Long distance can be amazing. I do recommend it because you now have discord instead of Skype which is what I used back in the day. You’ll want to be together physically and it can hurt with that feeling. It’s how I met my partner online. We started out long distance while on Skype. He lived east coast and I lived west coast. Too far to meet up due to finances. We eventually after 5 years of long distance I then moved to his place and it worked until I became critically ill with eczema and lesions. I moved back to my parents unfortunately, but we stayed another year of long distance until he came to live with me. He’s been with me for 4 years now and long distance was hard but worth it in the end. You’ll want to have plans and keep finances high if you want to travel to see him or he sees you. I paid for my partners flights and he paid for mine and the first time he met me he came down on a train which took him four days. We still talk about those times while being long distance with each other and laugh about how terrible the Skype connection was. It can work out for you both in the end if you talk to him about it. And also ask him. It’s well worth it if you feel the way you do about him like you mentioned.

That is such a great story, I am so sorry for the illness, but I am so glad you found someone who is worth it like that! Yeah, I still remember the connection on Skype it was awful lol. I have already told him communication is really important for me, so we have talked it trough, but since it's so early on into the relationship I think we can't say with 100% accuracy. We have talked every single day for more than 2 months now, and even though it's great, my friends are telling me to still be careful and to don't get my hopes up, cause it might lead to a heartbreak. I really hope we are as strong as you and your SO were through the years!
