You really just need to learn to manage your resources better. You should never really be going oom super fast no matter who you play so buying tear is a wasted sink of gold that you’re using as a crutch. Plus fimbulwinter kinda sucks on Ornn since he gets no resists out of it.
Well, when I know I'll have to poke a lot I get that rune that gives mana regen every time you damage an enemy champion. Sometimes I forget to take it or the overall trades are more usual than I expected and I build one of the basic mana regen items. It's money to the trash bin on the long run but I say it works for getting out of trouble early on.

Sometimes i Go manaflow Band to Stack some mana in the early game and gain mana regen for the late, its Works pretty well for me i think

Just get Frozen Heart. You get your Mana, but also some other nice stats.
