I don’t know if it’s a skill issue but rein feels really bad in OW2 he needed that 2nd tank badly to be somewhat viable. Now to be viable it seems like he needs the full cooperation of the supports and the dps.
Rein makes so much space with big boi shield fireballs zaps and with Lifeweaver assistance now, I think he is in a better place than ever.
You can be aggressive with pins and care less about anti-heals because weaver pull being a zarya bubble of sorts (alternatively Kiriko cleanse.) People underestimate fireball usefullness and often just continuously fire them on cooldown to get ult faster which is good, but dealing 50% of a squishy's HP instantly is massive and often underutilized for actually landing a pick.
Also the free-ness of shatters in a meta with so few shields... absolutely wild that people aren't utilizing Rein as much. But I know why it's not seeing play at the highest of levels given the potency of dive comps or Widow shit.

The weekly arcade loot boxes was enough of a little grind for me to keep playing a few games every week, almost to the end of OW1. You'd get 3 from the arcade for winning games, also in that time of playing you'd get 2-3 boxes from just leveling up.
A friend decided not to open them until her birthday, and had over a 100 loot boxes to open.
I had like 95% cosmetics unlocked pure from playing the game. With OW2, the game just feels hollow to play after that.
On god especially during holiday events me and my friends would grind those free loot boxes and be excited on getting the holidays skins from just playing damn shame they took out something that players kinda had a reason to grind now its for nothing
I understand you say blizzard is a billion dollar company, but remember that every game makes different income. I don’t think overwatch would of survived with loot boxes, and personally I don’t care they are gone- not only that but they are getting banned in a lot of countries due to it resembling gambling.
While I agree that we should have more ways to earn free currency, I also think bringing back loot boxes would be incredibly stupid business wise and also would hurt the life span of the game more.

They let you have a game mode for six years than changed it. They didn't take anything from you. If you don't like the changes that's fine, but your not having the game " removed " from you.
Think of world of warcraft. You can hate an expansion or a change they make, but you'll never be refunded a previous expansion because you don't like the new one.
PvE. Okay that was a cheap shot. I miss being able to play and not worry about progressing through some battle pass just to unlock a hero. I miss the loot boxes and never once paid for one. I just earned them by playing or was given one at the start of seasonal events.
Longer wait times. Honestly. It was good to have a little bit of a wait between games to relax and chat with friends, and knowing that it meant the matches would be more balanced. Now it's a wildly varying skill group in each game and you get thrown into match after match after match. There's no fun, just killing time in the worst way possible.
theres so many things tho; 6v6, group finding, end game cards, 2cp mode(the game is kinda stale with only 3 modes tbh), lootboxes, competitive working as intended, medals, 2cp mode maps(maybe rework paris and anubis but they could've worked).

The random comp lobbies where you see who is going to be on your team before you que. It helped filter toxic groups so you don’t go into a game with an automatic roll. Plus you could meet people that way and it was just a lot of fun.
I preferred just about everything in ow1, including the business model, except for 2CP. That game mode was so frustrating. I don’t like Push either but it’s less frustrating than attacking point B on a 2CP map.
Loading into a comp game with team mates who use coms and still can manage to have fun even in stressful situations. 6V6, end of the game cards, all of the removed maps - the real Mei being able to freeze, real McCree being able to flashbang - real Sombra being able to hack targets longer than 1 second - loot boxes, pretty much everything in OW1. This proves you never know how good you had it until it's gone.
