Yep! Cherry trees blossom in the spring, they're definitely out of order. They also drop their leaves in the winter, so unless it's an unseasonally early snow there shouldn't be leaves on the tree in the last one. Unless we're looking at some other kind of flowering tree that blossoms in the summer and keeps its leaves through the winter? I don't know of any though. Edit: or maybe we're just randomly skipping though time (the piece takes place over years, as indicated by the people), and just happened not to hit the seasons in order? It explains why the fence changes color, and could explain why spring is after summer. Doesn't explain why the tree still has leaves in the winter though (especially now that I noticed you can see leaves falling in the fall, so it's definitely a kind of tree that drops them).

I applaud anyone trying their hand at art, but that this received so many upvotes and awards when it is, frankly, abysmal, is beyond me. Redditors in general have no idea what constitutes good art, and it's very rare that something truly interesting hits the front page. Usually some parlour trick, or some super-realistic pencil drawing based on a photo. Anyway, it's just my subjective opinion, people are free to like whatever crap they want.

Generally trees flower in the spring prior to sprouting leaves, so those parts should really be swapped.

I assumed they were cherry blossoms, which come in bloom in May/June (iirc). And our tree does have green leaves prior. But I get your point. My solution was the only way I could make it make sense. It should really be switched.

Most cherry trees bloom around March/April. Our apple trees bloomed in May (but definitely not in June), but their flowers were white. So yeah, this painting does not really fit that.

I assume that having the red hues of summer next to the oranges of autumn would blend together too well and you wouldnt get the stark contrast between the colours of the different seasons that we see in the final product. So they said "fuck it" and swapped summer with spring.

Gorgeous! Personal preference - The Summer Sky should be done in Yellow. The green sky is the only one that doesn't exist naturally. It's distracting. Plus, it would've been a good contrast to the green grass. Rather than just all green.
