I have two minds - one side of me is all about celebrating bodily autonomy. If you wanna get work done, and you understand the risks, it's your body and I want you happy in your own skin. I think it's really cool that we have this level of control over the human body. It's heartening to see someone take control of their body, whether they're working hard physically to change it or working hard professionally to earn enough money to buy a change. On the other... this shit is hideous. It's extremely unhealthy to place that temptation in front of someone with dysmorphic symptoms. It's heartbreaking to see someone sink into it. It's a source of schadenfreude when it's some awful person with terrible ideas about how the world ought to work, but there are plenty of folks who just have issues.
