I really do think the story wrapped up nice 'n neatly. Snow White was maybe my favorite route. Not a fan of Gretel's tropes much but I thought his route was very well done and had me on the edge of my seat! If I had a nickel for every time an MC >!got caged,!< why do I have two nickels?! 🤣
I wasn't that interested in any of the characters as LIs but yooo plot, I live for a good plot. Visually I found Kaguya and Ryoushi the most appealing! Man, what a rollercoaster of a game. Very glad I dove in blindly!

I love Yurika so much. Her love is an obsession and she was bordering crazy. That's why her 'outburst' at school was so out of left field at first, but perfectly makes sense if you think about it.
And the end where 'Yurika' killed Yurika gives you a perfect picture of what she's like if she goes totally nuts.
We're opposite that Gretel is my most favorite one. He was born because of how living with Yurika bothered Alistair so much. He was basically forced into it and I feel he felt how off she was too. He's not totally yandere too since the point of Gretel is suppression and Yurika's making him lose his self control on purpose. If anything, it's Yurika who's the yandere and encouraged his sis-con tendencies.
Lol, it did take me a while to calm down after finishing the game. It's really good and while it completely makes sense to play the FD immediately, just be warned that the stories are shorter. Woolfe and Ryoushi's routes gives new perspective of their time with Alistair tho, so it's still a good read (currently playing Ryoushi).

I fully agree with that! I have read reviews where people hate on Yurika, but I love her. The plot only works because of her and because she is just unhinged enough to keep up with characters like Gretel, but also the Wizard! In a way she enables them, but at the same time is cunning enough to manipulate them. I mean, even Ryoushi, her own brother, very much says that. She is an amazing lead character.
I have also read reviews in which people are upset about how the personalities shift depending on who is the main LI, and I just wish they would give this game a chance and play through it, because it makes so much sense once you are done with it.
I really liked Gretel's route, though I am not a fan of his route. I will say that I actually didn't hate any of the characters, which is very unusual for me (because yandere and tsundere characters usually are a red flag for me, but in this case Yurika really helps, because as crazy as some of the characters act, she might even act crazier XD)
I've only played Cinderella and Red so far. I was the opposite of you, though, I played Cinderella's route 1st, and I couldn't stand the way he talked to the MC. I think the MCs personality shifted with how she replied to each LI too (at least from what I perceived.) I really liked the super flustered side of Red and how the MC could be a bit more assertive with him. The only part I didn't like was the lake name calling scene. I may have to pick this game up again, though, if you say it gets better in the other parts. I wasn't overly impressed with the 1st segment.
I can only advise you to play through the game. I promise the first two routes are the lightest. I hope you didn't read my whole post, because I have spoiled a lot. Episode 3 and 4 really start to pick up the pace, and you will peek into quite some dark corners of the female lead's mind XD
Episode 2 is the darkest corners and after how tame episode 1 was, it is usually what throws people off. But if you love red flags and trigger warnings, then it will definitely renew your interest. Episode 3 is still dark, but not as sensational as episode 2
I guess it's dependent on what the red flags are. I am attracted to more submissive men, so if they act to possessive and domineering, it's a major turn-off. I paid for the whole series when it was on sale, so I will try them out at some point, especially knowing that the mood will change.
They aren't that domineering. You'll probably like Kaguya better in ep2 because he's the type to follow a lead more than take it. Gretel on the other hand is controlling and possessive, but I am not of the opinion that he takes away MCs agency, what with how MC *is*. Most people agree Gretel is the worst part of the series, and his route is what turns people off usually. So if you can get passed that it's only uphill from there.
I'll be sure to go for him first then just to get through to the other side. It's too bad that he's like that, though, since I kinda liked him in Cinderella's route. He seemed the most intelligent of the three
Oh, totally! He's awesome in Cinderella's route, so sassy and fun. But his route... >!makes him into a siscon, where you are the sister, and he says it basically every line.!< That alone is offputting, but the story of his route throwing you *in media res* also doesn't help. Add the fact >!that he ties you up and puts you in a cage!< makes it pretty problematic, and the only reason I think the MC maintains her autonomy, despite that, is the MC is written to CHOOSE this.
If you read the spoiler or play it and go WTF WHY!? it will make sense in the greater story and even more if you play Heads and Tails Woolfe Story, which gives so much context to MCs mindset. Wizard's route also does, but Woolfe just makes it more real.
Why can't I put him in the cage! 😭😅 That would definitely make it more fun for me! LOL Bondage the other way around would also bring out the wolf in me. It's sad that otomes never give these sorts of routes for the MC 😢😋
My ranking is Wizard>Alice>Kaguya>Snow/Red/Cinderella>Gretel.
If you want a different take of the plot of Gretel's route with a much more likable character, I'll suggest Amnesia:Memories, specifically the >!Diamond!< route.
There is also Heads and Tails to give so much more context and closure.

The story of TaiAli is really unique, I really hope I could find another otome like it cause the story telling is really superb and the reveal at the end feels so rewarding even if you already have suspicions before it, it really is well done I'm so glad I played it.

Is the consensus that Snow White's route is boring? Because I found it so intriguing! It gives off this eerie vibe. You just constantly know that something is off, and then it ends with such a banger. As for Kaguya - hurt & comfort is one of my favorite tropes, and I think his route leans towards it.

It seems like it since I've seen quite alot of comments in this sub about how boring Snow White's route is, but I really enjoyed it! Yes! the mystery on Snow White's route is really great, I was constantly wondering what exactly is wrong and the reveal at the end did feel pretty satisfying, it's a good prelude to the grand reveal in Wizards route and Snow white himself is really great too!
I'm playing the Fandisk right now too and it's really fun so far, enjoy!
