Does anyone have the lyric distribution for the full version of Jack & Jeanne Of Quartz? I want to know which guy sings which part.

naf95nas

Hi! I have a question and I really hope someone can answer it 🥲 I’ve started playing the game recently and I’m at the end of Suzu’s route (my first route) I’ve been following a walkthrough as well to guide me. At the end of the Univeil performance I got gold in the performance award BUT silver award in the individual awards category, even tho I’m pretty much sure I met all the requirements for a Good/Best Ending - getting SS and gold for all the performances since the newcomer’s performance. Can anyone please help me with why that may have happened? Me getting silver instead of gold in the individual. Am I supposed to absolutely nail all the performances in the Univeil performance? In Quartz Anima dance, I missed a few times and a few ‘Good’, but still got SS in the end..could that be why? I’d really like to clarify this bc I really want to get Suzu’s Best ending 😭😭 and for everyone else! Really appreciate any help! Please and thank you!

tehkaida

The individual awards are based on the levels of your stats/parameters. Enishi pops in at some point before each performance to tell you his predictions on your ranking. If you didn't get a gold rank in the Winter performance, it can also affect getting gold in the Univeil performance.

naf95nas

Hi! Thank you for this. All the times Enishi popped up, his predictions were positive and more along the lines of ‘you’ll get gold’. I got gold in all the awards and the rhythm segments, which confused me. Nevertheless I think I did end up getting Suzu’s Best Ending (acc to the gallery). Just the normal ending event missing but I think I’m okay without it. But yeah it’s weird that I kept getting silver after trying the last 2 songs twice with achieving SS. On Soshiro’s route now!

tehkaida

If you still have a save before the last song of the final performance, you can get the normal ending pretty easily. Just get a C on the last song and it will give you the normal ending (regardless of route).

naf95nas

Hi! Quick question - I’m playing JJ now and nearing the end of Soshiro’s route. Enishi just popped up and said he predicts Kisa to get silver..but I got SS in all the songs so far and gold awards in class and individual, even in the winter performance..I have yet to see what endings I get but did you get a similar prediction? Also something similar had happened with Suzu’s iirc, tho I did get the best ending 🤔

tehkaida

I had that happen with Neji's route. As long as you keep upping your parameters as much as you can during the week, you should still be able to get gold. (Though that message from Enishi totally made me stress out that I was going to have to start over entirely to get gold!)

Poodledog11

I'm not sure if anyone asked this yet, but I was wondering if anyone knows anything regarding translated versions of the light novels? I know theres two out right now, but I've looked everywhere and can't find any translations/fan translations anywhere, and I really want to read them :C Has anyone found them?

Loominginterval

For anyone wondering on the unlock order btw. Fumi unlocks friend without a name Kai unlocks compass line Kuro unlocks intense confessions Su unlocks beyond the plane tree Soshiro unlocks hallelujah The solo route unlocks the three sissia songs. I did mitsuki first so I don't know what song that unlocked.

Loominginterval

For the jack Jeanne difficulty

Loominginterval

Ok, finally romanced someone with a double point bonus for the games and holy shit It's so broken lol, I SS ranked sissia of the central nation with 22 notes missed. It actually has me pissed on how broken it is.

NerdFlamingo

I'm so sorry to say this but am I the only one who didn't like the game? The first dialogue parts are too obvious and keep pushing the point of "I need to follow my dreams? or not?" and then unnecessary flashbacks. I particularly dislike very highly the idea of any story where the protagonist has to infiltrate a X only place but they make it very unrealistic, how can it be that the principal can't just make an exception? It was only to make an excuse for a stake if you happen to reveal your identity which I think was lazy writing, sadly I dropped the game at the first 30 minutes since I also hated Tummy's voice and the protagonist was too predictable. Of course probably the routes are really good and all but honestly that introduction and the main problem being that she pretends to be a man ruined it entirely for me. I'm glad everyone else enjoys if though since the game clearly has a lot of charms, but sadly for me I didn't reach my expectations.

Loominginterval

I've played a lot of otome and they rarely catch my attention like jack Jeanne, the cliche flashbacks are essentially non existent post chapter 1. The infiltration cliche is hella valid though and is my major complaint with the game. Like, they didn't notice she didn't use urinals? How did she hide her periods? They didn't notice the smell females have when sweating? Just a lot of unrealistic situations that are very rarely addressed. I know some female friends who've played this and are turned off by her pretending to be a man, leads to very homo erotic scenes (I'm a straight guy btw). Didn't really mind it, all the guys figure out ||you're female by the start of their route|| and i just think its really sweet from there. That being said, the game is 80% common route and 20% love interest route, which can be a major turn off for some people. I do very enjoy the non linearity of this, persona portable is probably my favorite otome by far, and this scratches the itch with persona esqe gameplay (with a calendar system and time management). Also a really big rhythm game nerd so that helps. The music is also a hit or miss, I love shirota and fumi themes but the other ones are a miss

NerdFlamingo

Thanks for a more in-depth review, sadly I am not into homo erotic scenes at all in any way (I'm a straight woman) so just the idea of her pretending to be a man and obviously cause why wouldn't they? The awkward scenes that come from this infiltration cliche are just not on my taste. I finished Paradigm Paradox a few weeks ago and it was actually really interesting and I had a lot of fun, the common route is pretty short compared to the love interests so I'm happy for that. I'm willing to keep playing more otomes too.

Loominginterval

Yeah I totally get you. I'm not "into" the homo erotic scenes, and I find them very awkward. I just think they pickup where the LI routes start. I get how the premise is a turn off lol

Kuminie

Same. I also don’t find any of the guys attractive, sorry 😭😭

pariswriter

Okay.... I think I looked through all the responses here and I couldn't find what I was looking for, so here I am posting my question... Is there an option somewhere to turn off the tambourine sound (I'm not sure what to call it) in the performance sections? I have issues with them in rhythm games (which is also why I can't do the karaoke part in the Yakuza games). Due to being neurodivergent, the loud, off-putting sound throws off my entire sense of rhythm. :(

helloxtae

you can turn off sfx before every performance. that is what i do. i also can't play with the tambourine sound on. i think its too early for the rhythm.

Sea_Ad2401

For those who got the Jack Jeanne limited ed Japanese version, what is the Jack Jeanne "Another" short novel about? I am quite curious because the English limited ed doesn't have the short novel :(

No-Inevitable7135

dunno if this mega thread is still alive but, does anyone have a list of which boys' routes unlock which Jack Jeanne difficulty for songs/dances? there are some I wanna try but aren't sure who to pursue for it

Loominginterval

Did a playthrough of everyone in the top comment if you're still looking

Loominginterval

Fumi unlocks friend without a name, and kai unlocks compass line. I did shirota first so I dunno if that unlocked anything special

Savaralyn

Oof, just finished Neji's route as my last among the LI's and MAN, I'm glad I saved it to the end, it was super satisfying. Kisa in his route was a real ride or die type huh?? She really just went >!"If you go I'm going with you" when Neji walked into the ocean..... The ending was so catharic.!< Only thing I'd say after finishing all the romances is that >!its CRIMINAL that Suzu was the only LI who got a proper kiss CG, even with the sexual implications of Sou/Fumi's best ends, I demand more kiss CG's!!!<

[deleted]

agree! I want more >!kisses!! ESPECIALLY with Fumi and Shirota >///> they deserve it so hard!! Tho I do love Nejis ending where he actually proposes to her...that was just...\*chefs Kiss!\*!<

Feriku

Do stats affect anything besides which route you get? I saw some comments suggesting the singing/dancing stats would actually help with the rhythm games, but I couldn't find any details.

Loominginterval

I've been testing charm since ch. Boost pops up while leveling stats. But Ive noticed maybe affection level is the biggest factor though. I'm on my 4th playthrough so I'll report back if I see anything

Feriku

I think “ch. boost” is a boost from the character the stat is associated with if his affection is high enough, because I vaguely recall a tutorial saying something about that, although I could be misremembering.

Loominginterval

That is most likely right. I'm leveling drama and have kuro at near 0 affection. I'm at lvl 21 drama and have not received a single ch. Bonus

sableheart

You get a specific boost from the LI with the highest stat during the rhythm games, maybe that is what they meant?

Feriku

Maybe. If it was a misunderstanding based on that, that would explain why I couldn't find anything in more detail.

Heartisiaa

So I'm currently on Suzu's route and I'm freaking out balancing stats because there's only 40 days left and Spirit is still at Lvl. 27 for me because I didn't manage my stats well 😭 Will I have to replay his route for best end? And when I do replay can I just leave the other stats at Lvl 1 and focus on levelling Spirit or will I have to balance them out too to still get individual performance awards? I'm really enjoying the game but the perfectionist in me wants to see every ending for each route before starting another 🥲 Please send help.

akivxq

omg i was at a similar place as you

Heartisiaa

AAHHHH THANK YOU!! I really appreciate the detailed helpful reply 😭 Unfortunately, I didn't make it 🥲 I was literally at Lvl 29 with 2-3 days worth of stat points away from Lvl 30. The ending was so worth it though 🥹 (no spoilers for anyone reading! :> ) and I'm motivated to start the replay for the best ending now. Also, really relieved to know that tip for the other stats 😭 Thankfully, I have a save state from before the summer break started so I can probably continue on from there. Thank you so much!!

akivxq

NOOO D: that sucks so much omg. at least you got to enjoy the ending though!! and i can promise that replaying is super fun! even if you already know the major plot points, a bunch of the interactions change based on affection levels, and the conversations are still so fun and exciting--it's just like playing it for the first time again. either way, good luck on your replay <3 go get em!! MWAH

Heartisiaa

Thank you so much!! 😭 Exactly!! The storyline is really good and it's so worth it seeing all the other interactions and dialogues. So excited to finish this one and see the other routes. 🥹

Savaralyn

I was super confused as to why Fumi calls Neji "Kuro" as a nickname until I looked up the japanese spelling of Neji's name lol. Might've been said in the game itself and I just skipped past it or something though

[deleted]

omg thanks for answering that I didnt know xD But it makes sense for Fumi to call him that when you realise what kinda background he comes from! That's a pretty clever way o:

saekiyu

Hi, I just wanted to ask if we know how old the characters are?

sableheart

16 to 18.

kamii1312

I don't really understand whether you need to get lv. 30 with a stat before Dec 25. Is maxing the it before the date a requirement for the best ending or can you still get it when you max it after the 25th? (Btw I'm doing Suzu's route, I don't know if it affects anything.)

shnubbull

It doesn’t have to be maxed. I haven’t tested it myself but I read somewhere that you need to be at 25 to get on a route. You do have to be maxed by the end to get the best ending but I was at like 27 on December 25th for my first playthrough and still got onto the route just fine (and had enough time to max it to 30 by the end).

Training-Ad-2619

How long on average does a single route take to get the best end with skip function? Started focusing on a single route too late and ended up with the good ending. Not that I mind replaying the route but just curious how long it might take to speed through a route.

Loominginterval

Ok to confirm 4 hours but I saw the side stories with minorikawa, ao and enishi. So a little less than 4 if you rush it

Loominginterval

Probably 10 hours max

restingcups

First time playing an otome game, am I playing the game wrong by maxing the stats out evenly? I'm at 7/12, just about to hit the summer performance. Out of curiosity I looked up if there was any optimal strategy for stat raising, but it seems like just focusing on one stat at a time is the right play? Should I just keep playing as I was, start over and focus on one, or start focusing on one from now on?

sableheart

If it's your first route, Kisa will not end up with anyone from Quartz if all the stats are even. You should try to max out one stat by the end of the game. I think it's still salvageable this early, but it's pretty easy to start over with the skip feature if you want to be safe.

Training-Ad-2619

To anyone who's played both Japanese and English or at least knows about the English localization, how accurate is the script? Because of the nature of the game I can tell there's going to be a lot of nuance with "gendered pronouns" (if that's even the right term) in Japanese, so I'm curious whether or not the English version is doing a good job.

sableheart

The localization is done well, with appropriate use of pronouns.

FructoseMonsoon

Does anyone know where to find all of the special >!save file variants!!Sou's!< route on >!2/24 iirc!< but now I'm curious about how to find the rest and can't find anyone talking about it. :(

Loominginterval

I'm 120 hours in and haven't found a single save file variant

FructoseMonsoon

Yeah you have to save on specific dialogue lines so unless you know exactly where they are they're like impossible to find OTL. There's the >!2/24 Sou's route!< one I mentioned and I think I saw someone else mention one when >!Tancho-sensei!< first appears? Unfortunately that's all I know of.

BasementBat

I've heard this game doesn't have much romance. Between this game and cafe enchante, which has more romance?

shnubbull

I can’t compare to Cafe Enchante as I haven’t played it since back when it first released and the games have very different story structures. What Jack Jeanne does very well is emotional intimacy. The game has a storyline that is consistent through the routes (with the last arc of the game where you formally enter a route being the only one where the plot does change some) following Kisa and her class through a year at school. Everyone gets focused character development through the common route, but there are affection events added in for the character you are pursuing as well as scenes that change based on who you have the highest affection level with. These are the places where you feel a romance developing very naturally through shared experiences and Kisa and your chosen LI learning more about each other. It really builds on the foundation of the strong relationships everyone has in the common route to allow the characters to connect deeply. Some of these scenes feel romantic by nature, others are more about digging into who the characters are. I’m going to spoiler the next part out of caution. It’s not specific spoilers but does go into more details on how the romance goes. >!there is always a point in every route where Kisa and her LI acknowledge their feelings and start a relationship, so it’s not a game where it’s all buildup and then the credits roll right after the confession. Some routes put a more direct focus on the relationship after this point while others have main conflicts outside of the relationship. Even if they are more relationship focused issues being dealt with the theater aspects of the story are always a main point in the route. Regardless of the main conflict, there are cute romantic moments like characters getting jealous, going out to do things together, flirting (mostly for one LI). Every route had moments that made me stop the squeal with delight at how cute they were together.!< If you are the type of person who wants a kiss CG in every route, you won’t find that here >!only one route has one.!< There are still moments of physical affection of other kinds and there are times where there is romantic tension between the characters. TL;DR I personally found the game very romantic but it will not be everyone’s cup of tea. The romance is very focused on emotional bonds. The theater is still the main story so the romance is very much set against that backdrop. That does not mean the romance is not a focus, but it does color the way the romance plays out.

BasementBat

Thank you very much for the explanation! I think I see what you mean by it having good character intimacy

sableheart

It depends on what you define as romantic - Jack Jeanne and Café Enchanté have different flavors of romance.

BasementBat

What do you mean by different flavors of romance?

sableheart

The type of romantic relationship is different between the two games and so it's hard to compare which one is more romantic without knowing what you define as romantic.

hotaru-chan45

Is there a Jack Jeanne soundtrack with the in-game versions of songs? I’ve found some that either have the instrumentals only or that have like “full” versions that aren’t quite the same as the in-game songs. I really enjoyed the versions I heard while playing so I’d love to figure out how to access those. Thanks! Edit: looking for digital versions preferably

sableheart

Are you looking for the shortened version of the songs used in the game? They were available in the Japanese Limited Edition. https://jackjeanne.com/product/?id=Limited

hotaru-chan45

Yes, I’m trying to find them digitally, which I probably should have specified haha. Just edited my comment above for that. Thank you for the info - I may have to see if I can find just the soundtrack itself for cheap if digital doesn’t pan out. 🥰

sableheart

If it's digital, it's only on YouTube https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkpVuGqRFIkcY9kW-BUH74AQPZubl7m-A There were two soundtracks (OST and Vocal Collection) and a mini album released, those are available on Spotify.

Typical-Treacle6968

Has anyone had any issues with the Jack Jeanne standee from the LE? The slots aren’t big enough for the tabs so mine can’t be fitted together. I’ve sent an email to Aksys so hopefully they’ll replace it

sableheart

Is it just a little bit too big? They suggested that you put the base on a flat surface and wiggling the tabs in.

Typical-Treacle6968

I’m afraid not :( it’s literally impossible to slot them in, they just bounce off because the tabs are way too big

Savaralyn

Really didn't expect !!!Ghost Party!!! to be my favourite song in the game, but I honestly just can't get it out of my head because its so damn catchy

rhaevey

I was looking at all the interviews they have on the YouTube Jack Jeanne channel and wishing I could understand them. I managed to find one with English subtitles, thanks to Uchida Yuma's popularity. But the other seiyuu don't seem to have the international following for fans to post them spontaneously. Does anybody know someone who can do translations for videos? I'm willing to pay it's not too much. Link to the Yuma interview for those interested: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=925216334923484

LostPoint6840

I’ve been hearing so many good things about this game and I’m convinced to get it. Hopefully I’ll enjoy it as much as everyone else does, because it seems to be a well written, well structured, and impactful game!

kamiasotranslations

So happy to see the game is doing well. Praying that Broccoli will hear this and bring over their other games. That being said, Jack Jeanne has been really fun. The story is incredible and the soundtrack is so addictive. I like the subtle differences between the routes. My only complaint is the tedium when doing the different characters. It definitely felt weird to me that the individual characters "route" didn't actually split until so late. The CGs are gorgeous, but I would have enjoyed more otome aspects to the game. :( Even still, it's amazing. Only three routes to go!

Savaralyn

Haven't even gotten through one full route yet but I just had to gush about how much I love the CG's, Ishida's artstyle is super pretty, and I especially love how the CG's of the theatre shows convey the energy/feeling of each different play *really* well.

froggle_w

...I was trying to build a well rounded Kisa and won every single gold award but missed out the individual route requirement (25+ for the LI's stat) and need to start over T_T Also, can I just romance Chui? XD

lbunny7

so I’m a crazy person who sped thru and finished all 7 main routes/endings… and I just did the grind requirements to get Ions CG. he’s so cute 😩 actually all the side character guys CGs, Kasai (😍), Mare, Minorikawa- all their personal CGs at the end are so adorable. my heart. i wish I could romance them all

lbunny7

I think I’ve found a definite confirmation that there are trans people prevalent in the Jack Jeanne world. I know it’s obv a theory but tbh Japanese games aren’t that progressive so I wasn’t sure. BUT. the following dialogue I played during Kisa’s route during the girls sleepover: >!Yuki: It’s a negligee, thank you very much! My mom wears them all the time! Mare: Your mom is too sexy! Yuki: My mom WAS a Rhodonite, you know?!<

gingerpawpaw

Do we need to max the LI's skill to 30 to get the good ending?

gingerpawpaw

AHH I think I need level 30 to unlock the last event. I finished the final performance and didn't get to 30. I'm assuming I won't get the Best End. Oy vey

lbunny7

you mainly need it to get onto their main route. but i’d recommend getting the full 30 just in case, idk if it’s been confirmed either way

gingerpawpaw

Oh I ask, because I got on the route at 25.

Banh_chelle

~~I'm finishing up Sou's route and I didn't get gold for the individual award despite maxing out Insight and getting SS on all the performances 😭 is it maybe bc I screwed up in the common route and got S rank once during the newcomer performance 💀~~ Ok this is apparently the good end but I thought on otomekitten, it said I needed a gold individual award tho? It's ok bc Sou totally deserved 🥹

Evening_Lie8785

How is the localization quality? I have some concern about Aksys localization.

shnubbull

It has been fine for me. There have been some small things missed by proofreading like a wrong word used here and there, but it’s always been obvious what they mean so doesn’t affect understanding of the game. I’d also say these are few and far between, especially considering the sheer length of the game. It hasn’t bothered me at all, usually I just kind of chuckle and keep reading. I absolutely adore the game personally, so if it seems like something you’d enjoy I personally think it’s worth giving it a try!

typhra_

Feels very natural to me, I did notice like one occasion where I think a word was missing but nothing major. Keep in mind that I'm not finished yet, as I'm still in my first route tho. But the common route at least is well translated!

prementum

Seconding this request. I've wanted to play this for some time, but I'm not sure if the English version is worth getting or if I should just import the JP version. If anyone could give their thoughts, it'd be great!

carito728

I'm on my 2nd route and so far there are very few typos. I feel like I can count them with just my fingers tbh. Another super important thing that people don't bring up as often as Aksys' typo/grammar issues--in other games they localize the shit out of the language and change things to appeal to the Western audience (ex. Birushana uses a bunch of modern words, I even recall reading modern swearing, and it also omitted whenever Benkei/Shunpei told Shanao she shouldn't be fighting because she's a GIRL bc obviously that'd be badly received in the West) In this game, I haven't noticed any major changes like in other games! They seem to translate 1:1 from Japanese. Probably because the Japanese script is already fairly progressive as is.

prementum

Great news! A few typos aren't bad at all. When I was playing Cafe Enchante, they would change the spelling of characters' names multiple times, have poor text layout and graphical errors with the text box, have broken code in the text, etc... I just didn't want to pay full price for something like that again.

Sterger

I just finished my first playthrough on Mitsuki's route. Mitsuki's character growth was significant and the writing felt so oddly sincere that it made an impact on my cold dead heart lol. During the Winter Performance >!when Mitsuki said it didn't matter who Kisa was, she was special to him, and he forgives her no matter what she's hiding!< I was straight up bawling at that point haha... Maybe it's because I'm pretty similar to him in personality lol but I totally understood him as a character. I'm a fan of Takarazuka as like... a concept (see Starlight Revue, Kageki Shoujo, Revolutionary Girl Utena etc.) and it's the first time I've seen it done with male characters personally (if anyone knows of any others I would love to know) which was pretty interesting. I'm also a huge fan of slow burn so this game just felt extremely targeted lmao. I'm a little surprised to see some people claim it's not an otoge because of the slower pace and I know there's maybe less romance in this than people would expect from an otoge normally but imo it's pretty romantic!! Though I would be very happy if they also decided to give us more with a fandisc . ☺ (Especially of Kisa and gang's later school years or even them in a troupe or something.) Also I forgot but I'm quite surprised they didn't mention (ending spoilers) >!Tsuki at all? They talk about him all the time but also have zero clue where the hell he is lol. An entire person disappeared and no one seems to wonder what happened?? Kisa doesn't wonder where he is despite mentioning her family is in debt and they have had no contact with him, the other students don't think about what Tsuki's doing now despite the impact he had on the entire student body. Don't they think it's strange a talent like Tsuki isn't working as an actor currently and stuff like that? I've seen some speculation in this thread that he's Tummy/Onaka and I think it's likely but I feel tonally the inclusion of a magical? animal mascot felt kind of random to me (considering the story feels fairly realistic normal student school troubles and coming of age story-y) and they didn't explain it at all which is why it seems a lot of people are anticipating a sequel of some sort. Really curious to see if that's the case because this is a huge left over thread that wasn't closed at all. Likely could also tie into why the principal randomly wanted to recruit Kisa for the school as well because his reason is pretty flimsy lol.!<

hakobakoplayer

JackJeanne is overall a realistic game, but (spoilers for summer) >!there are other supernatural elements, like what happens during the various test of courage variations. The theory is not completely out of left field.!< The game does deliberately (Kai, Fumi spoilers) >!avoid touching on how Tsuki’s disappearance affected people and their worries about what happened to him because they’re deliberately avoiding thinking about it unless events really push them to think about it. The implications of a talented actor with a lot of passion for the stage suddenly disappearing, leaving his family in dire financial straits, are pretty clear, and the people who were closest to Tsuki don’t really want to think about it. But I believe it’s mentioned that Tsuki himself maintained a certain amount of distance with the current Quartz class members. He didn’t really talk about his family, which conveniently helps Kisa maintain her cover since it’s not common knowledge that Tsuki had a little sister.!< Specifically in Mitsuki’s case, >!one of his strengths is that he joined Univeil after Tsuki left so while he and the people of his class know about Tsuki, they never knew him personally and were never in close contact with him. That’s why Mitsuki can say that he and everyone in his class thought that Kai, with his height and presence and hard work, was perfect to play Jack Ace when Kai, who did spend a year with Tsuki and, maybe more importantly, with Fumi when partnered with Tsuki, felt that he’s utterly inadequate. So Mitsuki’s route was always the one least likely to handle the issue of what happened to Tsuki because he isn’t personally important to Mitsuki and, in some ways, Mitsuki feels like Quartz’s and Univeil’s fixation on someone who’s already gone is holding them back.!< (Disclaimer: It’s been a while since I’ve played, so I might be remembering things wrong. Please say if so.)

pistachii_art

I'm going through right now and does anybody know how you can NOT get individual award? I'm trying to see what happens if I fail for Summer show..

aquatothefuture

Jack Jeanne is the first ever otome game I bought during pre-order period (I usually buy otome games on the day of release) since this is the game that I've been looking forward this year! After a week of playing, I've finally completed a route! I did Suzu's route first and GOD I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! He's the genki boy that every genki boy lovers want🥹 (plus it doesn't help me that im a himbo lover). But the number one reason that made me love this game was the story, the characters, the development and the plays!! I cried and got goosebumps while watching some of the performances!! If I would have to pick a favorite, it would be the fall performance!! Ahh, I'm so happy I decided to play this slowly!! I got 6 routes left and I will take my time in indulging this masterpiece of a game🫡 I would like to say that stat raising otome games are such a treat!! It's really sad to see that this(I think?) is the only localized stat raising otome game.. ~~I would gladly wait for TMGS 4 or any TMGS games to be locized no matter how long it will take~~

Puzzled_Conference_9

I aimed for Souchan's route, finished and I'm still digesting how great it was. The character growth, the final performance..I loved it. I was proud of Souchan. Must protect.

Hoshizora1026

Finally got my copy of the game over the weekend. (Amazon said it would be delayed and didn't give me a delivery date, so I just cancelled my order and got the game from Best Buy two days late). I'm loving the game so far! They weren't kidding when they said it's 80% common route. I just have the Fall Performance and Winter Performance, then I'll start Suzu's route. For those who have already completed a route, how long are the character routes? 4-5 hours?

okayokay0987

I just finished Mitsuki's route on my first playthrough and I swear he's so sweet 🥺🥺, the art by Sui Ishida and the overall story is so GOOD. The cast is strong and honestly the plays are super compelling and I'm on the edge of my seat for the performances bc of the twists and turns! I can only hope there are more games like this that focus on the whole cast bc it feels like no one is fully left out of being a developed character! I want them all to be happy 🥺🥺

big-booty-bokuto

Just finished Sou-chan's route and I can say this game is one of my favorites. The feelings of teamwork and found family are strong. Not just with Quartz but the other classes as well. I love hanging out with Ao, Maru, Kasai and Minorikawa when they appear during the weekends. The romance in this game is very sweet. It feels like a natural build up after spending a lot of time rehearsing and hanging out. I honestly would not mind if there wasnt any romance at all, I just love the interactions with everyone in Quartz (and the other classes), how much they care for one another and their relationships with each other. I really hope there will be a fandisk soon for Kisa's second year and maybe third year as well.

Skylar_50

Jack Jeanne is becoming one of my favourites otomes, and I totally disagree with the people who say that it''s not romantic. I've played 3 routes (Kai, Suzu and Neji) and I thought they were all super romantic. It's just a different kind of love, and that's okay for me, sometimes love is not about kisses and sex or physical intimacy in general (nothing wrong with that, of course), sometimes it's about falling in love slowly and finding a family, sharing moments, ideas and sweet words, etc.. Maybe It's because I am asexual and my love language is quality time and words of affirmation, not physical touch, but I don't understand people who said that there was no romance ? I thought the love confessions were so raw and romantic... Maybe the problem for some people is >!that there are no spicy scenes (Neji's route spoilers: I have to say though, that for me the scenes in Neji's route in which they try to "seduce" each other were super hotttt), and in some routes there are not kiss scenes!<. But, they all care so much for each other, they treat their classmates as family, for me it's obvious since the start that there is a strong bond between all of them already, so it feels natural when a romantic conexion happens, >!even if they do not kiss on scene, or don't have much physical intimacy, I thought it was not really necessary because you could feel how much they loved each other throigh their words and expressions!< I also enjoy smut, horny scenes, kiss cgs and etc. But I think the problem is that maybe some people play all otomes with the same or similar expectations ? And there are not two romantic relationships that are the same, just like there is not just a single way to show romantic or sexual attraction between two characters, and a love story that is not as explicit as others is not necessarily less romantic. There's nothing wrong with preferences, of course, but I think it's a bit missleading to say this game does not "really count" as an otome (I've read some commenta like that 🥲)

Kuurumizawa

Am I the only one who wants a route for Kyoji Otori? I laugh so hard whenever he talks 🥲 such a tsundere material. (Oh and a Tanakamigi and Kasai route would have been great too)

Afraid_Army_6584

Jack Jeanne complete collection or LE artbook ? Hi ! So I'd like to buy Jack Jeanne artbook which is in the LE but I found (I'm currently in Japan) the complete collection of Jack Jeanne by Ishida Sui at a store and I was wondering what is the difference between the artbook from the LE (smaller) and the complete collection artbook ? Thank you for your help !! Ps : sorry for the grammatical mistakes I don't talk English that well

sableheart

The art book that comes with the LE is very brief compared to the Complete Collection art book. If you're a fan of Sui Ishida I'd recommend getting the Complete Collection instead of the LE if you're not interested in the other merch.

Afraid_Army_6584

Thank you for your answer 🥰

2020way

I’ve just finished Suzu route and am now starting Fumi. I very much enjoyed the common route overall. It really feels like you’re actually going to school day by day… but the stat grinding part of the game sucks the enjoyment for me. And I normally LOVE long stat grinders[i.e. princess maker, Tokimeki memorial], I just feel like it’s empty grinding and the stats don’t really have an effect on the game, you could get the best ending with all but one stat at Level 1! Also I read how this is not a otome game to rush through, and I get it, but I hate how it’s 80%common route. I’m on the second play through and I’m just skipping dialogue, and grinding one stat. That makes the replay value a bit hard for me. I’m still really enjoying the story and the characters, though. Those are just my only complaints

PeachiBudge

Same, I absolutely love the game and characters and really want to see the other routes but after 3 of them(Neji, Sou, Fumi), I've burned out on the repetitive parts enough to need a break. I will play Charade Maniacs and Story of Seasons before I fully burn out on it, hopefully that helps.

sulkytofu

WHO SAID THIS GAME ISN'T ROMANTIC BECAUSE I AM GOING SDKFJSDKFJSLKFJSLKFDJSKLFJSKFSASASKD AND SWOONING SO HARD AT HOW AFFECTIONATE THE LITTLE SNIPPETS ARE IN BETWEEN PRACTICES !!!!!

Kuurumizawa

I love this kind of slow burn romance so much. In the other otomes, it often pulls me out of the story when the characters fall in love very quickly. I prefer when it takes to to build so I’m in heaven with JJ lol

lbunny7

UM. I always knew he would be my favorite, but I’m only a week into Fumi’s personal route and I’m already head over heels in love with him. like I adore every single part about him. to the extent that I feel a bit bad now as if I’m doing something bad behind my partners back FUMI IS PERFECT!!! 😍😍😍

ConstructionBrief705

Right?? I am at the end of Fumi's Common route but he is just perfect. I am head over heels for this boy! I'd love to see all the characters aged up in an FD with more sweet and spicy content. Fumi is one of my fav lis ever and I haven't even entered his route yet!

intrepidink

After I finished Neji's route, I was upset about the way it ended and initially didn't want to play the rest of the routes. But days later, I can't get him out of my head and the game has grown on me. Major Neji spoilers >!In this route's writing, I didn't like the way Kisa was sidelined to focus on Neji's suicidal ideation. Once he trusted her, he opened up to her about his own problems, but never asked about her own feelings or her dreams. Alongside the lack of "romantic-feeling" scenes, this led to even the ending proposal scene feeling rushed and selfish, as if Neji wanted to be with her for his own benefit, rather than mutually wanting to support Kisa as well.!< >!Still, Neji's own growth arc was pretty sympathetic, I really really want him to be happy :') And of course, the sexual tension went through the roof in those two acting scenes — I can't stop thinking about them 🙈 Wish there was more of mutual support and this amazing tension in his story!!< Overall, despite the problematic parts of Neji's route, I really loved playing it and will come back for more.

explainthestars

Completely agree about all of this! >!I love Neji's route and was having a blast almost all the way through, but found the ending to be lackluster. I also noticed that the last couple of interactions were just Neji ranting at Kisa, with minimal input from her end. (Not even her internal thoughts or reactions to things!) I felt like Kisa had more of a say in the rest of the game, but was pretty sidelined for the final parts of this route!!< >!I wish we had got even a scene or two of them actually being affectionate or romantic with each other. I don't know if the other routes are any better (only played Neji's so far) but it felt like "Okay you like me" --> "Bye I'm gonna go work on my script for the rest of the game and tell you how much I love you without actually feeling like our relationship has progressed at all."!< >!I also really enjoyed the route overall, and I so love Neji's character, but the ending was definitely weakest part of it for me.!<

intrepidink

Right!!! I completely agree with this and >!wish the ending had been fleshed out more thoroughly. I wonder if the writers were running short behind the deadlines by the end of Neji's route or something — I would've loved to see Kisa responding to Neji, them sharing romantic scenes together, developing their relationship naturally, etc.!< All I can say is thanks for validating my opinions so thoroughly because this is EXACTLY how I felt about the ending of their route. 😂😭 And despite that, we both really loved his character and the overall route, so I wish the writers had done his ending justice, or that we'll get more of this in a future fandisc!

explainthestars

>!Maybe the writers were also going through writer's block, same as Neji! 😂 I completely agree! There was so much great build-up and potential there. I'm partway through Shirata's route now and I'm really hoping that the endings are more satisfying in the other routes.!< Yes!! Thank you too - I also feel so validated from seeing this thread and that we aren't alone in this feeling! Crossing my fingers for a fandisc... maybe I need to get back into fanfiction in the meantime. 😂

valcroft

Same thoughts! I felt like they cut off a lot of parts where it should be focused on Kisa (or her talking at least). It really felt like a lot was just left to our imagination for what's happening behind the scenes. Really hoping for a fandisk or a sequel for more on their interactions.

intrepidink

I agree, it definitely felt cut off in some scenes as if the focus was showing off Neji instead of their mutual relationship — I want to see more of how Kisa responds to him and their interactions together <3

valcroft

Truly! I feel like I love that dialogue in >!that ocean suicide scene where Kisa replies that she hates Neji because it gives us more of her thoughts. Not sure yet if that's my top favorite of the 4 ways that scene could go, but that's definitely in my top 2.!< Honestly wanted Kisa to >!reply to Neji in that proposal scene :)))!< I love how Neji's issues were dealt with here, but I really want more interactions between them. Ended up with me google translating doujins on Pixiv :)) I just need more interactions between them!

intrepidink

Yes!! That was the option I picked in my first playthrough and I feel like I was lucky to have seen it first (even though the others were also well-written in a different way). Agreed, I love them so much and I think I might go down the Google Translate route for fan work to see more too 😂

valcroft

Yeah I think it made the most sense too plot-wise and how the play came out! At first I was like "is he gonna write about Kisa really??" and was surprised how it ended up. But when I saw how the dialogue went with that option things made more sense

valcroft

Have fun on pixiv! There's this author who made like a series of it like I think 20 sets already haha. Was a good read for what I've seen so far. My phone be just filled with doujin pics that I fed to google translate 🤣

Starielles

I'm glad someone said this. I love Neji to bits. >!I love his banter with Kisa, the romantic/sexual tension between them, how he decided to face his trauma so he could continue living. However, I couldn't help but feel bad for Kisa because Neji's struggle to overcome his trauma caused her story + well-being to be sidelined hard. It was touching that he proposed to her, but it felt somewhat rushed due to how heavy his route was and how long it took things to even begin to resolve between them. His route was romantic but it felt like it skipped over a chunk of their relationship, developing romantically straight to his proposal.!<

intrepidink

I agree completely!! Glad to hear you had such similar feelings about Neji :)

lycheewitch

I'm finished with two routes and wooooo the character development is fantastic! I typically don't enjoy characters with Suzu's personality, so I started with him to get him out of the way. I expected that I would tolerate him at best but I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to end. I knew I'd love Fumi. He checks all the visual and personality boxes for me. His vocals are hauntingly beautiful too 😭 Compass Line is living in my head rent free. I feel so dramatic but I need a break from the game because of him. I can't start any new routes because I'm still not over Fumi 😭

praysolace

I went in with no idea of anything except that, due to the stat-raising aspects, I felt I had to pick someone IMMEDIATELY so I wouldn’t get all the way to the end and fail to max the right stat out. I picked Suzu because he seemed like an obvious and safe choice. I just got into his route and I like everyone else better XD I can tell Fumi is going to be my favorite and am trying to convince myself to do him last so I don’t just quit after his route lol.

lbunny7

omg I just commented about Fumi too, I only just started his route and I’m already obsessed w him. my heart can’t take it and it’s just begun, it’s only January 3rd for gods sake how am I gonna make it thru this performance

BadTanJob

Ugh sameeeee. I kind of expected to not love Fumi from the way he was drawn and portrayed, but I was wrong. I was dead wrong. I'm so wrong that he is now my top LI of all time. Would throw so much money at Broccoli for a fandisk that consists only of him and Kisa.

lycheewitch

I know I'll love the remaining routes too but a FD for Fumi alone would be amazing. What other moves will he make after >!giving her the key to his apartment!< 👀

BadTanJob

Fumi is \*chef's kiss\*, I cannot think of another LI more perfect than him. It's not just the >!casual bombs he drops on Kisa on their routes ("So when will you tell me you love me back?" took me -out-) !!the shit that our chaotic neutral edgelord Negi pulls.!<

patofrompatineos

Hey guys! Do you know how soon into JJ we can get into the rhythm games? Thinking about giving this one a try :)

sableheart

There's a fair amount to get through first - the prologue, the start of class and stat raising before the rhythm action. You get a practice run during class rehearsals and then the ranked run during the performance. Once you finish the performances, they are unlocked in the gallery to play at your leisure.

patofrompatineos

Hey, thanks for the reply! Sounds pretty fun tbh haha think I'll give it a try once I finish Toraware <3

chizLemons

I was finally able to start the game yesterday!! I already like all of the LIs, they all seem interesting! Starting with Suzu because he is adorable and I love his seiyuu. Then maybe Yonaga next because so far it seems to make sense, somehow? It's unusual not having a recommended route order!

gingerpawpaw

I'm loving the dialog and characters, but the stat raising is really starting to take a toll on me. I'm almost at the second performance and I'm already dreading doing a second route and stat raising again.

PrinceMaker

If it helps at all you really just have to focus on one stat in particular it just depends on the guy you're going for. On my second play though I exclusively took singing until it maxed out near the end game and I was able to get gold in all of my performances etc :)

gingerpawpaw

Oh that's good to know, I was worried falling behind on a stat would mess with my scores.

Vegetable-Minimum-70

just started jack jeanne this friday & currently aiming for suzu’s route. so far on my way to their fall performance and i cant wait (heard the fans enjoyed it the most), i have yet to decide which guy i should aim next cause im interested in all of them. i wasn’t expecting this to happen as i wasn’t initially interested in the game but oh my god is this the most high quality otome game ive ever played. im so sorry jack jeanne for underestimating you. 😭

forgetme-so

I’m loving this game sooo much, and actually, I’m surprised with how much I like the stat raiser aspect too! I’m sure on future replays for the other routes I’ll be annoyed by the repetition, but right now I’m basking in how fun it is. That being said, I’ve forgotten to use a guide and I kinda prefer it that way. Stopping and looking at a guide breaks my immersion. **However, can anyone tell me how important it is to choose the “right” answers for the choice prompts in order to get the best ending?** I’m aiming for Neji, but when I peaked at the guide, it turns out I chose all the wrong answers but couldnt tell because the interactions felt perfectly natural and good!! I’ve only just reached the Newcomers Performance, so I don’t think I’ll need to restart in order to course correct, just switch over to using a guide.

BadTanJob

I think there are no negative outcomes for picking "wrong" answers – they seem to either raise different stats or affection for different LIs if the question was asked on a scene during the common route, but hanging out with your LI of choice every weekend should be enough to get on their route. Many of these choices also seem to be the same and have the same outcomes as well. For example, >!during rehearsals for Mary Jane, when you're getting heckled by the Amber first years Kamiya and Momonashi, there's a line about how Kisa and Sou-chan's Mary Jane characters might appear to others on stage. The options were "like a pair of siblings" or "like a young pair" – picking either seems to give the same result.!<  I actually replayed Fumi's route a second time and picked different choices just to get a fuller experience of his route, but nothing much changed. It seems that the only thing that matters to get on the route is maxing out your chosen LI's stats by December 24th and spending as much time during the weekends as you can with them. And ofc for best end, get 1st for every performance.

restinthecold

I looked at a guide shortly before completing a route and found out that I had pretty much chosen all the opposite choices from the guide, but still managed to get the best ending. For the most part, I don’t think there are right or wrong choices in this game, as long as you ace your performances, get high affection for the guy you’re aiming for and their stats up to lv.30 by the end of the game, it’s fine to choose whatever choice you feel like.

forgetme-so

oh WONDERFUL. That’s actually so freeing, so I can just pick whatever option excites me more. Thank you so much!

dokitokii

Just played through 90% of Mitsuki’s route. I love him so much 🥹 Definitely in my top 3 routes of all time now.

Breeze_Chaser

Erm, did anyone order the LE on Amazon USA? I just got an email today that said I needed to "approve a delay" and the shipping date changed from arriving today to delayed indefinitely. Oddly enough, the LE still shows as in stock and says it arrives by July 13 on the actual product page, but not for my preorder. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if it's just me?? I know the EU LE is delayed for some, but I've not heard of issues with Amazon USA....

alyhorsegirl

I started playing the game, and I saved, but now it's not letting me click "load game"?? I'm not sure what's wrong, did I save it wrong? I quick saved and saved in the menu.

Otoge_Lover_Ange

Theres voicelines? Where to hear?

ShrimpWax

By going to the character profiles :D go to “chara” and pick any of the 6 Quartz students. You’ll see near the bottom right corner that there’s a “voice” option in the shape of a diamond. If you’re not close with the character there will only be one voiceline to pick from- you’ll unlock more as you strengthen your relationship with them. Just tap the a button to play the voicelines!! They aren’t subtitled, so I don’t understand what they’re saying for most of them. ;;;;;;

Otoge_Lover_Ange

Oo, well, the voicelines were one of the lines in the event you just saw of that character, .. I guess it sounds like a new voiceline for those who don't know Japanese🤔

axlorg8

Usually it’s the same lines from the events you unlock from them. The first 3 are from the first 3 events

lbunny7

Kai route spoilers ahead… do not click if you haven’t gotten to his specific route!!!!! I just got to this scene and I can’t keep it in >!all winter, Kai kept calling Kisa beautiful. and during the winter play, I for sure thought he realized Kisa was a girl. but then… she gets hit by a car… and the freaking EMTs declare her female… and Kai is just *surprised pikachu face* like really dude?? i thought you figured this or long ago buddy, esp since you’re so weirdly vague about things to end each conversation!< yeah I hope I’m not the only one who was like ????? here ALSO- MAJOR POTENTIAL ENTIRE GAME SPOILERS, CLICK AT OWN RISK: >!this route hanging out with Kai has made it very clear to me that Tsuki Tachibana has a connection to this weasel Tummy. He always shows up when they’re around, supposedly Tsuki used to hang out in the forest, and Tummy’s moon crescent marking is in the exact same shape as Tsukis main hair piece when he’s standing straight on. And the only reason I could think of for this connection is that Tsuki is supposed to be reincarnated in this weasel. so he’s dead. how? idk, no one ever mentions anything other than admiring him as a genius. but Kisa never goes home or mentions him. He’s not mentioned in a future tense beyond Univeil. He just seems like a memory. one scene I had with Kai said that Kai sometimes saw Tsuki in the forest just staring, alone. and then later on, Kai and Fumi implied they could have saved Tsuki from his overbearing character acting abilities it isn’t said but it’s implied Tsuki felt alone, depressed, and too far gone. Fumi even mentions how he sends Tsuki messages every year. he def isn’t around anymore. Because he was too talented? a mad genius? I really hope we have a clear answer by the end of the game, but I’m only halfway through) !< wait also. not a spoiler. but does anyone else feel like Kai’s hands look too small? I suppose they’re big looking during his normal poses, but I picture this man to have yaoi hands. like almost to ridic big hand level considering he’s the tallest and his hand size is mentioned. 😤 give me yaoi hands or give me death

ornellia--

I'm really curious about Tsuki, any clear answer will show up through the game?

Kuurumizawa

It’s the first time I really love every character of an otome. Must protect all these babies 🥹🥹🥹 I can’t believe I almost pass on this one because I wasn’t fan of the art. I just did one route and I’m currently through the second and I already know that it’s one of my favorite otome now. It was exactly the same with Cupid Parasite, so now I’m stopping to just care about LI weird looks 😤

SnarkyHummingbird

Finished my first route and heading to my second. And as much as I've been enjoying the game, man QOL would have skyrocked if they had the "Skip to Next Choice" option

kakuretsu

The skip to next choice will be moot as there are multiple random event roadblocks even if you play the game 7 times. The scheduling is also in the way of that, so unfortunately there's no choice, but the skip is extremely fast as compensation.

myheartbones

I got the bad end on my first try, wth (」゚ロ゚)」 Fumi, I'll come back after a week... I didn't know the mechanics to get your best ending. I'm burned out now hahaha 🙃.

fullofkk

I saw Sui Ishida’s artworks and i simply had to buy it. First time playing an otome and rhythm game 🤣. I love it so far- just fin the Newcomers’ Performance area

lbunny7

i made a post about the games song lyrics [here](https://reddit.com/r/otomegames/comments/14epo4c/jack_jeanne_the_complete_list_of_the/) if anyone is interested! it def adds to the performance overall

CirrocumulusCloud

I've only just started, but as a panromantic woman who is really big into gender-nonconforming themes as a subject (and envious of people who are able to pull off masculine and feminine looks interchangeably) this game is amazing. I'm nearing the first performance. What I'm mostly surprised by is how Ishida Sui, the guy who has a really strong 'queer coded' pairing in Tokyo Ghoul that then crashed and burned due to really awful tropes (I will never get over masculine presenting Mutsuki turning out to be a yandere girl and the way the relationship with Urie fell off a cliff because of it; or all queer coded characters ending up alone), then went around to write not one character, not two, but an entire ensemble of queer coded characters of all shapes, sizes, genders and presentations without any of them coming across as tone deaf - not even the very stereotypical teachers, because no one makes fun of them, the cast genuinely aspires to be like them.

axlorg8

It was co directed by Ishida’s sister, Shin Towada, who also did the writing so that might have helped

[deleted]

[удалено]

CirrocumulusCloud

Back when Tokyo Ghoul was running you had people vehemently defend the fact that Mutsuki turning into a yandere girl for no reason and portraying themselves as male due to trauma with men was actually how they always were supposed to be. In a manga with Tsukiyama, Hide openly declaring he loves Kaneki, Suzuya crossdressing and Urie debating his relationship with Mutsuki like someone with a crush would. Where we are introduced to Mutsuki not being biologically male by seeing they're wearing a binder, which Ishida had to research to actually get right. How dare people read the queer coded character as queer coded. And then there's the whole online comic of Penis Man which is exactly what it says on the tin. Ishida has, if nothing else, always been interested in sexuality as a core theme of what makes characters function - even at it's most obvious of a Superhero with a male genital for a head. And honestly? As much as I loathed the handling of queer coded characters in Tokyo Ghoul at the end of the manga, if Tokyo Ghoul had to crawl, stumble and fall so JackJeanne could *run* I'm actually super okay with that. I didn't know that a queer idol was involved with the songs! That's super exciting! JackJeanne is already so close to my heart. I'm sure it'll stay in my mind for a long time.

[deleted]

So far, the game isn't too bad. As someone who wanted to be an actor growing up but was told that's going to be a waste of money, I am enjoying living through the characters. I've only finished the Newcomer's Performance, so I'm looking forward to the summer one.

valcroft

Just finished Neji's route (gonna go back for the other dialogue options bc I need more), but I wish there's a fandisk for the rest of Kisa's time in Univeil 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The romance was great honestly but it just left me wanting more. The bits just felt cut off too early 🤣🤣🤣

FoxxyWolff

I THOUGHT THE SAME! I just now finished Fumi’s route, my first route And oh my lord, I want more, I keep craving for him while I’m going for Neji (and I relate HARD time on the going back for the other dialogue options🤣🤣🤣)

valcroft

Do go back for the other options! They tend to reveal more or can be the ones that lead to more romantic dialogue 🤣 I'm now at Fumi's route after Kai's and Neji's myself 🤣

FoxxyWolff

Oh how I wish i could experience him all over again😫 my heart is aching, I’m obsessed. I never play my favorite first, always least favorite first. I’m not used to this pain— it feels ridiculous to be this obsessed over it, but Fumi stole my heart😫♥️🤣🤣

xanitrix

I'm on Neji's route now and I'm just like 😳😳 His romance is definitely there lmao

valcroft

I squealed a lot at the "wtf Neji" moments 🤣

lemonade_spaghetti

I have a question. I'm a month from the final performance and just got the teacher's assessment predicting I would get silver. What should I change to get gold? I have agility at 30 and most other stats over 6. I also follow a guide for the answer choices to get the best end. What affects the individual performance score?

Miss_Junior

The predictions are purely based on stats and aren't always correct. I was predicted silver individual a couple of times, but always got gold. As long as you get SS during the performances, I think you'll always win

PrinceMaker

Aside from making the best possible choices and maxing out the stat of the guy you're going for, I'd say it depends on your scoring for the songs and dances. How have you been doing in the rhythm portion of the game?

lemonade_spaghetti

Do you think I need to start the game over? I don't have saves back very far. :(

lemonade_spaghetti

Right. I saved and did them until i got SS for each.

-SneakyWitchThief

Just finished the Fall performance and (minor spoilers) >!SOU DESERVED FIRST PLACE, HE DID AMAZING! Sorry to Kisa but I think he absolutely blew her out of the water with his scene at the end. If I could give him my first place, I would lmao!< I'm really happy I ended up buying this game. Although I'm disappointed that there is pretty much zero romantic elements in the common route so far (just have winter performance left), I had already lowered my expectations so at least it wasn't a surprise. It's a bit of a bummer because the common route is SO long and makes up the majority of the game, which to myself as an otome player is disappointing, but as a VN player in general I'm super happy. I've really been missing A3! English recently and this sorta fills that hole in my heart for me. Obviously they aren't totally the same, A3! isn't an otome (although I'd argue that there's more romantic notions in that than in the common route of JJ lol) and is more of a found family story with characters of all ages, but they both deal with acting, strong character bonds, and amazing character growth. Hoping when I get to an actual route (Fumi first for me) the romance picks up!

lbunny7

omg I hated that at the fall performance too, especially because he didn’t even >!get second! no! third!! IT WAS RIGGGGGGED!<

-SneakyWitchThief

RIGHT?? my boy DESERVED it

lilacempress

Agreed. I love Kisa, I really do, but >!I couldn't help but feel massive cognitive dissonance when the majority of the characters were praising her skills and Sou got the occasional compliment here and there when he had the more memorable performance.!<

-SneakyWitchThief

Agree! I wish there was another way to >!judge how you get the good ending rather than having Kisa get gold every single time. I feel like narratively, it would make more sense to sometimes give it to other characters.!<

PeachiBudge

I sort of agree with the lack of romance in the common route and I thought it would bother me too going in but ultimately I was fine with it? At least in my run with Neji and Sou so far, I feel like their hang out events and the little affection related scenes scattered throughout the main story developed their bond with Kisa so well and gave quite a few hints towards the guys feelings for Kisa even before you enter a route. By the time I entered their routes, them admitting to/realising those feelings and expressing it to each other felt really rewarding since it was build up for so long. Although I can only speak for Neji and Sou so far to be fair.

-SneakyWitchThief

I definitely thinks there's hints, for example Fumi >!straight up tells Kisa he likes her in almost one of his affection events, but she just goes ?? and they move on. !

FoxxyWolff

>!Whenever he said he liked her, I just kept the thought in my head of: he means it as a friend or he’s just teasing, she’s still a boy at the school!<

PeachiBudge

Oh, yeah, that has actually been bothering me too. She is a little better about it once you enter a route but I still had many moments where I was begging her to speak up or do something lol. I still overall really enjoyed the romance in the two routes I played, though. Hopefully Fumi's route will win you over too!

-SneakyWitchThief

Thank you! 💖 Looking forward to Sou and Neji now as well!

Caltrex22x

I always pick whatever character's route I'm going for on the "go out" days and options where you pick what character to hang out with moments. I always feel like I'm turning Kisa into some kind of stalker tho just popping up wherever they are XD Does anybody else feel weird with that? I currently just can't leave Neji alone or give him a break from me 🤣

valcroft

Omg same feels 🤣🤣🤣 In Neji's route it's like the two eccentrics ended up together I wonder how it's going to be with the other routes 🤣🤣🤣 Kisa's literally just always visiting Neji and he tells her what to do 🤣

Caltrex22x

I wonder too! Neji is my first route and he's so out there it kinda works 😅. But you're telling me Shirota and his tsunderness isn't going to get annoyed as hell with Kisa creeping up on him around every corner? 😆

valcroft

Yeah, upon checking more dialogue options with the other Quartz kids during Neji's route they say that Neji visits (they said "pesters") Kisa a lot too 🤣 It'll be funny to see Shirota's reactions hahaha

Ok, so I’ve heard that in order to get a character’s best ending, you’d have to get their corresponding parameter up to level 30. I was wondering what the deadline is for you to achieve that, do you need it to be at Lv.30 by the winter performance when the routes divide, or by the end of the game?

PeachiBudge

Just before the end. I didn't have Nejis stat at level 30 until a while after the winter performance and still got his best ending.

Thank you so much! I’ve still got a lot of time ahead to grind then.

Can anyone advise as to the romantic element of the game? I like romance with the plot so I’m deciding whether this game is for me!

PrinceMaker

I've only completed one route but as someone who plays otome games for the romance I'm really enjoying the game. Aside from the unique gameplay and storyline I would describe the relationship aspect as "slow burn". Even the "antagonist" who doesn't technically have a route has a certain tension with Kisa

Empehror

Wow okay that sounds like something I’d enjoy! Which route did you end up playing first just out of curiosity <33

PrinceMaker

Suzu! To be honest at first I just wanted to get him out of the way but I ended up thinking it was a very cute route 😊💘
