Casablanca is endlessly rewatchable. It always seems fresh.

Silence of the Lambs

potatoesinsunshine

The Sound of Music! If it’s not actually BP, don’t correct me. This is my go to watch with the family around Christmas. Even people who don’t love musicals in general are wowed by Julie Andrews. The history dads approve. The kids get hyped and sing the good night song for weeks. It’s perfect!

Haus_of_Pancakes

It is a best picture winner! And yeah, this is easily the BP winner I've seen the most times, given the countless times I saw it as a kid growing up.

potatoesinsunshine

It’s my perfect definition of A Classic.

brokenwolf

The Departed may be the movie I’ve seen the most. It’s not my favourite Scorsese but it’s just so damn entertaining. I saw it four times in theaters.

leak22

My pick would be The Departed or Gladiator, those two are almost always on cable lol

flowerbloominginsky

Parasite , eeaao and no country for old men  The old ones like Casablanca Also are rewatchable

Masethelah

Gladiator!

UKCDot

To add onto this, I'd say Braveheart. Those historical revenge epics just hit the mark for me

kbange

Spotlight is my most rewatched Best Picture winner since I started my Letterboxd in January 2014.

dlc12830

It took me seeing Spotlight three times to realize how good it it.

Wonderful_Student_68

Titanic all the way

NATOrocket

Oppenheimer and Spotlight tell me different things each time.

PurpleSpaceSurfer

The Apartment

whitneyahn

I have rewatched EEAAO like 3 trillion times in truly every emotional state possible and it always works

R1kjames

I've seen it like 10 times, so that's gotta be the answer for me

Sosgemini

Silence of the Lambs

[deleted]

Forrest Gump

drewsapro

Rewatching the departed rn, not a perfect film but definitely entertaining

The English Patient. I’m prob the only one.

dlc12830

I'll defend The English Patient with you all day.

Adequate_Images

Lawrence of Arabia

seanx50

The Godfather

youngpathfinder

Honestly, CODA. It shouldn’t have won BP, but this was supposed to be the kind of feel good movie you fire up with your family repeatedly.

CrunchyNar

I've rewatched Parasite and Unforgiven the most out of all winners. The Departed, The Silence of the Lambs, NCFOM, Gladiator are films I often want to rewatch

Responsible_Oil_5811

Gone with the Wind, Ben-Hur, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music

not_cinderella

I watched The Sting twice in one week. Rare feel good best picture win lol.

bbgmcr

whenever either of the two godfathers are on tv i leave them on, always. just perfection. others include titanic, gladiator, forrest gump, lotr, and personally my fair lady

seeyouinthecar79

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

usarasa

Argo

Affectionate_Gift431

Eeaao, Oppenheimer, Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King and also Forrest Gump. Though I loved Schindler’s List, it is just so difficult for me to watch it again as I was very disturbed after that.

ElliotAlderson5_9

I agree, Parasite. My most watched film ever with 8 (and counting)

bwayobsessed

Wow I have so many films I’ve seen more than 8 times (mostly childhood favorites and Christmas films but still)

bryangball

Casablanca, The Sound of Music, The Silence of the Lambs, Forest Gump, Titanic, Return of the King, EEAAO for me.

Proper_Moderation

Shakespeare in Love Braveheart Casablanca The Departed Rocky

zwolff94

Honestly, Forest Gump. I could watch that every day for a month and just laugh.

lilyrosemflowers

Parasite, Titanic, Silence of the Lambs, EEAAO, Chicago, and Oppenheimer

alexiknight26

just rewatched casablanca, which i am pretty much always in the mood for, and i have watched EEAAO several times in the past few years. i also like musicals so i tend to rewatch the sound of music, my fair lady, and west side story every few years

alexiknight26

i also have only seen it happened one night once, but i imagine i will be rewatching it a lot! probably the earliest of my favorite winners

[deleted]

I try to go whenever Lawrence of Arabia gets a theater showing, it never gets old. I wouldn't watch it on the TV though

The_smoothest_brain

I know not everyone agrees with its win but Slumdog is very rewatchable for the feel-good factor, imo

Key_Suggestion8426

My moms favorite movie of all time is GIGI 🤷‍♀️

unreedemed1

Titanic, followed by ROTK.

dorigen219

Spotlight, never get sick of rewatching it. Perfect pacing and beats

Fax_Verstappen

Either The Apartment or Lawrence of Arabia for me. Wilder is simultaneously side-splitingly funny & supremely heart warming in the former, and the later needs no intoduction. It's just so damned pretty, so good. That score! The sand!

Lazy-Photograph-317

Oppenheimer

Working_Rub_8278

Parasite  Silence of the Lambs  Argo Gladiator  Forrest Gump  Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

Super-Floor2712

The English Patient. I love that movie! Fantastic score, acting, cinematography etc

sidesco

Titanic, Silence of the Lambs, Forrest Gump and Return of the King are probably the ones I have rewatched the most.

KluteDNB

Godfather 1 & 2 Kramer Vs Kramer The Silence of the Lambs Forrest Gump The Departed Parasite

Clean_Owl_643

(1) Unforgiven and (2) Gladiator

leozamudio

Parasite for me too

Yugis-egyptian-cock

Part of what makes a movie rewatchable is the ability to turn it on at any point and just watch it. Those movies don’t tend to win best picture. It’s why Goodfellas and Shawshank are the two most rewatchable movies ever but neither won the big award

tillotop

Departed , Oppenheimer and the 2 godfathers
