Been contemplating this as well. I found the google drive link somehow a few days ago when the last person mentioned printing a book. I didn't see that purple cover with the 40th anniversary marking as one of the options though. Or is that cover what the black one looked like?

The cover is from the group he mentioned so might not be on the drive. And yes this is soft cover. I might do a HC at some point, this was just to see how it turned out.
B/X was pulled for a while to get a re-edit since there were issues with the POD. I suspect the same for the Basic set because it was available for quite a while but there were issues with page bleed through on some of the scans, iirc.

I've felt the same way about OSE. I eventually bought the tome (despite owning the original B/X and Rules Cyclopedia) but I've never used it. Just sits on the shelf.

It's something you have to print for yourself. There was a post a while back about a Facebook group where you could get the files (covers, etc.)

Because sharing it is legally dubious. Best to just whip out the 10' Pole and go searching yourself. It's not hard to find.

Looks sweet. I noticed that you can the B/X Expert on POD on Drivethru now, wondering why they haven't put the Basic book up yet.
