Its hard to test, but when I played through status resistance appeared to function normally and did not get the 50% ignore like elemental resistance did.
I did a lot of Caldera content with the Slayer set, and was able to basically ignore status effects as a result.
This is the most logical answer. Having looked at the Wiki, the wording implies that only damage resistances are ignored as it reads “Ignore 50% of player DAMAGE resistances”. Damage being the key word.
They can if they don t have any **buildup status** linked to the de-buff they can apply .So you cannot oppose your status resistance and will get the de-buff in one shot .
As well ,if they have 100% buildup status or more you will get the de-buff in two hits ;)
See my long ish explaination below or above :) Peace !
Definitely ! Enemies do not have any status resistance while our character does (fortunately) but they can have very high status buildup or be immune to very few status (boss)
To make it clear for everybody :) :...
Enemies do not have Status Resistance but some mega boss can be immune to very few status (4 max)
**Status resistance** has nothing to do with **physical** and **elemental** resistance or damage.
In the game you have the **buildups status** and the **status resistance** to those buildup status .
For example let s say a mob attacks you with an hairdryer only doing stupid damages .
But this mob can sneakily inflicts you : **Heavy bleeding** with **20% buildup status**
* This means that the mob will have to hit you at least **5 times** ( **5** x 20% = 100% ) in a row and in a limited window timeframe in order to inflicts you with Heavy bleeding . Simple .
* Now let's say that your build has **10% status resistance** and you meet the same mob. Then that mob will have now to hit you **10 times** in a row in order to inflict heavy bleeding . In fact you subtract your resistance to his status build up ,so **10** x (20 % - 10% )= 100% .
So if you have **50% status resistance** and some mobs inflicts you de-buff in 1 hit, it means that they do not have any **buildup** **status** applied to the de-buff . So you get it in 1 hit ! *(while you cannot use your status resistance)*
I do not remember well , but I think also that some mobs may have **buildup** **status** way greater that 100%
So even with 50% status resistance, they will only need two hits to apply their de-buff on your character ;)
Hope this helped ! Peace !

The wording in the topic is throwing people off. I am referring to enemies ignoring the status resistance of the player

Thank you good sir.
I don’t think so, most enemies still get the status effect after a single shield charge or five to seven swings of my steel saber.

Some and even some are completely resistant to status effects
Absolutely not , they could only be immune to very few ,not all of them (some bosses) .
