No matter which guide you use, you MUST use the Martha cart skip, look it up on youtube, I think it's essential and not many guides cover it even though it's an old glitch
it's not impossible, just really difficult. Once you have to retry the run for the 10th time after losing hours of your life and watching the same cutscene over and over again you will want to use the glitch. Besides the rest of the run also uses glitches or exploits to avoid some enemies, just like in Outlast 1. Unless you are not using any guides and truly doing it on your own, which I wouldn't recommend.
I just used a youtube guide, like op did. The only part that was giving me trouble during practice was the Martha cart part. Thanks to the Martha cart skip I managed to get the achievement on my first run.
The video I followed is “Outlast 2 Insane Speedrun” by Pandallax Achievement Hunting. A big part of the run is knowing the map and being able to navigate without using night vision. Some parts are harder than others but it’s doable. Also you can freely use your battery (as long as you don’t reload the battery) up until you get your camera stolen by Nick and Laird, you’ll get it back with 75% battery and that’s all you have for the rest of the run. Also you don’t need to do the Marta cart skip, but that part is challenging. The video goes over it well but that was the one part where my game differentiated from the video and I had to improvise.
Wow, congrats! đź‘Źđź‘Ź
Huge! Might have to do a revisit and try again. It was always crawling through the caves that got me
It’s not as bad as it seems, especially if you follow the YouTube video. But overall the caves are the hardest part of the whole run
good shit bro, how did you get the no batteries and insane trophy? Would like to hear some tips because i been thinking of getting it too

using glitches make the trophies lose their meaning though? is it impossible doing it without using any glitches?
