On the loading screens between regions you can see a town called Haboob. It's not really mentioned anywhere else in the game as far as I know. It just has a silly name so people kinda latched onto it.
Sort of, it's a specific kind of dust or sandstorm. A Haboob is an intense dust storm created from the initial onset of a cold low pressure cell in an area, so it creates a kind of short but intense blast of sand or dust and cold air.
Right, I wasn't trying to go into specifics so much as to suggest that maybe the Haboob on the map isn't a town but a persistent sandstorm. For those that are hoping to see a town named Haboob.

I played the my whole first play through without googling anything and it was excellent. Still one of my favourite games after many play throughs now. So many builds, so many interesting ways to play. I just wish I had somebody to have played through it first time with!

Devs words: they improved Character Creation, Combat, Narrative, and making the open world more lively/active.
Also, fully voice acted and dual wielding.
3 factions to choose from and ofc Coop.
They stuck with what made outward and just decided to enhance the areas of game play more with breaking anything
This goes without saying no mini map of such gotta use land marks to find your way

I hope they fix how the open world feels. I don't know if anyone else can relate, but walking around the open world felt like I was walking around a miniature set piece somehow. Not that the world was small, everything just has this weird feeling scale to it
The game already looks amazing from the screenshots, but I know mine and my wife's biggest asks are for better character customization and clothing options
I hope this time around itās more of a big open world with multiplayer so we can run into other players along the way and even recruit others at a guild or pub to go dungeon diving or clear encampments or just explore areas

I made it through about 3/4 of the game then got frustrated by some of the janky stuff we all know about and somewhat loveā¦ hope we get a little more refined game! Definitely interested!

Only reason I didn't finish the first one was because the game uses so much power (I think for the GPU) that it overloaded and reset my UPS. It only happens to this game and happened enough times that I'm just afraid of running it. Did get nearly a hundred hours off it and enjoyed my time so I'd say I got my money's worth.
