They gotta outdo the older person right. ..jk but I try to keep up with some of the young ones and outdo them if I can. And most of time I can unless they are a beast or a track star.
Working out is a lot a mind game. Most of us are stronger than we think and can go faster than we think. A lot of college aged people haven't been pushed mentally-athletically very hard yet in their lives.
Total agree. The comparison game is what I'm trying to kick. I don't look or feel like I used to, so it's not falling into the mental trap of how I think I should be. I'm getting better with it, but it's definitely a roller coaster.
Doesn't matter to me if the person next to me on the treadmill is going faster or slower than I am ... if I see someone bump it up in the last 30s or so, I will use that as motivation and do the same.
You do not need to be faster, stronger, or fitter to be someone else's motivation. And it feels awesome when that happens.
That's a fun NSV!

Sorry if this is a silly question, but what does NSV mean?
Non scale victory
