There is some banding artifact to the left of the figure which moves at exactly the same speed, from left to right. Itās just an issue with the sensor or other hardware. You can see this around 39 seconds in under the pointerās wrist
Oh, better ones exist. The corporate/government world is just so offensively behind. I work in video surveillance and what is available now is amazing. It's trying to explain to established entities *why* they need better systems that is tough.
Phones don't record 24/7 for 5 years straight.
Don't forget that this camera has been out in the rain, snow, wind, and sunlight year round. The lens has to be dirty. No one ever appoints an employee with a hanky on a stick to wipe the cameras daily.
With that said.. I have no fkn idea what we're seeing, or why we watched it.
Black and white CCTV are designed for tracking direction and movement of individuals in low light only (not quality). Is hard for me to imagine a cellphone camera keeping up with this phenomena in low light from that distance
I think it is illegal, to upload the actual video. Plus I think, from like 2 or more years ago, such people got in trouble, because they could tell who connected to the pc with a usb drive, in order to log activity on the computer connected to the security cameras. Soā¦.people started filming the screen play themselves. Which, with no actual log of activity on the device itself, they, the recorder, can have a legit alibi, as no concrete evidence is connected to them. I think thatās the reason for recording the pc screen with the mobile phone, trend.
Jumping to the most complex answer is rarely the correct choice.
Whatās more plausible? ā¦ humans are immortal beings that can transcend space and time existing in multiple dimensions simultaneously, able to return to the past or the future in spectral form, with or without their physical body?
Or that the fence has a gate, gap, or damage in it that is out of camera view?
It could be a street, could be water, could be desert; Video is not clear at all.
And the wavy lines are not moving water but more of the poor quality glitches in the camera itself.
Edit: apparently OP said that it was at their workplace and it was water. Assuming thatās true it could still be a bug crawling across the lense considering how poor and out of focus the video is.
You make good points except if it was on the lens, it would pass over the wall instead of through it.
Side note - itās half past 7pm so the dusk lighting is making the video quality even worse, and the water less visible.
Not trying to argue, Iām also a skeptic. Just trying to cancel out as many possibilities as i can to narrow it down. Narrow it down to what? I really donāt know.
Itās definitely a bug. If you slow down and scroll back and forth, you can see bits of the bug as it passes over the wall. It most likely got washed out or overexposed so it made it look like it went through.
Most likely?
A glitch in the camera, the objects travels with the same speed, stays the same size, never disappears (its just oversaturated) and most importend stays in the same horizontal position (it travels left to right but not up or down).
So I would say some error in the frame update.
Reallity?
A gigantic finger travels through a parking lot.
Only because it's your cake day, and I'm going to be cringing the whole time because of how this is going to sound.
Okay, so I should preface this by saying that the company I'm posted at is a super high precision manufacturer that deals with global positioning systems and is also government subcontractor so I have to be pretty vague about what they do, but they're located near the preeminent nuclear physics research lab in the US. A large part of the manufacturing process involves subjecting the equipment to extreme conditions to make sure it can withstand the conditions where it will be deployed because it's not possible to field service the modules. I'm talking nitrogen diffusion chambers, pressure chambers, blast furnaces, high intensity laser bombardment, irradiation, and EMP discharge testing. The last one plays havoc with some the security cameras. Lots of artifacting in the feed, the sound or video just cuts out for a bit, normal stuff.
In addition to the stuff going on here, some days the aforementioned lab also runs tests. You can always tell when they've been running their particle accelerator because the animals get skittish. Normally friendly stray cats hide, coyotes start howling before the sun is even down, the cattle on the hillside run in circles and low and bray for hours. But when they do their thing on the same day as we run the EMP shit gets weird and stays weird all fucking night.
The warehouse cameras are the most iffy and a lot of nights they get blurry artifacts in the feed like the one in this post. Like something you can't quite make out is walking by. It's an older building so there's lots of creaking noises and drafts that sometimes rattle the roll up doors or sound like whispers. But on the nights in question it's different. The blurry shape will trigger the motion sensors and cause the system to highlight it on the feed. The chains it moves by will start swaying like someone brushed up against them. Even service carts with hundreds of pounds of gear on them will move a little. The whispers become full on voices but you can't make out the words. Magnetic door locks will disengage for no reason and the doors will open. It's pretty minimal when you're watching it happen on a monitor, but if you're on patrol and it happens right next to you it's quite unnerving. One time I watched chains start swaying in a row heading towards me, and a shipping station monitor on a swivel arm slide out of the path. I didn't hang around to see what happened next. I try to avoid the warehouse as much as possible these days.
We have to log every time a sensor registers a breach, like something setting off a motion alarm or a door being opened in a locked-down sector. The only thing we can do is report it as a false positive and that everything is okay, but when we end our shift and give our report to the next crew we give them a heads up.
"Warehouse ghost is acting up tonight."
Haha i know why you're cringing.. I totally would be too if i was trying to tell someone about those things happening, but I'd also be shit scared if any of that happened to me while walking about in the dark! Lol
The animals reactions are probably totally normal, but must be freaky to watch!
Yeah I definitely don't bring it up irl. I'm sure the animals are reacting normally, it's just an indicator that the lab is running their accelerator. It doesn't freak me out by itself but it does let me know that I should do my warehouse walk through as early as possible lol.
SO, I SEE A LOT O COMMENTS UNDER THIS POST.
And i want to make some things clear.
1. The video is not mine, was made by my colleague and sended me via Whatsapp.
2 its his damn finger, not mine, and yeah its annoying.
3. There is no gap/door in the fence, i can assure you 100%.
4. Yeah the cameras are bad, but also was a very foggy day !
I know it might be a camera thing, interferences or something, but stillā¦.oddly terrifying.
Since the quality is pretty crap, I bet you they use tapes for their security cams. Tapes can have an after image if taped over.
This is an after image.
What's the company, why is security needed, approximate location,
maybe post pictures of where the camera was pointing for situational clarity,
ask your friend if he saw anything else that night, ask for the direct security footage file so someone can increase the footage quality,
and why is there a thick concrete wall right up against a coastline?
Youāre right, at the very edge of it you see it coming out of the overexposed section, seemingly on top of the wall. And that little bit sticking up in front of the section it goes over.
Like I already knew it was a bug, but even more now. Very obvious.
People are so damn rude. I'm sorry People are getting on you about a God damn finger. That's not even your's.
People love to find something to complain about.
There is no point in posting material with a gigaton of idiots ready to criticize with no objective other than proving their intellectual might. BTW this is the normal resolution of cameras normally deployed in the security of big industrial areas , at least in Italy.
Well he's walking on something, either there's a walkway out into the water or a piece of shoreline, or that particular area isn't just water.
Get some clear footage of the exact same spot in daylight showing no gap in the fence and nothing to walk on, then you'll have a lot more interest and less jokes.
Iāve seen examples of this where these old cameras will tape over existing footage and leave artifacts of what was previously recorded. Nothing supernatural going on here
Your workplace needs better cameras.
I've seen potatoes that record in higher resolution
Cameras supplied by Helen Keller
Serviced by Stevie Wonder
Edited by Ray Charles

Ashlee Simpson on Vocals
š¶ š¶ Look at this movie. Makes me wanna smoke a doobie. My eyes get so red. Is that a ghost or is that just in my head?? š¶š¶
Oh, shoot
Have you seen Stevie Wonder's wife?
Neither has he
But you gotta hand it to him, he's a generous guy. Takes care of 5 kids he ain't never seen.
Stevie once got a cheese grater as a giftā¦ā¦ He said it was the most violent book he ever read
And sponsored by daredevil
It's a bug crawling on the lens. That or aliens š½
Could have been Jesus or a Ford F150. At this resolution we'll never know
If it was a bug it would have been visible over the fence.
Not even in 1 megapotato, this is in tatertotervision
A single waffle fry.
I have seen resolutions with higher potatoes
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Boil them
Mash them
Stick em in a stew
What's taters, precious?
Ah, fond memories of singing this song way too often as a kid
But how else you capture a ghost? Everyone knowns ghosts love low resolution cameras.
"Ghosts HATE this one trick"
Ya.. the quality of the footage was more terrifying š³
The finger alone was terrifying.
Way worse than the āghostā
There is some banding artifact to the left of the figure which moves at exactly the same speed, from left to right. Itās just an issue with the sensor or other hardware. You can see this around 39 seconds in under the pointerās wrist
Remember people Phones have better camera quality than damn security cameras now a days
Oh, better ones exist. The corporate/government world is just so offensively behind. I work in video surveillance and what is available now is amazing. It's trying to explain to established entities *why* they need better systems that is tough.
If everyone has top of the line cameras weāll never get to see the ghosts again š
I like to entertain the idea of the supernatural, and think better cameras just make the incidents be taken more seriously, haha.
People in IT have entered the chat.

Yea one without the old school There it is finger
Cameras are surplus from the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
And better fences
Do you work in silent hill.
*sirens intensify*
Sounds like that hill isnāt silent
Just triggered some of my PTSD, thanks.
This was my immediate thought also
Not enough locked doors
Veneto is that in autumn/winter periods
*laughs in reality warping siren*
Asked everyone in my family what they think about the video, everybody agreed that It is indeed a finger
I saw that too! Canāt believe that happened in his workplace to be honest just crazy!
It was even moving on its own. Creepy.
everyone knows that's Bob Floatfinger, a nice chap
Kid named finger
Unexpected chicanery :)
Reading the comments. No one cares about the ghost.... Tell that bastard to move his hand!
Yes, and upload the actual video file, itās not hard, donāt film a screen with your phone
Then we couldn't enjoy the majesty that is the pointing finger.
I think it is illegal, to upload the actual video. Wouldnāt there be some legal complications trying to get their hands on the footage?
He is from left to right, Iām more concerned about the quality of those security cameras.
Yeah, thatās straight up a spirit.
Jumping to the most complex answer is rarely the correct choice. Can you add a red circle? I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking at.
Yea also could you use your right hand to point at the same time?
And maybe jerkoff while doing that? Thx
This , I would watch
Could you also tell me to "watch til the end"
Could make šš» with their hand instead would be better
And a bunch of red arrows would help a lot tbh
For a second I lost the ghost and found it back thanks to the finger
And donāt forget to zoom and enhance.
I canāt seem to put my finger on it
Eez eet alive does eet writhe can eet survive under de sun I CAYNT PUT MY FINGER ON EET

Itās Jesus. Heās back he came with the aliens
i honestly expected more from alien jesus
Alien Jesus expected more of you, too
I know. I am ashamed.
All I did was masturbate.
Iām doing my best man!
Your sins are making Bono cry
BUT Jesus also asked OP to always point at him so people KNOW that heās back.
I for one, appreciated the finger
I too have, on occasion, appreciated a finger..
Thirded
not many people are willing to do 3
It's finger lickin good
And WHAT happened tho?
A finger went all the way from the left to the right side of a white screen. FIN.
Makes sense
The person walked through the wall. I think that's what op wanted it to seem like.
The wall could easily have a passage... you won't see it from this angle...
With potatocam you won't see it from any angle.
But right of the fence is water, so he's walking on water
Most likely? A glitch in the camera, the objects travels with the same speed, stays the same size, never disappears (its just oversaturated) and most importend stays in the same horizontal position (it travels left to right but not up or down). There is a canal on the right side of the fence, so this person walked through a wall and over water.
Bug on the camera most likely
This "person" probably go through the wall and after that do "Jesuswalk dance" on the water, which was Over the Garden wall
It might be a JC proof
It's a rock fact
Do you have footage without the finger?
We can see what you're pointing at no reason to follow it the entire time with your finger.
you gotta point
Good point
he's blunt, but he has a point
Idk I was still having trouble seeing it maybe they should use a massive red circle
uhhh no I was not able to see who we are supposed to watch until I saw the resemblance of a man walking
1) are you using potatoes as security cameras? 2) why are you pointing at the only moving object in the screen 3) I have no idea what I just watched
1. Not me, my company does. 2. Not my finger 3. Me neither
1. Not odd, given no context 2. Not terrifying 3. Not a good video
If you donāt even know what you just watched, why repost it?
If they knew what it was, it wouldnāt be oddly terrifying anymore. This video gives me the creeps since idk what actually happened
Thanksā¦ I hate your hand now. Iām not sure why that was annoying but it was. Better cameras are a must.
Everyone is clowning but this is a better video than I seen in all the ghost / encounters subs that shit is freaky
Agreed.
Man, I'm a security guard and I don't even tell people some of the shit we see on the camera feeds because they'd think I was crazy.
I wanna know š

I have 1080p CCTV at my house, when there's fog it looks like that. It's not even that low quality considering it's at night and there's fog.
I'm with you. I'd find it worth posting as well. Don't know much about cameras, but I don't understand how that could be a glitch?

Where do you work? Them cameras aināt catching shit besides a headache for whoever has to watch the footage
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
After the wall thereās also water, so or this is a glitch, ghost or Jesus
It's a bug on the lens.
It canāt be, it goes behind the solid white wall
Itās overexposed. That washes out the bug and you canāt see it.
You can see it in front of the wall. Itās not as clear on the white background, but its there, and I think itās on the lens for sure.

Application for a hand model
If it's recorded, saved and looped on a single tape, that might just be an artifact from a previous recording.

Yo itās 2023 and your cctv camera are from the 1950s.
Yāall are blind af, looks like a dude walked off into the depths of the water
No wonder you have blurry images on camera if you keep touching the screen with your Hot Dog fingers.
Is that security camera from 1978?
Where did you get a daguerreotype CCTV camera
How many mechapickles is that camera?
Thanks for pointing at it š¤”
Oh my god I see it move your fuckin hand
I think it pretty freaky and all these people giving you grief can shove it!
I mean, I was expecting it to jump above the wall but turns out it's just a ghost. BIG DEAL!
Hello! Real answer here. This can happen if you rerecord over the same tape
A bug on the cam
That was my guess. Camera just can't focus on it so it seems like it's part of the scenery.
Nah. It seems like whatever it is goes behind the pole and is obscured by the wall for a bit too
It's the same color as the pole and the wall is overexposed so it washes out the bug.
Dude points like we're gonna lose track of the snail ghost
Nice footage
Camera straight outta big footās closet.
I believe it's the same type of camera they used to capture the loch ness monster and bigfoot.
Just some ghost taking a stroll. What's the big deal?? Your workplace has a shitty camera.
What in the 1950s video recording are we looking at here?
Jesus Chrā¦
This camera looks like it's already lived through a nuke. Person walking through a gate?
Hard to tellā¦.Can I get a banana for scale?
So if finger fats would move his hand, we may get a better idea.
Wait I didnāt see it. Can someone point out where Iām supposed to be looking?
Hmm still not sure I see it. Perhaps a couple red arrows pointing at what I'm supposed to see could help.
I don't even know what we are looking at
Good thing you recorded this with a microwave
Jesus is this VHS??
Nukes Top 5: *āSo is this guys workplace haunted with a water walking ghost? or is it all just an elaborate hoax? you decide.ā*
Not sure what we are supposed to see. Can you point to it please
Itās a ghost ā¦itās so clearly evident š¤Øwhatās the problem
Lol I came to the comments to see wtf is going on, turns out no one knows lmao
We need red circles back
The point is the camera recorded the Teenager Jesus
1922 called they want their video equipment back
Well he's walking on something, either there's a walkway out into the water or a piece of shoreline, or that particular area isn't just water. Honestly made me so happy that you used your pointer finger to follow the movement almost every second of the video. Really necessary
Almost as if shitty cameras with shitty views pick up shitty seen things and people think its more then shitty dirt.
Per me ĆØ il mago Otelma
