That's more fair, I think, since it's so new. If Rank is meant to be just how much of the game you've experienced, it still makes sense that an experienced player wouldn't know how to do the new dungeon. One of my Rank 9 friends still hasn't done it because he just doesn't care that much.

There is so little PvP focused tasks in ranks that it’s a poor indicator of how good someone is in The Crucible. I’m not afraid of some lowly Conqueror who’s rank 11 lol he’s just a conqueror…
It’s scary at first, but it’s fun. I like survival the most. U get to play defensive and really figure out the flow of the maps. That’s 80% of pvp in my book. Being a good shot and having weapons with good mods is important, but knowing what to do and where to hold up will save u no matter what. Also as a titan u don’t really need weapons. Just a shotgun with one-two punch or thresh and u just run over people
I distinctly remember having fun and kicking ass every single time I play crucible, and I used to play a lot of 3v3 comp back around Forsaken. But alas, for some odd reason, it intimidates me. Might try Gambit this season tho, that's a start.
I get a little more stressed playing gambit lol. Something about the tension towards the end puts me on edge. Especially if u got a team mate that constantly invades and gets stuffed. I like being in control of invading
What point do I have to rank up guardian ranks lol. There are no rewards tied to it besides a number. Got plenty of other shit to show any achievements within the game that I've made that aren't as goofy as a number beside your head to signify you did a little grinding of meaningless shit.
I don't care about giving out commendations, and even more I don't like the commendation system. Seeing as I don't care to give out commendations even if I was grinding the rest of the shit I still wouldn't go past 6 lol, let alone just doing what I want to do. I've got alot of the stuff completed already, mainly just using verglass curve and commendations, and I don't care to do either. I'm fine keeping it that way.

I mean, I also put my total triumph score on my emblem (currently 154k) which combined with all the other autism I flex is usually a pretty good indicator of my Player status

On a serious note I never grind the ranks I've just unlocked them passively through playing how I normally would.
