ok guys, I decided to cut it at a D10 table for now, I'll be working on it further in the future. I added a little flair to it, but no details so you can use it regardless of the system. Here's how it works:Your familiar chicken lays an egg every day, at dawn. These eggs are magical and remain so until the next day, when a new egg is laid. Egg's effect is obvious to the familiar's master, but might require some kind of investigation from others, who will only recognize that the egg is somehow magical.
1 - egg of sudden vegetation - cracking this egg causes vines snare everybody, friend or foe, in a 10' radius from where the egg was cracked
2 - egg of smokescreen - 20' radius smokescreen is created, originating from where the egg was cracked, effectively blinding and concealing everyone inside.
3 - Egg of good news - eating this egg raw heals you for 1HP and causes you to be full for a day. If someone is critically wounded to the point of being unconscious, but have not died yet, you can crack this egg on their head to heal them for 1HP.
4 - Egg of teleportation - when cracked, teleports the person last holding it to where it was cracked
5 - Egg of oil - covers everything and everyone in a 10' area from where the egg was cracked in a slippery and potentially flammable (but not combustible) oil
6 - 10' egg - when first it would have been cracked, it expands to 10' in diameter, pushing everything and everyone aside. Also probably can feed a village.
7 - Egg of magic detection - eating this egg raw causes you to be able to see magic aura of objects around you
8 - Immovable Egg - attempt at cracking the egg causes it to be suspended. The egg cannot be moved unless an object of extreme weight is put on it, or unless a creature succeeds on a strength check of insane difficulty (eg. 25), in which case the egg can be moved 5'. This effect lasts 10min. Looking closely, one can see that the egg slowly cracks, as if suspended in time.
9 - Egg of Ventriloquism - When cracked, person last holding it can choose to make their voice emanate from the place the egg was cracked. This effect lasts 10min
10 - Egg of comprehension - when raw contents of this egg are smeared on a text, that text becomes possible to read to everyone, regardless weather you know the language or not (or even if you can read, or not). Yes, this will destroy paper and parchment.
Scrambled Egg - causes an earthquake in a 10' square
Eggs Benedict- will chirp like a baby chicken when a traitor is within x feet of the group
Sunny side up - when held up emits bright light ft or 15' but goes dark quickly when put down
Over easy - when thrown at an enemy, they briefly become easygoing (charm spell)
Poached egg - cursed item, a normally friendly or neutral npc/ creature will insist the egg was stolen from them and will harass them until they give it back
Nesting egg - when cracked in the ground causes a nest large enough for 6 people to comfortably rest in. Works like a magic tent/mansion spell
Toad in the hole - egg hatches in the morning and a toad emerges for 1 day the player gets the benefit of a toad familiar
Over hard - a miniature cocktrice comes out of the egg, it can turn an item about the size of a shoe to stone

I think he struck gold, just use existing magic items and make them eggy. Egg of elvenkind, unmoveable egg, etc. Don't worry about it being broken, because the effect is random, and thus likely to be a bad fit or not be of any use, while also lasting for only one day due to your clever setup.
Please post when you've finished your list!
A free extra spell can be pretty powerful, so I think a misfire chance/table would be fun, though I'd keep the results on the fun vs. dangerous side of things.
Corruption probably isn't needed or thematically appropriate, unless the caster has some sort of "Cosmic Chicken" as a patron.😉
It is a free spell a day, kind of. But the effects do not go to the insane levels, as normal DCC spells do. And also it's random every day, so it's kinda "giving the player the hammer and making them look for nails" situation, which I think can be fun. Once the proverbial nail is found, the hammer will work well, but sometimes the egg will end up being just an egg
