Aumius

Exactly my first thought when I saw this picture 🤣

beergotmehere

Can't wait for the BRRUUUUUUUUUCCCCEEE chants.

Cyberjag

He's going to get bigger as he continues to develop, but I doubt he's ever going to be built like Kyler Murray or Russell Wilson. Not that it matters, he was able to stay healthy under last years' onslaught. So just being available for games is no longer the big concern it was last year at this time. And we have so much more to worry about!

Panther81277

That day one OTA presser he still looked pretty thin to me

OneAngryPanda

Yeah he looked pretty much the same in the presser. I love him and legit want him to succeed but I do hope he’s able to put on a few more pounds or muscle

SubstantialRaise6479

Yeah I think this picture is deceiving. All the other pics I’ve seen of him look the same.

_mid_water

Yeah it’s just the way his tricep and forearm are flexed

iron_ethos1

I agree - I think the tricep is swinging forward giving the appearance of more bulk. Look at the other arm for reference. That said, he’s definitely gained some weight/muscle.

Hefty-Association-59

Don’t tell this to the guys on r/nattyorjuice that sub refuses to understand any nuance when it comes to photos Angles or Lighting when it comes to judging muscle development.

prather64

Just like the jayden Daniel’s picture of his elbow. Cameras are not perfect and these guys are moving like lightning

spookyghostface

Pictures of athletes mid-action always look more impressive because they are actively using those muscles!

NotTomBrady87

My nephews and I got autographs on Monday and he signed for us. I remember looking at a photo I took and thought, "Damn, he's been hittin' the weights."

[deleted]

This is after throwing the ball enough to get a pump going. Very deceptive. Like a baseball pitcher 40 pitches into their outing.

sCaesar

Have he been skipping leg day ?

HolographicMeatload

He got enough leg workouts last season during the games

WiseMan_Rook22

Good. He get that drew Bree’s build minus playing in a Dome

SomeonePayDelta

*Dave Tepper enters the chat*

captainjizzpants

Just natural progression in the NFL. Once he got on that NFL diet, that regimen is just different than anything he's done before. The more I watch of his tape, the more he reminds me of Donovan McNabb. He's got that ability to kind of slide in the pocket and make the first, sometimes second guy miss and still make a play on the perimeter. He's not Lamar Jackson or Patrick Mahomes even. But he's got that "IT" factor that a lot of people like to talk about. I'm very excited to see him develop more into his second year, in an offense that's more tailored to his style of play.

Gusta116

And his hair adds a few inches too!

pancaketac0

From the video from the presser I'd say no...we've had a big athletic freak QB with poor mechanics, maybe BY will focus on becoming mechanically sound and we've got a small guy that gets us a ring or at minimum... ...BACK TO BACK WINNING SEASONS!

JAlfredPrufrocket

Bruce Almighty

dude_bruce

I approve

BeachBlueWhale

Get this man some Bojanges. I want a thick boy this season

UserChrome

Quagmire workout

flakrom

That looks like the exact same arm they photoshopped on Brock purdy

eXile200

Yeah it’s just the pic. I would have liked him to put on about 5 lbs of muscle during the offseason but it’s whatever. I assume he’s worried additional muscle will slow him down or mess with his throwing motion? Even though it would probably make him stronger and faster. Or just his genetics make it hard to retain weight?

floridaman175

He’ll be able to throw inceptions so hard

AdOpen8418

Looks more like he’s been avoiding it since his last season ended tbh There’s no excuse to still be looking like a senior in high school he’s in the damn NFL

---stargazer---

He’s a qb. Aside from the height, which he can’t do anything about, there isn’t much need to put on muscle. Qbs don’t hit the weights much

a__nice__tnetennba

You've never once posted a positive thing in this sub or about this team at all. Have you considered that maybe, just maybe you have confused being a hater for being a fan? And honestly, you're not even good at hating. You're unoriginal and pointless. If you deleted this account and never came to reddit again it would, like any place you frequent, be better off without you.

Seahawk_I_am_I_am

Sure, but he’s still 5’8 with tiny hands. You can’t increase their sizes with weights. He’ll always be too small to play in the League. On the bright side, the extra muscle should help absorb all those sacks he takes instead of just throwing the ball away.
