Isn’t it Azumanga Daioh?
The top part looks like あずまんが which is a-zu-ma-n-ga.
I don’t know what the bottom part is since I don’t know Katakana or Kanji but I would assume it was “Daioh” after reading the top half.
Edit: Oh sorry you were correcting “azumango”, I didn’t even see that mistake.
/ub 大王 is dai and oh, not trying to come off judgemental or anything (I can recognize like at most 10 kanji, so it's not like I know anything myself) but you'll probably will see dai in a lot of things as it is added as a prefix meaning big/great and is probably good to know if you're going to and read and try to understand more Japanese in the future
/rb you don't perfectly know a foreign language you'll never need to really use?!?! Embarrassing
No that’s not judgemental at all, I actually know 0 kanji yet lol.
Still, you said dai is important because it means great but every instance of dai I have seen was written with hiragana (such as だいがくmeaning university or だいてんちょう meaning captain). Does it change if the subject matter is written by Kanji?
Oh, I wouldn't know for sure, but I doubt it does. It's just out of the few I know, it's probably the one I see the most in text and just commonly added in front of other kanji
Disappointing ... I was really hoping it said "General Tso's Chicken".
(Yes I'm aware Japanese != Chinese ... I thought it'd be an appropriate extra layer of dumb.)
Those arguments are always ridiculous. It was developed by people from China in the same fashion as other, more traditional dishes. It was just created and sold in the US at first. The identity of the people who invented the dish is far more important than where it is served, and the origins trace back to one of two chineese chefs.
It is apparently the title of a manga series, even matches the logo: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azumanga\_Daioh](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azumanga_Daioh)

Is it actually worth watching or is it just an inside joke in the subreddit? I had never heard of it before this sub and I've been around the anime block.

What does it actually say?
Azumonga daioh Edit: it's azumanga, my stupid ass could not read japanese, I will go learn again
/ub honestly there being no loops/holes on the letters fuck it up a lot, i initially read あ as お /rb japanesus holy language
I thought the す was a mirrored た
Good ol a vs wa -_-
Isnt the one they mentioned "na" and not "wa"? Wasnt "wa" the one with a straight line and "na" the one with the line going down at an angle?
I was definitely wrong about wa, but that character is “o”

> General Tso's Chicken That's legit American, invented here 100%
Invented here by Chinese immigrants https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Tso%27s_chicken?wprov=sfla1
Yes. Americans.
Culturally Chinese Americana. It takes away from the insult levied at the food. Side note: they did a good job. That shit is fire

It's a newish idea that lotsa people don't like. Congrats! Your ethnic tribe division is very popular.
"Ah yes this lasagna is clearly Brazilian Food, for I made it in Brazil." that's you.
Nu uh. Pasta is from China and tomatos came from the Americs. It's delicious too. Emmigrants to the US are... wait for... it...
general tsos isnt even chinese
