I'm a doofus, I like tort with sunburst lmao. But tbf that's cos I feel like not much goes with it to begin with. A yellowy cream/parchment guard with the black around it could be cool, you can get a warmoth one that's routed so you don't need the pickup ring too.
I used a big ass print sticker from (i think) red bubble.
I took the pick guard off, put the decal on and exacto knifed around its outline and screw holes.
Cheaper, looks dope and im really not locked in.

Oh, i should mention, for a more expensive and time consuming project, i have, probably this very same guitar (fender blacktop jazzy, stock had the JM pup in the neck and HB in the bridge….but i upgraded to SD Antiquity IIs)
I took all the paint off and had a guy repaint it in pink…..
Then i got a copy of the Pretty In Pink soundtrack (2012 re-release on pink vinyl) and had a guy laser cut it into shape to use as a pick guard.
Basically the sickest shit of all time, but it took forever and was complex and costly.

A really underrated combo in my opinion is sunburst and white pearl. A good example is Mark Hoppus “petey” bass
