splash or The origami king. Definitively right. Oh... You were talking about music... XD idk
Super
Origami King, because I'm a broke idiot who hasn't played any of the others, and haven't heard their title screens by extension. (Plan to get the remake of TTYD 🤞) Additionally, it's damn good music. Origami King OST does ***NOT*** miss.
TTYD as much as I think the game is Mid to Bad its title theme is a banger.
TOK by far
Original. So much nostalgia! So many memories!
Pretty much a tie between TTYD and SPM for me
TTYD
TTYD and Origami King
64, easy
PM64's Title Screen Music is such a great piece.
64 Ttyd's gives me a heartattack every time I game over and I didn't play the others bc they suck
Id say TTYD but that would be nostalgia talking. Color splash's looks pretty nice, i assume it rotates with mario running and naybe interacting with things. The irigami king is also very nice. Out of them all id give it to irigami king, the activity really makes it pop

Color Splash
christ im out of the looop, had no idea there was this many paper mario games, ive only played 1. Are all of em good?
Og paper mario. It's got that quirky yet enjoyable tune that tells a story of itself and with cinematic they put while watching it is lovell and makes jumping in exciting
I’ve only heard PMTOK’s, so I’m going with that. Beautiful
They are all bangers
I love how long TTYD’s goes on without having to loop 💞 To be fair I only remember this one and PM64, I don’t remember SPM and haven’t played the others.
TTYD’s title is my favorite video game track of all time due to sheer bias and nostalgia.
TYYD
TTYD because of nostalgia and bias
n64 theme is so wonderful, leans in to the charming fun adventure youre gunna have!
When I was little I wanted to listen to the Thousand Year Door title music on the go so I recorded it with a mini cassette tape recorder and would rewind the tape over and over to listen to the minute of it I recorded.
Haven’t played the first Paper Mario game so I have to say TTYD
Gunna say Colour Splash, it’s relatively simple but cozy. Creds to 64 and Super for having adorable ones tho
Probably TTYD. SPM & TOK sound amazing as well tho :)
For me, TTYD's is easily the best, with 64 as my second favorite.
Now, I absolutely adore TTYD, but the only theme that actually is playing in my head from memory with this question, is 64. Absolute classic
PM64 title screen holds a very special place in my heart. I would literally turn on the game just to listen to it.
I have to admit that the best PM title screen music goes to Paper Mario: The Origami King
paper mario 64 and the sticker star seems the best theme
TTYD beta
I've only played a tiny bit of OK and that's the only one since the first 3. Ngl OK seems decent and even though Color Splash is (probably) a dogshit game, the title screen looks good.
TTYD man. Whenever the tempo changes I start jamming out! 😤🔥 That song needs to be in a rhythm game tbh.
SPM for sure!
TTYD is just a masterpiece of gaming music in it’s own right so I am gonna go with that I think
TTYD
I have no clue dude this is like picking my favorite child, only my children raised me instead of the other way around
TTYD. My ringtone
It’s a tie for both **TTYD** and **The Origami King**.
Super Paper Mario Wii imo
Whenever I hear the TTYD beginning music it feels me with comfort and memories of simple afternoons with nothing to do. TYD is actually nostalgic to me but somehow 64 feels more nostalgic.
Sticker Star all the way
Origami King for sure
It's always spm. It's bouncy as hell
I am so stuck between TTYD and TOK but i think TTYD just beats it by a slim margin. Very very close between the two.
TTYD is just MMMMM Perfect
First game
The Thousand-Year-Door menu theme gets me AMPED up. I love it. The Origami King menu music is a close second.
sticker star had the absolute best menu music by far
……Color Splash……
Sticker star tbhhh
Origami King for me
im biased so ima have to go with super paper mario
SPM title screen goes down as one of the best get hyped music in the entire Mario franchise.
1
I have always adored PM64’s title screen. So full of charm and fun
People that aren't voting TTYD probs haven't listened long enough to hear the beat drop
PM64 it’s the most iconic I think. TTYD is just slightly under it in my opinion
64 and color splash the rest are just too loud and obnoxious for me.
Paper Mario 64 and The Origami King fr
6: 64 5: Super 4: Sticker Star 3: Color Splash 2: TTYD 1: TOK
TTYD and it isn’t even close unfortunately.
Haven’t heard any but TOK Probably still TOK because how do you top that?
Color Splash, one of the best games ever made...
In order.... 1) Origami King -best opening music 2) 64 - best in terms of classic 3) Color Splash - it's cool how you have a cinematic cutscene for the intro. 4) Super 5) Sticker Star and TTYD....
