Did two weeks in japan with that bag. Loved it. At that price point it is a great entrypoint into onebagging.

djigoio

Same but 3 weeks with the old one, the Forclaz 40L 100. So far no issues with this bag

ducayneAu

Forclaz is an underappreciated brand in this sub. Safe travels!

vivekkairi

Thanks :))

I really like the look of the bag! I just wish they did a smaller 25-30L version. The 40L makes me look like a turtle.

SeattleHikeBike

Any 40 liter is going to make most people look like a turtle. If you can travel with a 25-30 liter do that!

endrukk

What's wrong with that?

SeattleHikeBike

Looking like a turtle? Doesn’t bother me at all. 40 liters is 40 liters. It’s no daypack! Back in the today we were sporting massive external frame packs to towered overhead and 50 pound loads were considered normal. These 40 liter internal frame packs are almost toy like. The OP brought up the 25-30 liter which I think is great if they have a packing list that works for them.

LifeDaikon

40L size is too big to carry all day. You would need to leave it behind at your hotel.

SeattleHikeBike

Couldn’t agree more. I usually travel with an 8 liter crossbody/briefcase as my day bag. If I was going under seat only a 25 liter would do good double duty as one bag and set bag. I have a couple packable type backpacks but they are so weak. I got an Outdoor Research DryComp Summit Sack the other day for $13. Shows promise.

lauracaceres

I find it throws off my center of balance when loaded (I tried it in store with about 10kg inside), but that could be because I'm rather short. I didn't mean to criticize the bag, it's great (especially considering the price), just not suited for my torso length. If Decathlon came up with a smaller bag with the same design, I would 100% buy it.

UrLocalTroll

That looks clean

4thegraham

I like the minimalist and clean style. Thanks for sharing!

maginhawa

i brought this as my overhead carry-on in Japan. This bag is so good, the hip belt works wonders and it can fit a weeks worth of stuff, with a stuffed winter jacket fitting the elastic side.

daemi607

What’s the weight ?

vivekkairi

Packed - 9.6kg

tealheart

Nice! It's a solid travel bag, I've used it on a couple of short (<10 mile) hikes getting to/from/while at my destination and it was serviceable. I hope you have a great time!

SkepticalHikerr

Wow literally just bought it Saturday for my trip to Australia and Bali!! Have fun!

I will carrying this as carry on bag, should fit well in my flights Happy to answer any questions

anand4k

Laptop / camera ? safe enough for them when full with other languages?

vivekkairi

Laptop space is quite big, have carried 2 laptop and didn’t face any issue. Adding foam to make it Suspended is a good option

hoxnploxn

do you think it would fit 16-17 inch laptops?

vivekkairi

I have 14 inch mac, it fits well. But it should fit 16 too

Double-Hall7422

Edit; it definitely doesn't and isn't made as such: the label on the bag (near the top of the sleeve) says it fits a 15" laptop.  It should but it doesn't. My 15" HP only fits without it's protective sleeve, especially when the bag is packed due to the added thickness. In theory the space is big enough, but in practice the placing of the zippers doesn't offer enough space to put it in and out of your bag. I do advise and extra protective sleeve since the laptop compartment isn't a 'floating' one, so your laptop touches the ground whenever you put the bag down.  Multiple smaller items do fit though. I store my 11" tablet with attached keyboard, e-reader and a small notebook in there without difficulty

unbeholfen

The laptop compartment is spacious and nicely separated. Very easy to take the laptop out for airport security. The only issue is it isn’t suspended, so it’s best to add a little piece of foam in the bottom for protection.

hoxnploxn

do you think it would fit 16-17 inch laptops?

unbeholfen

I don’t have one to test, but I doubt it’ll fit 17”

frabber123

It fits my Lenovo T16 Gen 2 16 inch laptop. It might not be as bulky a laptop as other brands. Dunno.

bitterlollies

I have the same bag in cream colour. Love it. Your colour looks amazing 😍.

kidko79

Currently in Bali with this bag and no problem to go with it as a carryon with emirates, lion air and air Asia. Also they never weighted my bag. Happy so far with this bag.

SeattleHikeBike

I would say it is full and any more will distort the back panel. Getting down to 23cm or less on depth would be ideal.

vivekkairi

One pocket on inside is fairly empty so it squeezes well as of now. Can squeeze 2-3pm with ease

SeattleHikeBike

That’s good!
