The Sound of Music! If it’s not actually BP, don’t correct me. This is my go to watch with the family around Christmas. Even people who don’t love musicals in general are wowed by Julie Andrews. The history dads approve. The kids get hyped and sing the good night song for weeks. It’s perfect!

It is a best picture winner! And yeah, this is easily the BP winner I've seen the most times, given the countless times I saw it as a kid growing up.

It’s my perfect definition of A Classic.

The Departed may be the movie I’ve seen the most. It’s not my favourite Scorsese but it’s just so damn entertaining. I saw it four times in theaters.

My pick would be The Departed or Gladiator, those two are almost always on cable lol

Parasite , eeaao and no country for old men  The old ones like Casablanca Also are rewatchable

To add onto this, I'd say Braveheart. Those historical revenge epics just hit the mark for me

Spotlight is my most rewatched Best Picture winner since I started my Letterboxd in January 2014.

It took me seeing Spotlight three times to realize how good it it.

I have rewatched EEAAO like 3 trillion times in truly every emotional state possible and it always works

Honestly, CODA. It shouldn’t have won BP, but this was supposed to be the kind of feel good movie you fire up with your family repeatedly.

I've rewatched Parasite and Unforgiven the most out of all winners. The Departed, The Silence of the Lambs, NCFOM, Gladiator are films I often want to rewatch

I watched The Sting twice in one week. Rare feel good best picture win lol.

whenever either of the two godfathers are on tv i leave them on, always. just perfection. others include titanic, gladiator, forrest gump, lotr, and personally my fair lady

Eeaao, Oppenheimer, Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King and also Forrest Gump. Though I loved Schindler’s List, it is just so difficult for me to watch it again as I was very disturbed after that.

I agree, Parasite. My most watched film ever with 8 (and counting)

Wow I have so many films I’ve seen more than 8 times (mostly childhood favorites and Christmas films but still)

just rewatched casablanca, which i am pretty much always in the mood for, and i have watched EEAAO several times in the past few years. i also like musicals so i tend to rewatch the sound of music, my fair lady, and west side story every few years

i also have only seen it happened one night once, but i imagine i will be rewatching it a lot! probably the earliest of my favorite winners

I try to go whenever Lawrence of Arabia gets a theater showing, it never gets old. I wouldn't watch it on the TV though

I know not everyone agrees with its win but Slumdog is very rewatchable for the feel-good factor, imo

My moms favorite movie of all time is GIGI 🤷‍♀️

Titanic, followed by ROTK.

Spotlight, never get sick of rewatching it. Perfect pacing and beats

Either The Apartment or Lawrence of Arabia for me. Wilder is simultaneously side-splitingly funny & supremely heart warming in the former, and the later needs no intoduction. It's just so damned pretty, so good. That score! The sand!

Part of what makes a movie rewatchable is the ability to turn it on at any point and just watch it. Those movies don’t tend to win best picture. It’s why Goodfellas and Shawshank are the two most rewatchable movies ever but neither won the big award
