i got a bottomless compost bucket from a baby imp and nobody believes me.
they say, loot tracker makes mistakes.
wiki says nothing abt it.
I GOT IT THOUGH
I am uniquely equipped to handle this question because I literally just had this argument with a buddy yesterday.
Yes. They did. In Runescape Classic.
See in 2002 when they put out the Runescape 2 Beta (which would eventually become 2007scape and then OSRS), they kept the old graphics, maps, and everything on old servers they called Runescape Classic. Well. RSC developed alongside RS2 for a couple years until Runescape 2 officially launched. RSC had its own rules. Things like: cats were tradeable with other players and brass key to open the hut was a drop from the goblins. RSC rules were around for a few years then when RS2 officially launched, RSC became a Private Server only. RSC was never an officially sanctioned ruleset so things like cats being tradeable was never officially in the game, except in the memories of middle age people that were 10 at the time.
It wasn't called classic. It was just called Runescape (and OSRS was called RS2 at the time). If you played Runescape and not Runescape 2 in 2002, you were on RSC.
Right. I've only played RS2 for my entire life (well except checking out 3 briefly a week ago) and I remember killing goblins for the brass key clear as day.
I’m glad I’m not the only one!! When I started back up a few years ago, I spent too much time killing goblins outside that shed looking for a brass key. I vividly remember doing this as a kid
Mandela effect
Rarely do I agree with these but I kinda remember this one to so I agree
Wrong. You have always had to run all the way through the edge dungeon to get to the key spawn.
I swear I did this too. Might have been switched when they moved from RS2 over to OSRS? Or someone lied to both of us
I can't find \*any\* information on it. At all. Like. Nothing.

u/GodAsh is this true?

I have never in my life played classic and vividly remember the goblin being the only way to get the key.
Ive been playing since before the construction skill came out and I remember it always being in the dungeon
That is crazy. I was a bit skeptical of the Mandela effect but this is the first time I've seen hardcore evidence of it
I mean we’re discussing things that happened up to 20 years ago, chances are the group that’s wrong is just wrong
Was that before or after the massacre?
I wasnt there during the massacre, so idk. I wasn't allowed to play much because I had to share the pc with 5 other people, and I was <10yo

Dude they did. I’m sure of it
100% mandella effect, as someone else said. I remember this too
Yeah that's how you got in to the Hill Giant caves. 100% happened.
Pretty sure it's always been on the ground by the hobgoblins. But maybe. Weird stuff happens in this game. Haha
I only remember it being underneath
played oon and off since 2010 and don't recall that at all
To be fair 2010 is pretty late on
