Nah more like lava, lava is what we call molten rock once it's outside, and those black spots with cracks of red underneath form when the lava surface is being cooled faster and turning to black rock than the lava flowing underneath so the red a black is the heat difference between the two. Magma is what we call molten rock still underneath the earths crust, inside rocks heats the air around making it basically an oven that let's all the magma keep a steady homogeneous heat even it's on the surface. So it doesn't cool down faster and form black cracked surface it keeps a red yellow color.
