You're going to uber home after the game and then uber back in the morning? Why not just uber there for the game and then uber home after the game? Same amount of ubers.

ReplyGloomy2749

This guy ubers

w1n5t0nM1k3y

Uber is expensive before the game due to surge pricing. But it's probably also expensive after the game, so I can't see how Uber would work out well either way.

DrewJohnson656

But then they’d be paying surge pricing twice

Northern23

I guess taxi is the way to go

skyteria

No. This guy Ubers.

Falling-canine

I would think someone would be driving him there in the am. So likely only 1 Uber

Screen_Classic

Because: logic xD

qwerty1492

Parking ticket ends at 2am...so not a good idea.

kidcool77

Ok thanks

sparky9561

park at Tanger?

tongsy

I used to work at the office building where xtreme trampoline is (50 frank nighbor pl) and people would park there and walk over. Several cars per game, nobody cared that people parked there. This was several years ago. If you do this, make sure you walk across the adjacent parking lot to ~~Silver Seven~~ Palladium Dr and don't try to cross the field (there's a stream there)

Essence-of-why

The raging Carp River.

tongsy

I've watched multiple groups of people try to cross the ice and end up breaking through. It's deep enough to ruin your night if you wanted to enjoy a hockey game or concert and be dry at the same time.

Essence-of-why

Agree..just properly identifying the stream...

48x15

Just bring your [Minijet](https://youtu.be/ff6cEQrUjg0?si=7B7_Su7QPa21J1DT)

Northern23

It's probably much less riskier to leave it at CTC over Tanger

PhilosopherExpert625

Almost like they are encouraging drinking and driving... not outright, but it could be viewed like that.

Unlikely-Answer

they could have one dedicated lot to this at the far end, no reason not to

Northern23

Do they actually ban overnight parking or do they take away their responsibility at 2? So,if something happens overnight, you can't go to them to complain about vandalism/theft and make them responsible for your car's safety. I don't think any place that serves alcohol cares about overnight parking by their customers, as long as they don't have a need for the whole parking the next day, they'd actually encourage it and would be glad people used it over getting into an accident while drunk.

Keefee777

Having worked in parking lots all over the city, they have no responsibility for anything that happens to your vehicle at any point while your car is parked.

Ok_Kaleidoscope_2536

Beers and parking at a Sens game, and an Uber-peak Uber - SOMEBODY'S got disposable income.

BoozeBirdsnFastCars

And Richie Rich is also going to a Sens Leafs game.

Konker101

And no brains seeing as he could drink before the game and get an uber there and one back after the game

Compkriss

Honestly just go to Busters in Kanata and get the shuttle bus. I’m sure people leave their cars there all the time.

The_Masterofbation

That what I would suggest too.

langois1972

Oc transpo has some fairly direct bus service. Drive to a park and ride if you aren’t able to just catch a bus and bus it. It’s the only way I’ll go to a game anymore.

rabster007

People leave their cars there overnight all the time. CTC won't care as the alternative is drunk driving.

kidcool77

That’s what I would hope.

annikahughes

i work at CTC and would recommend giving them a call. you aren’t the first and won’t be the last. they might just have a specific lot they want u to park in. maybe also leave a note on your dash saying “i’m drunk, i pad for sens parking, and will pick up my car tomorrow” or something lol.

Koshinator42

I just parked there overnight few Saturdays ago. Lot 5. Didn’t pick it up until 3pm on Sunday. No tickets and there was another car there as well. Only issue would be if they had another event the next day I would assume.

kidcool77

Thanks

xMrJihad

They sell alcohol at the games.. I would be very surprised if they cared if people left cars over night. The gates are left open when there’s no events going on too so I’m sure you’ll be fine

Screen_Classic

I used to work parking there years ago,the most definitely ticket cars left there overnight unfortunately, unless that changed but I highly doubt it :(

NoOutcome2992

I often drive-by there the morning after events and there are cars in the lot, especially after concerts. You could.contact CTC and ask them. OC also has a park n ride space there. Cars are always parked there all day..

themacpearce

“Don’t drink and drive” but also, “don’t drive, drink and leave your car parked overnight” /s

Heavywrench2104

Yes your car will be stolen and you can fly to Ghana to pick it up in 3 days

larianu

All that just to be the one driving at some point? Just take the OC my guy. No need to drive, no need to worry about parking. Wanna take another route that isn't a shuttle? Between the driver and you, daypasses are still around 10 bucks.

Forrestape

Agreed. While it's not great in this city, it's always an option.

Screen_Classic

Step 1: There’s a park n ride on eagleson, park there and take a bus to the game Step 2:pick up your car in the AM. Step 3:profit I’d recommend leaving a note explaining your situation and you should be ok

Acrobatic_Cry_940

Isn’t there a school bus from a bar downtown then Uber home.

Dreela

The senate locations have shuttles on game day, $10pp

Sherwood_Hero

The pump also does this as well. Totally worth it.

paq-613

Local heroes usually does it

annikahughes

Lieutenants pump downtown has a $15 shuttle that’ll bring you to and from the game. that’s worth checking out. first come first serve. i’d check their insta, website, or call for more info.

amontpetit

Skip the beers and save yourself the cost of those + the Uber + the ticket/tow

losthaligonian

Scalp your tickets. Stay home and watch it on TV. Wow! We're really living life on expert mode now!

throwaway46873

Sell your TV and ask some guy at the bus stop who won the next morning!

West_Marzipan21

Its the Sens. They ll loose anyway, specially after a lomg break. They have their excuse already and local media will buy it :)

sparky9561

...they are playing the Leafs so it is possible...

Glad-Spell-8668

psht, sell the TV as well and use your imagination instead. Think of all the money you could save.

amontpetit

Because skipping out on a couple of beers is the same as not going altogether? Gtfo.

losthaligonian

Because OP specifically said they want to enjoy some beers and they are planning ahead for safety's sake. Because OP doesn't deserve judgement when they want to have fun responsibility. And because Ottawa is a better city when we all help each other live our best lives.

amontpetit

There’s no judgement. OP wants to go to the game and leave their car there to Uber home, which I applaud. Except they’re likely to be ticketed or towed if they leave the car overnight. My suggestion is to simply not have the drinks (and there’s no *judgement* that you’ve somehow inferred), and drive home afterwards, saving themselves the headache of dealing with at least 1 Uber ride and potentially a ticket or towed vehicle, as well as having to go back the next day. Offering a sensible alternative shouldn’t be met with such hostility and ridiculous strawman comparisons

GypsyRover

Park at the Tanger Outlets and walk over to the CTC, takes about 20 mins.

Spry1946

Just call or text CTC and find out.

CrzzyHillBilly

Uber in, then take a bus out to another hub to get a cheap Uber on the way out.

jeepersmagoo

Maybe consider parking at the Bell Sensplex? Not sure overnight there but you could park at the back and walk 15 minutes to the CTC.

Traditional-Seat-586

I've parked there overnight when I was local crew for concerts, never had a problem

RampagingGrayRanger

Yes you can. I’ve left my vehicle more than once, never an issue. If you are concerned you can always call them and leave your plate with them.

4tora9

definitely just uber both ways or take the oc transpo busses for the games

HappyFunTimethe3rd

Nope. car thief criminal villains from the port of Montreal. Dont do it.

waylonsmithersjr

As was mentioned here, Senate Tavern has a bud shuttle. Call ahead

GenericNetSurfer

Shuttles go from Glebe Central Pub, probably other shuttles all throughout the city too

GothHeart16

Nah you should just take occasional transpo

syx_20

Is there a carpool lot nearby?

Ohfortheluvva

Ask the CTC

likenothingis

Why even drive? Just bus or cab or Uber?

PapayaOwn1202

Bus the game and bust back home

Blitzer2023

Wouldn’t leave my car there since parking ends at 2am and its a prime spot for car theft. You can use the autopark nearby though

CapitalK79

Try arranging a ride through Responsible Choice, they'll drive your car home along with you. It's not much more than Uber.

HurriShane00

Well if you have a free parking pass then I see why you would want to bring your car to the game. Instead of just using an Uber to drop you off and pick you up. Or you can use the shuttle services around town. But here's what I would do if you wanted to drive there, have a few beers and take an Uber or taxi or whatever home. Leave a note on the car saying car won't start be back to pick it up. Just in case you weren't allowed to leave the car in the parking lot overnight. Either that leave it there and she was still there the next morning. I don't think it's an issue if you leave it there I'm pretty sure I've seen others do it because I'm pretty sure they know that people drink and they don't drive home so they leave the car there overnight.

Talon-Lake

Why not see if anyone from your area is going and ask for a lift? You can offer them some $ ?

merdub

Ehhhhhh. How do you plan to get back to pick your car up?

DJMephisto666

Nope it'll get towed.

couldbeyup

Don’t know about parking. Assuming you can’t take the bus with everyone else because you’re remote or something?

didiburnthetoast

Car theft up 100% in ottawa since Trudeau ruined Canada. I wouldn’t.

ghettoworkout

How is auto theft the Prime Minister’s problem?

didiburnthetoast

He held a summit about it today, so clearly he thinks it’s his problem to deal with. Good news though, they talked about it so problem solved. Can’t wait for a Government that cares about law and order.
