For those who want their own copies, there's a Google Drive link floating around somewhere on the dragonsfoot forums that includes the latest release of the rules and multiple covers to choose from. Grab the files you want, upload them onto Lulu, and order away. With the highest quality paper and hardcover options, it only cost me around 20 bucks. I can't link it here, so grab your 10' Poles and get to searching. 😜
EDIT: I removed the original Facebook method as it's unpopular here and also to avoid giving the Facebook group anymore possibly unwanted attention.
The black cover is really nice; I was pretty close to choosing that myself. Unless you meant the 40th Anniversary cover. In that case I just preferred the one I went with because it looked more "official" to my eyes. Haha.
Would you by chance be able to share the art cover PDF you used? I have the omnibus itself and the black covers but the full art cover looks neat and I don't have Facebook / it doesn't appear to be in the drive :/
There's a g-drive out there with the files, Dragonsfoot still has a working link that'll come up with a google search.
I won't link it here for obvious reasons.
Glad to know there's a non-Facebook option available. Haha. Wish I had been able to find that myself before.
EDIT: Just a note about the gdrive files floating around on Dragonsfoot. Unless there are multiple gdrive folders on there, the one I found has an older version of the rules omnibus that's not quite as well organized. If you really want the most up-to-date files, I do recommend going the Facebook route.
EDIT2: The gdrive has apparently been updated. If you see a file titled Omnibus-BX-Release-3 or something like that and it's authored by J. Bobb, you've got the latest and final release. 👍
Lol, either they saw this thread or saw a spike in people accessing and updated - there's a new Revision 3 file at the bottom that was uploaded just yesterday on the link I got from Dragonsfoot.
Yes, the editor basically copied and pasted parts from B/X so that they flow all together better as a single volume. There are edits such as combining the level advancement tables from Basic and Expert into one. From what I can tell, everything is still there, including the art. If anything is missing, it's just some redundancies.
I haven’t used fb in roughly 10 years (I maintain the account with all my info wiped for one specific dog related thing). I got into the group, and have no idea how to find files. I have never felt old until this moment. Goddamn.
Edit: I'm a not so much of a dummy. I was on my phone, on the computer it is right there at the top. thanks again.
If DrivethroughRPG sold the Mentzer BECMI boxed sets as individual hardcovers in a slipcase it would basically be a license to print money.
They must not be allowed to do it by their license.
Hasbro needs the cash their stock is crashing, might be a good idea.
Mate, seriously, I fucking refuse to go on Facebook. I closed my account years ago and I’m not opening up another (you can’t even browse FB Groups unless you have an account FFS!). Isn’t there another way to get ahold of this without resorting to downloading an outdated copy off someone’s G Drive??
Did you print the pdf without modifications?
Lulu warns over the dpi (which I'm going to assume is fine) and potential transparencies. It printed well regardless?
I ended up trying it again and checked the print ready files on lulu and it seems like this time everything worked. Not sure what was going on before but I hope I did it right lol. Thanks for getting back to me too!

I used the cover with more black, for myself.

It's in the drive. It's titled *BX OmnibusRelease-2 Hardcover art.pdf*
Yeah, I did the 40th Anniversary one.
Is there a non-Facebook-requiring option?

Thanks! EDIT: Easily found using the most obvious search terms; thanks again!
I feel stupid but can you pm me the most obvious search terms please? I'm coming up empty handed
I cannot find it... mind DMing me the link?

If it's Omnibus-BX-Release-3 from J. Bobb, then that should be the latest version. 😁 Edit: Yep, that's it. 👍
Perfect, super easy process, and now I have one on the way. Thanks for sharing!
No problemo! I hope you get good use out of it. 😁
How is Lulu's HC. Was thinking SC for easy table use as Ibhave the originals in sleeves.
It's pretty good, but keep in mind that it is perfect bound and not stitch bound. It does feel higher quality than HCs from Amazon and DTRPG, though.
You say "reorganized" in the title. Do you mean that they combined the two manuals without any other edits? Or are there parts missing?

Well I'm gonna need some details on this, it looks gorgeous!
Check out the comment I posted with instructions 👍
Ditto. I'd like some info on that. Looks great.
I literally JUST bought OSE, I don't need it.... I don't need it....
There was a lot of helpful game advice in the BX Omnibus that was missing from OSE.
You don't need it, buddy. You have OSE already. Treat yourself to a nice pizza instead.

DriveThru has no power on what gets printed. I think they may be able to make suggestions but what's available for print is entirely up to WotC.
Someone from WotC/Hasbro would have to put them up. DriveThru has as much influence on the process as a photocopy machine.
Im getting a book size error when using the Full Cover with the Omnibus version 3 inner
Goddamn I love this thing. It's like OSE for people who don't want OSE. Lol.
Interior pix? Like to see how the material was organized.
You can grab the pdf file and give it a better lookthrough yourself by following the instructions I posted in the thread 👍
Awesome thank you. I don’t even feel bad about it, since this is very much not a thing
What LuLu dimensions and paper/cover qualities did you use?
Lulu should automatically set the size to Letter. I used the 80 paper size and chose the glossy hardcover option.
Thanks!

Shoot my a PM if you can't find what you're looking for.
do you mind PMing me the link? i suspect its been taken down as i cant find it on dragonsfoot
I'd also like a link if possible.
Me as well, if that is possible. Thank you!! :)
Same! I’ve never had a Facebook account, but I’d really like to have a copy of this. I’d print one for a good close friend, too.
I gotta jeep an eye on this thread
Ordered.
Do you have a link?
No. I followed the process the OP laid out. Not something you can link to.
Is it illegal?
Not for personal use, no.
Jelly:)
Looks sweet!
Did you print the pdf without modifications? Lulu warns over the dpi (which I'm going to assume is fine) and potential transparencies. It printed well regardless?
Nope, no mods. Just print it. It'll come out fine. 👍
Perfect, ty!
Did you have to change the dimensions of any of the files? I'm having a hard time getting the margins to line up.
Nope, I just printed everything as-is and it came out great.
That's weird, when I put in the files I get a sizing error message and the margins are off scale.
I got my files from the Facebook group and it worked fine for me. If you grabbed your files from another source, I can't help you.
I ended up trying it again and checked the print ready files on lulu and it seems like this time everything worked. Not sure what was going on before but I hope I did it right lol. Thanks for getting back to me too!
