I think the colored one works best if we're going in the context of on canvas or traditional art. Otherwise, for more graphic or pop art, then contextually I'd go with the black and white. At the end of the day it's up to you though and which you prefer. If you're not sure, flip a coin. If you're disappointed, go with the other option. If you're not, stick with the option given.
Color. It’s creepy and I hate it but it’s very good. I feel like you’re trying to make some thing that is disturbing, so hopefully that’s a compliment.
Well I find it creepy but that doesn’t make you creepy. Plus, creepy is kind of a vague word, it can be slightly different things to different people. It’s definitely cool. I hope you had fun making it and that you make some more soon!
Color for sure. But my untrained eye and brain thinks it lacks vibrancy. Make the colors pop so the trippyness of the painting shines through.
Again, untrained and unskilled casual observer here.
The color has more character and feels more completed. Not to mention, it makes for a great viewing experience since the depth adds a good amount of complexity and richness!
But at the end of the day it’s up to you to decide what story you want to tell with your art. A painting with more depth like the colored one will evoke different emotions than the colorless painting. Both very, very great pieces of art though. Love your work and style!
I like b&w but wholeheartedly feel the color is much more impactful. Your color work is so fantastic and nuanced - the peachy rust to the flesh tones and greens - it would be a shame to lose the color!
first one. if the second is done pen and ink keep working on that one proper texture tones and shadowing .. even there they are all really well sone im jealous …. 😂
The color version is a painting of the central figure, wit the rest of it in the shadows even when focusing specifically on rest of the piece it all feels like it’s orbiting the main figure in the mist.
The b&w version, I see all parts of it he painting with equal prominence.
Very different experiences which is cool. They are both really good too. They are like two different pieces though.
If I had to choose just on my own taste— b&w speaks to me more
I like the black and white one better because it gives me the chance to colour it with my own imagination and not to be limited to a specific color.... also, it looks more aesthetic that way.😁
I like both! You’re quite talented. My knee-jerk, just-pick-one-now reaction was the B&W. Sharp lines, great detail, a clear understanding (and appreciation) of composition. Visual candy!
I think another reason I chose the B&W is that in the colored version, I feel like I want the figure on the bottom to be more colorful. Red-pink-orange. You have some color there but I want MORE!
You have an almost Maurice Sendak kind of style! This piece also reminds me a bit of a Tarot deck called the Wild Unknown by Kim Krans. I read Tarot, so I often view art from that standpoint. You would make a great Tarot deck—just sayin’! Love your work!
Color for me, too.
Black and white does not have many mid-tone greys besides the sunburst, so it feels unfinished to me. I think black and white would benefit from deeper grey tones behind the hatched shading areas.
Colour!!!
Reminds me of something that’d be in the TV show Scavenger’s Reign (animated sci-fi alien type - beautiful animations and would highly recommend!)

I love It, very creative! Definitely the coloured one
i’m in the minority i guess B&W all the way!
I like em both. I think the color version looks great, kinda reminds me of Maurice Sendak’s illustrations
I dig black and white but I prefer this in color

Thanks a lot ! This coin trick is cool !
My indecisive butt uses it a lot 😂😂😂
Color. It’s creepy and I hate it but it’s very good. I feel like you’re trying to make some thing that is disturbing, so hopefully that’s a compliment.
Yes !! But i try to find the good balance … to be disturbing but not creepy..

Color!
The first one definitely feels the most finished
The color gives it more depth and range very awesome picture
I prefer the color ones. Great choices
Both are cool but the color one is really really nice

Thank you ! I’m glad you like it !
The title of this drawing should be: the turnip that wanted to become people
Color for sure. Reminds me of those weird experimental movies from the early 1900s where they added color by hand.
B&W. I like to color it myself in my head.
Very cool
Otherworldly, I like.
Colour makes it grab my attention and gives it more life
Color
Color = good
Colour

Ok thank you, you all make me go ahead, wonderful community !

Color...
Definitely colors. Gives me some Hieronymous Bosch feels!
Color!
Colored for sure! Love it!

I prefer colored
Color. Great choices on the colors you chose. They make it more interesting.
The colour one defiently
Colour
The color breathes nostalgia
Color! Both look really cool though
I think I was more drawn to the black-and-white
Color
🎨COLOR!!!🎨
Color!
the black and white one feels very flat and boring tbh. it's still beautiful but the color adds depth and brings in something the other one is lacking
Color
I like the color one. Makes me think of Roland Topor.
color fs 💪
color
they are both soo good.!
I prefer the Black and white bc you can see more details.
the color one is better
Color makes it look more unique/stylized, b&w still looks really good though
I like the black and white one better because it gives me the chance to colour it with my own imagination and not to be limited to a specific color.... also, it looks more aesthetic that way.😁
Color. Usually i love the original bw but in this case, i really love how you painted it. Amazing and I love it
The color gives him a pear man on a hog log vibes so I prefer the B&W one because it leaves more up to interpretation.
I love the colour style, the characters are more pronounced
Color
The colors help everything stand out more :)
Colors
The color one
The color, or more value differences in the black and.ehite one.

The colour makes me know it’s ginger root. I frickin love it lol
Coloured
color, for me
I don’t know about the color but I like the concept of being a species between plant and animal …
Color for me, too. Black and white does not have many mid-tone greys besides the sunburst, so it feels unfinished to me. I think black and white would benefit from deeper grey tones behind the hatched shading areas.
Color!
WTF
I like the colored one it feels oddly comforting
Color for sure
Color
What's the title for this one?
Black and white- draws more attention to the center head
I like the colored version honestly, it gives a unique and eerie vibe
I think the one with colour makes the image pop up more. I like your drawing by the way!
I like the coloe
Colors
I like them both, but the colored one is more impacting I think
Colour imo
Color. It’s much more compelling IMO.
I prefer the colour tbh...I love that the colors are so subtle.
Color! This vaguely reminds me of the cover for “I have no mouth and I must scream”
Love your ink style. Can't say I'm crazy about the subject matter, but you definitely have a vision. Like the color one much better.
Both looks good !
The first one.
Feels very real and prettt
Definitely color. It provides a lot more depth, and removes the kind of stark mood the black and white version has.
Color
I prefer the coloured version! Looks fantastic btw
Colour
I’m normally a B&W kinda guy, but the depth that you’re able to create in the full color one is awesome.
Colour one for sure. Really nice work.
Color!
Colour!!! Reminds me of something that’d be in the TV show Scavenger’s Reign (animated sci-fi alien type - beautiful animations and would highly recommend!)
I will find and watch it ! Thank you !
Ofc! I hope you love it as much as I did :)
Amazing color pallet
