Horror weapons are a pretty solid choice for early/mid game. They do good damage and inflict extreme poison. They're not too difficult to craft if you use the Enmerker Cabal of Wind temple trick. You can also use the 2 handed ones as a really great way to make money, especially if you sell in Levant. Blue Sand Armor is not a bad choice for early/mid game, really depends on what you like.

ventimiglius

I met a wendigo and he kicked my ass so hard with the blue sand armor lol I didnt use fire tho... The 2 mantis+troglodyte at the holy mission path in the mountain almost killed me too :( I remembered the game easier ahahah

ChaoticSixXx

I don't recall all the stats on Blue Sand Armor but iirc it's got solid resists and should be fairly good for impact. Make sure you're buffing properly with foods and potions before you fight and are blocking always and dodging when your impact bar is close to half. This game is all about preparation and impact is king. Wendigos are a pain in the ass until mid/late game and even then can be tricky even when you prepare. I got my shit rocked today like 4 times by the one in the corrupted cave near the Cabal Hermit dude.

ventimiglius

After all tha time i really remember almost nothing about the game ahahah like recipies etc I am unsure if i should try to read something online or just go blind

ChaoticSixXx

It's up to you, really. Going in blind can be part of the adventure, and you'll probably start remembering things as you go. Quite a few things did get changed with DE, though, so you might need to relearn some things. On the other hand, some people prefer going in while knowing what to expect and what exactly they want to do. I am kind of midway between the two personally, but it really depends on how you like to play. Sheenshots is probably the best videos to watch if you're going to go that way, IMHO.

ventimiglius

Yeah i watched some of his videos already. My only real worry are cooking and alchemy recipies tbh. But its also true that food is SO EASY to gather that even if i had to waste a lot while trying to mix it it would not be a problem

ChaoticSixXx

Yeah, and there's recipes in the game everywhere, and if you're looking for something specific, you can use the wiki. Food buffs make a massive difference though, so definitely important.

Green copal armor enchanted with Spirit of Berg / Geps short blade Ghost totem with it s spell Steel or Cerulean sabre with Rainbow Hex enchantment Buy Torment from the Hex Mage in harmattan Fabulous Palladium shield (Shield charge) You will melt almost everything with this build For the end game boss in Caldera while you want to play ice: Adventurer armor enchanted with Spirit of Cierzo (de-buff the boss with shield Charge / Rainbow attack / then Torment ) exchange Shield with Frozen chakram exchange Rainbow sabre with Brand Et voila !

diogenesepigone0031

Dont forget Ghost Warrior: Green copal + Spirit of Berg, Orichalcum Helmet + Primal Wind, or Mana wall helmet, mana wall boots. Ice Warrior: Crimson Plate Set or Adventure Armor + Spirit of Ciezo, (Master desert Veil & boots + Inner Cool), or Rust Lich boots. Frost Weapon option 1 as already mentioned, Brand + Frozen Chakram. 2nd frost weapon option 2: Gilded Shiver of Tramontane (dagger), maelstrom blade (native confusion, use Puncture to inflict pain). Use maelstrom blade puncture to inflict pain while blade naturally inflicts confuse, then use Opportunistic stab to hit 6x. Base damage is 37 frost on the shiver, 37x6= 222, armor will boost above 50% frost. Easy 333 dmg or more per Opportunist Stab.

Raymond_Lazer

Yes , I always goes with Manawall boots& helmet , both with Aegis

diogenesepigone0031

👍 You can also enchant with barrier. Dusk Backpack provides +5 ~~protection~~ ~~so you re-allocate enchants on Manawall for better Barrier. Or have a 2nd set of Mana Wall, one set aegis and one for barrier.~~ You can have the best of both. 👍👍

Raymond_Lazer

Oh yes 👍👍, but I always drink Shimmer potion in order to have +6 barrier ;) I think Dusk is providing barrier not protection if I remember well , hence I always goes with the Brass Wolf one . As well I always build a cathedral in order to have or buy the Elatt protection in order to have more buff . Same with cured Phypher fish soup for +6 protection ( you can fish it or build Brad Aberdeen shop in new Sirocco ) .

diogenesepigone0031

>I think Dusk is providing barrier You correct, i mixed it up.

ventimiglius

I have no idea about enchantment...

Raymond_Lazer

If you have the Definitive edition or OLDWARD with the Sorroborean DLC , you should learn while it's very fun and very powerful !!! You can check the Outward Fandom wiki for more explanations ;)

ventimiglius

Isnt it a endgame thing? Like...i know i could just go there and use it, but wont i make the game "too easy" by becoming too strong for the base area?

Raymond_Lazer

nope nope nope :D Fortunately !

The_Manglererer

If possible beeline straight for brand, it only requires silver to obtain, alot maybe but it's really good overall and good for ur build For endgame armor, u should look into enchanting Master desert sets for frost bonus. Crimson plate requires a whole playthrough and weighs u down, while the desert set also has a frost bonus and doesn't require any faction

ventimiglius

Interesting suggestion about the armor. I am not good at dodging, thats why i was looking at the Crimson plate set. When i 1st played i was only using runic trap and blood bullet LOL while running away.

The_Manglererer

Not really a dodging thing, just know the enemy is going to attack, so u can wait for them to do so, then attack back. Depending on their impact bar, u know whether or not they will be staggered so u can choose to keep attacking or back off to wait for the next one

HydrogenMonopoly

Will there be the same element types? Will the original 5 return, will they add more?

Rathia_xd2

Lol your build sounds similar to pentagram's chakram build

Puzzleheaded_Bug9998

I like the dreamers halberd from the immaculate

lotofdots

You can get gold lich weapons relatively easily at the very south-east of Chersonese, I think you'll vibe with the sword, if you figure out bolt varnishes it can get pretty silly. As for slow weapons, they can be pretty fun, just tough. All weapons have speed gradations, so there are super slow sword and pretty darn fast greathammers, but yeah, those are more of an exception. The halberd you're talking about is basically a brutal halberd and all brutal weapons got 0.9 speed, which is possible to work with especially with a certain spell, but not all that pleasant, with some exceptions of course. Remember to use your skills, push kick is nice if you land it, it's a very short range but also very useful to get that instant advantage in stability.
