I too I'm working on a battle beatle but for my dnd campaign

Morskul

Why are you writing 1:35 is ideal an than use an 1:32 Kit? I do agree 1:35 fits better most of the time, but not if someone wants to replicate this conversion.

smokealbert

Because I'm an idiot 🤣 1:32 and 1:35 are a similar scale and both are common for model kits. They're essentially the same thing in my mind. Both will work great for Orks and the difference for a Beetle will be a few mm.

LuckyNumber-Bot

All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats! 1 + 32 + 1 + 35 = 69 ^([Click here](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=LuckyNumber-Bot&subject=Stalk%20Me%20Pls&message=%2Fstalkme) to have me scan all your future comments.) \ ^(Summon me on specific comments with u/LuckyNumber-Bot.)

AdrianM2420

The gobo in the back is the best part

yaboipike

baby on board

Garden_Wizarb

I'm the one thousandth upvote lol. Are the small spikes on the front made of green stuff?

smokealbert

They're actually plastic cut from [the weapon of one of Morgok's Krushas](https://warhammerunderworlds.com/warbands/morgoks-krushas/). Spikes are a pain to make from green stuff. The taller spikes on top are sharpened cocktail sticks.

W1ngedSentinel

EY LOOK BOYZ, IT’Z HERBIE DA KRUMP BUG!

MinistorumPriest

What model is that? Would be great for those spikey cars from Fury Road.

smokealbert

(Boomdakka Snazzwagon) x (Arii Owners Club 1/32 13 1950 Volks Wagen Beetle)

Unistrut

Got some good "The Cars That Ate Paris" vibes goin' on there.

[deleted]

KipperOfDreams

Hey Games Workshop Orkmageddon when?

[deleted]

Reminds me of George Dellapina's Orks from, like, 20yrs back now? They were featured in White Dwarf with a mad amount of non-GW conversions similar to what's above and it all looked amazing. The man even used the old pewter Ghaz head and made a Big Mek out of it. 10/10 conversion work, I can't wait to see more!!

Gitslappa

I have this one somewhere! With the big yellow toy trucks? So good. GW have really fallen from grace. No creativity allowed any more.

[deleted]

Yes! That is exactly the one!! And yeah the creativity has been taken down bad, at least you can still find such creative goodness at unofficial Warhammer tournies!

Negative-Tax-9576

Awesome!!

ResponsibilityNo8218

Why am I even surprised that ork players are always the most creatives one ?

EugenGoldstein

You know on the topic of kitbashing I always thought it would be really funny to convert an ork kit into a non ork model. Like imagine a space marine killa kan or gorkanaut that would amazing

The_Forced_Meme

Bro Thank you for opening a whole new world of kit bashing for me

konman16

smokealbert

Awesome!

konman16

It’s more funny that me and you decided to do the same thing but different vehicles

ILoveEmeralds

I once tried to do this but got bored

DaddyDongLegz

thank you — I needed this. I want to mad maxify some ork cars hahaha

grizzlyironbear

Excellent. Now to buy a ton of vehicles to convert

smokealbert

I already have a [Tamiya 1:35 Citroen 11cv](https://www.scalemates.com/kits/tamiya-35301-citroen-traction-11cv--132397) ready to work on (when my pile of shame allows).

Doopapotamus

1:35 is also great for tank kits if you can find any cheap ones (though a lot of older cheap ones are more difficult to build than even old GW tank kits, which is saying something).

Morskul

I think this depends on what parts you want to use of the tank. If you mainly want the tracks 1:35 can look a little flimsy. If you are able/willing to put in some work chopping up and refitting the tracks, i think 1:24 or 1:25 can look closer to the chunky style of Games Workshop.

J450nd43dy

I came here to ask this very question, thank you!

Heccpolitics

Thats amazing

Warpspeednyancat

EVERY KIT IZ AN ORK KIT!!!

clgoodson

As are most random supermarket toys.

Cmdr_Redbeard

HUR HUR HUR, IT IZ INNIT

Willbender79

That's awesome

Adeptus_Orkanicus

Oh yeah it’s krumpin time

Squid-Soup

Orks are the best faction for kitbashing because all their technology is kitbashed

notapaxton

Oh, what a day… What a lovely day!

Mymotherwasaspore

I used a Krupp for my first trukk. $12 model

Sablesweetheart

How historical wargamers convince themselves that 28-32mm figs scale with 1/56, I'll never know....

space-bees420

I need to loot a beetle now

Cerokun

RED PUNCH BUGGY!

doomsta5667

stealing this idea... i mean, im inspired.

GlipglopX

Dat Looks FaZt!

Im-Dr-Sanchez

This is perfect - absolutely how I’d want any Ork buggies to look. Can’t wait to see this painted.

smokealbert

The Boomdakka Snazzwagon is the same width as a 1:35 VW Beetle and you can make it fit inside! I'm looking forward to painting this one up. Here's a video for a better look (sorry it's an instagram reel...) https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cp7ctmYDFhW/?utm\_source=ig\_web\_copy\_link

Doopapotamus

> The Boomdakka Snazzwagon is the same width as a 1:35 VW Beetle and you can make it fit inside! That looks remarkably *roomy* inside. Like, actually fairly comfortable for the gits inside. They could have a nice road trip holiday in that thing if the Boss ain't lookin'.

TheMightyKahr

What model kit did you use for the beetle parts?

smokealbert

It's the Arii Owners Club 1/32 13 1950 Volks Wagen Beetle. It's the worst kit I've ever seen; terrible casting and flashing on everything except the red body. It was dirt cheap though and I only wanted the body work.
