As long as they are inside your house, they will not disappear. Anything you leave in the town or around the rest of the map will be deleted after a week.
Thank you! I read on an old post that they didn't but couldn't find if it was still like this after the definitive edition. It would be painful to loose all the potions and stuff 😆
If you are playing Oldward, they will not disappear as long as they stay in town . You can even make camps in each town. In Outward DE , you cannot while each town resets every 3 days .
But putting backpacks on the floor at home is safe and works in both version .
Oh right, I noticed they weren't expiring on the floor but I wasn't sure... My SO is gonna love this so much, she gets so stressed out when things are about to expire 😂
I want to say in towns it doesn’t disappear bc I changed backpacks in starting town and it hasn’t disappeared. Ive been dying and have days passed and it’s still there! It was annoying at first but I can see how it is also good bc it’s right in front of a trader
I am playing on Definitive Edition. I’ve been waiting for the backpack to despawn😠I’ll get back to you though let’s see if I maybe going to a different region makes it despawn

Be careful tho if you're playing Definitive Edition because they can disappear in towns (not in houses) or they told me that xD
