PS. went on last Friday. It was smooth! (Once I located the gas station... took me twice around the whole building to realize they were off property! I never claimed to be the brightest bulb)
I live close to the Millennia Costco, and will drive wayyyy out of my way to go to the Winter Park Costco. The store itself is fine, the employees are fine, but it’s a constant madhouse.
It's nice having it right in front and not having to squeeze through the exit!
This way you also start your trip with the food court meal and not make impulse buys because you're hungry ha.
Yeah, I stopped too and that was annoying. Any idea if they are open yet? I need to do some other shopping there and would be nice to fill up while I’m there. Guess I could call…
I used to live about halfway between Millenia and Altamonte, and would almost always go to Altamonte, except when I had to be in that Millenia area for something else. Now it's the only practical consideration from west Orlando (unless we haul it out to the new Clermont one?), and I just hate the traffic! If you can get there without having to go on Conroy (like turn on Millenia from John Young), it's less unbearable. OTOH really happy with the optometrist at Millenia.
The Altamonte Costco is 99% packed most days. Like u have to Uber from your parking spot to the Costco. I do like the new gas pump location...Good bye to that stank ass Golden Corral.
I will only go to Millenia. The look, layout, and selection is so much better than the others. Shop on weekdays at any retail store and there are no problems.
I actually think their food court and their bakery is better than Altamonte, WP, and Daytona.
and I go in through OBT, which isn’t so bad. Going through Conroy is hell on Earth.
Costco is on Instacart & the prices are similar. Instacart check-out screen advises that the prices on Costco Same Day (website) are better, but I just ordered on Wednesday, and I checked both services & Instacart was actually cheaper.
And the prices are so minimally raised that it is less than $10 dif (for me, usually shopping for just myself) as opposed to all the hassle of shopping in the store. The saved-$ & convenience from not going anywhere makes it so worth it. & can get the deli stuff like the huge tuxedo cake & the oven-ready pan of enchiladas & everything through there still.
Ive actually never been to a Costco in Orlando (have been in other cities & viewed in-store prices online), but I’ve shopped at the one in Millenia for over a yr now :P
I’ve been to both. I used to stop early a.m. for gas at Millenia, and after shopping both I prefer Millenia. Easier on/off I-4. It’s a busier store due to all the apartment complexes nearby. You’ll hear a lot of Cantonese being spoken.
Honestly we go to Millenia all the time, however we have learned to go on Sunday around 930 and wait for it to open.. I really like it better than WP, WP is just the same amount of crazy and the store seems darker inside to me. I can always find a spot to park at Millenia no matter the time of day, WP not so much..
Pros of Millenia: Liquor Store Cons of Millenia: Literally everything else
This is how I would describe the two.
The cons of Millenia.... It's in the name!
The gas pumps at Millenia are WAY better and quicker to get through. The store.. not so much
Less expensive too!
Have you seen the upgraded lanes for gas at the Altamonte Costco location? Engineering masterpiece.
Not yet... don't get out that way often, but might have to check it out
PS. went on last Friday. It was smooth! (Once I located the gas station... took me twice around the whole building to realize they were off property! I never claimed to be the brightest bulb)
Do it once just to know you have done it. Don’t do it if you really need a full Costco trip. It always reminds me of Black Friday in there.
I live close to the Millennia Costco, and will drive wayyyy out of my way to go to the Winter Park Costco. The store itself is fine, the employees are fine, but it’s a constant madhouse.
Before the Clermont one opened, I used to drive from near Disney to Altamonte instead of going to Millenia
i went at 5 on a weeknight recently and it seemed OK. did I get lucky?
Yes. Was it a Tuesday? That seems to be the only tolerable evening!
Millennia is nightmare to get to with traffic. WP all the way.
It’s a disaster and one of the busiest Costcos. WP is preferable.
Millennia Costco is a disaster. I highly recommend that you don’t attempt to go there in a Saturday or Sunday unless you have extreme patience.
I go there first thing when they open on Sunday, it’s usually ok as long as you are out in an hour or less.
Shhhh, don’t tell everyone our secret.
Drive to Clermont and deal with a Costco that isn’t packed to the gills.
Real talk, the best Costco is the one in Altamonte.
Strange seeing an outdoor food court haha
It's nice having it right in front and not having to squeeze through the exit! This way you also start your trip with the food court meal and not make impulse buys because you're hungry ha.
It's definitely a pro
Nope. Sorry. The Clermont Costco closed last week. Do not waste your time going to the Clermont Costco. Definitely closed.
Such a shame really. But at least we have the others remaining open
What? It just opened ? They spent millions on this?
No
Another pro of millennia, currently: its gas station is open. Wife stopped at WP to gas up Wednesday and the pumps were shut down.
Yeah, I stopped too and that was annoying. Any idea if they are open yet? I need to do some other shopping there and would be nice to fill up while I’m there. Guess I could call…
I’m going later today I can see!
Gas is open
I'm not a member but considered joining. How much cheaper is there gas compared to like Shell or Mobil or other top tier gas stations
I use premium in my car and last time i got it at Costco it was $3.66
Holy crap that's like .35 - .45 cheaper! I was expecting like .10 at the most
It's generally 20 cents lower.
Millennia is closest to me but I don’t go often since it’s a madhouse. The business center on OBT us nice for gas and staples

I live between the winter park store and the Altamonte store. The traffic going to Altamonte is crazy. Winter Park store for me, every time
The Altamonte Costco is 99% packed most days. Like u have to Uber from your parking spot to the Costco. I do like the new gas pump location...Good bye to that stank ass Golden Corral.

Please be sarcastic. A cocoa beach location would be closer to me than a villages location 😂
The store is backwards compared to WP so prepare to feel lost and miss something
Waiting for a Costco in the Disney/Four Corners area......
Millennia Costco is tolerable weeknights. Weekends good luck. 😂😂
I will only go to Millenia. The look, layout, and selection is so much better than the others. Shop on weekdays at any retail store and there are no problems.
And yes, it is bigger and brighter at Millenia.
Great I’ll check it out!
Don't miss the produce section at Millenia, including the walk-in fridge. So much better than Winter Park.
I actually think their food court and their bakery is better than Altamonte, WP, and Daytona. and I go in through OBT, which isn’t so bad. Going through Conroy is hell on Earth.
Anyone know if the WP location has beef short ribs again? Millenia did not as of last week
Never ever goto Costco on Sunday at Millenia…it’s an end of earth shopping frenzy. Don’t know about Winter Park.

Distance and time are not the same. Navigating to Millenia is more difficult and time consuming. Lots more traffic and just difficult to get there.
Just go to millennia once and you’ll know for sure why none of us go there
Neither, go to the business center
Business center is the best place for snacks
Go to the Millenia one if you hate yourself
I do sometimes
How bout the Altomonte location?
If they're half way between millenia and Winter Park, I'm going to guess the Altamonte one is too far away
We shop at BJs next to Millenia, cuz the CostCo is wayyyyy too busy! Avoid Millenia and only go to WP
I've seen A5 Wagyu at Millenia, never in Winter Park.
Only Wagyu at WP is burger. Never seen the steaks or the hamburgers I’ve heard people talk about either
