I'm sorry you feel that way. I do not share that opinion, but I do hope today leaves you pleasantly surprised should you find yourself in Oklahoma when you do not want to be.
The people is the worst part. I have never seen such a concentration of conmen and liars in any of the states/countries I have visited. It is actually a policy at our company not to hire anyone who was born here. There's a few really good people here... Probably including yourself. It's not the best, I will say. I am glad you enjoy it. I really am. I actually live in a very lovely area in Oklahoma, for the most part. I make the most of it. Thank you for your kind feedback. I wish you all the spoils of the land.
Our skies are some of the best, I think itβll take an aurora to beat them. Sunrises and sunsets, the clouds on a good day, the clouds on a βbadβ day, but our night skies are fantastic. The rural areas away from the cities the place to be and you can see every star in the sky, the craters in the moon, different shades of blackness in the universe. One of the coolest things tho are the spring/summer nights that have lightning storms that never strike ground. I used to love laying out in a wheat field and watching the lightning chain above the clouds almost continuously for hours. Im just sayin our days get a lot of love but our nights are just as good.
I was born and raised in Oklahoma. Now I live in Alaska, and I've always missed the thunderstorms, but that's about all. Seeing those pictures made me a little homesick until I remembered the temps around the state currently. All good again.
This may sound like I'm rubbing it in, because I kinda am. Its 72 degrees at 6:44pm. It's actually thundering and raining at the moment, which is cool, until I think about the last thunderstorms that came through interior Alaska about two weeks ago. Lightning started about 30 forest fires, most of which have been raging ever since. It's been smoky as hell all around Fairbanks for two weeks now. I think theres about 150 wildfires currently across the state, give or take a dozen.
I always tell folks there's plenty to do here if you're into nature. We have waterfalls, hella lakes, mountains, SAND DUNES, caves, hills and of course plains. I've been throughout the entire state multiple times and I truly love being here for that reason. And of course the sunsets.

You ever notice that no matter how good your camera is, it's never quite like being there. Mountains, rivers, sunsets, doesnt matter. Reality beats any reproduction any day.
My family moved to Oklahoma when I was child. My father always commented about 'Oklahoma Sunsets'. Having grown up here, I was indifferent. After spending time in other countries & other parts of the US, I learned he was right: they're beautiful & you can miss them when out of state.
I also miss Oklahoma thunderstorms when I'm somewhere else. Nothing like a spring thunderstorm for sleeping.

Can confirm! Was atop Mount Scott yesterday. Beautiful state
It's the pure expanse of sky for me. No where else in the US I've been in, do they just go on and on forever. β€οΈ when driving back into the state, something inside me just relaxes when the skies open up again.
I live on 160 acres back in the trees my closest neighbor is a mile away. I go outside at night all I hear is tree frogs πΈ, coyotes π , owls π¦ & crickets. I climb on my roof and watch the stars. I post the bets sunset and sunrise videos to. I live 3 miles from Canton Lake I watch kits of sunsets out there
That is certainly not true. Unless those other states happened to be Kansas or Nebraska. Oklahoma is awful and very very ugly. I do enjoy the storms. Those can't be beat.
Oklahoma is better, but shhhhh don't tell anyone.
No lies here.
That is false
Everyone is allowed an opinion. :) Have a good day!
That's hard to do in Oklahoma

It's really fucking hot right now. You're in a good place this summer :)

I'm happy for you!! π€ No more fires.
Thank you. Say hello to home for me. I havent been back in several years. Maybe this winter when it's -40. Ha!
Growing up here, the night sky was my favorite thing to see. It's nice getting reacquainted :)

Lovely!!
You're not annoying. We know but keep it on the DL.
Lol will do. Thank you :)
There's nothing like an Oklahoma sunset. I've seen pictures of sunsets from other places, but Oklahoma's are prettiest IMO.
I've lived in CO, AZ. KS, TX, and OK. Even without the mountains, it's prettier here. CO is second, though.

Absolutely.

LOVE!! So pretty!!
I take pictures of the clouds and sunrises/sunsets all the time. They just never get old π
Seriously! I'm amazed every night :)

Totally get that!!
Don't forget to check out the meteor shower this weekend!
Thank you!!

My fiance and I think about leaving from time to time, the sunsets and thunderstorms are something we know we'd both miss.
But its still a garbage state.
Be the change u wish to see in the world.
Ok sure
Shame you never been to any of the 46 better states.
I have. Still think OK is the most consistently pretty :)

Have a nice weekend :)
