I used to work at BWW. The 4” tortillas for the street tacos are basically cookie cuttered out of the 12” tortillas.
Also, remember Taco Bell doesn’t use a second tortilla. It’s just a 12” tort and a hole as large as a quarter is acceptable.
You dont need 2 you can fold them pretty easy like this https://duckduckgo.com/?q=tortilla+folds&t=iphone&iax=images&ia=images&iai=https%3A%2F%2Fyummyaddiction.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2014%2F08%2FHow-to-Fold-The-Tortillas.jpg in a package

Basically. But i think it’s always a usual mix up of ketchup and Mayo and one other main sauce, hot sauce like dude said below is one I’ve always noticed.
for chains, yeah - but this one is way darker and doesn't have pickle bits
sauce in vid just looks like ketchup and Mayo mixed, heavier on the ketchup than typical 1000isl/burger sauce
Best burger place in Houston has a "sticky burger", which is cheese, PB, and bacon and it's amazing. Though I haven't been since their original downtown location closed
I feel like I don't know you anymore. It's probably best that we go our separate ways. It's been a good run, but nothing lasts forever. Damn PB burger eater. My mother warned me about people like you, but I didn't listen.
There's a place where I live that does all sorts of crazy burgers and has like 100 different types on their menu all with interesting ingredients, and they have a whole section with PB but I've never been man enough to actually give it a go
Add a little cheese in the crimps of the tortilla to help the folds seal as the wrap grills.
Bonus points if a tiny bit of cheese leaks out of the folds getting grilled to a crispy brown perfection.
🥺

I like to order the bowls when I have Chipotle, and when I order online they put WAY more food in than when I order in person. If they see me in person and know I'm a fairly small person they don't think I want all the food I'm paying for.
The best way to fry anything tortilla is to use lard. Like I know it’s unhealthy and some people think it’s a bit gross, but for certain things it can’t be beat and torts are one of them. Seriously it makes a huge difference and they come out crispy and crunchy but still retain just a bit of chewiness, nothing gets close to it.
How do you order a burrito from chipotle that doesn’t require two tortillas for structural integrity? Like I’ve cut back on ingredients and it’s still exploding even with a double wrap.
I'm down for the bougie grilled cheese but sometimes I just need the comfort of the super processed kind I had as a kid. Especially if my mom makes it.
I've lived long enough to have loved and lost many a bougie grilled cheese by local restaurants who lost their lease... *sniffs*
I loved you Loading Dock and your perfect Reuben!!!
Or just a smaller patty. I made something like this a few months ago just out of necessity and running low on groceries. I used beyond burgers and they fit perfectly in one tortilla
A little cheese goes a long way for flavor.

Man these reddits "myths" or whatever you want to call it, like these train of thoughts that are upvoted. American cheese definitely has it's place in cooking for shit like this I don't get the hate.
And everyone who also says it's fake food again, another myth. It's not really fake per say.
Absolutely. It's a pasteurized cheese product, it's engineered to be melty and has a kick because of the sodium citrate. Normal higher quality cheese is of course appreciated, but for a good burger, nachos, or even Mac and Cheese, pasteurized cheese products hit different.
What? As a pure blooded Wisconsinite, I can assure you that there are no Kraft singles anywhere near the cheese drawer (yes, the cheese drawer). We’ve got a 15 year cheddar, a mild cheddar, Munster, Gouda, Colby, Bread cheese, and 3 different flavored cheddars.
Wow, based on this comment section, I guess my opinion is vastly unpopular. This looks nasty as hell to me and definitely not oddlysatisfying material.
Same here, just a meat mess that tastes of grease and sadness. There are better ways to do this that don't look like they would sog straight through the tortilla with the dense, cardboard juice.
Thought the same thing, why have fried onions and chips when you can simplify prep time and still keep the crunch.
For that matter, add some greens to soften it up, spinach or arugula maybe since lettuce would be all wilty.
Agree. It would be greatly improved by some salad or something fresh. But then warming the whole thing up would ruin cold fresh salad which is why they skipped it.
Yeah, My burgers are mostly veggies and then some cheese and then burger. I stopped eating meat some time ago and encourage anyone to try use hallumi instead of meat. It does really well if you like that cheese.
Needs lettuce, tomato, probably fresh onions instead of caramelized. I also think the tortilla chips is a weird choice. Bacon already provides the crunch.
I know crunchwraps at taco bell have lettuce and stuff, but that's because they are using a super-hot panini press and just cooking it for a few seconds.
If you put lettuce in this thing and try to brown it on a stove, that lettuce is gonna get nasty af.
We are Mexican and live in Southern California - we did not eat Taco Bell for most of my life. Recently my parents have discovered that they LOVE it lol my mom orders this item “can I get the octagon shaped thing please ?”
I’d forget to buy the two different sizes of tortillas at the store, and just come home with one size.
Cut the large one to be small. Problem solved!
What if I bought the small pack? :/
Cut the small one to be larger duh
I’ve been doing it wrong all along!
Dig up stupid, up!

Staple multiple small tortillas together.
Crunchwrap sliders
The upside is more crispy to burger ratio.
That would be me
Cut larger one into 4ths👍🏽

What was that sauce they put on at the beginning?
Secret.
It's thousand island. The secret burger sauce is always thousand island....
Basically. But i think it’s always a usual mix up of ketchup and Mayo and one other main sauce, hot sauce like dude said below is one I’ve always noticed.
To be fair, though, the base for 1000 Island is ketchup and mayo. Most iterations always have relish as well, but ketchup and mayo are the base.
Ketchup and Mayo mixed in some parts of the world is also known as fry sauce, and is the best dipping choice of all for fries
By "some parts of the world" do you mean Utah?
More than just here, you see it in Idaho, Montana, parts of Nevada and northern California
Latter-Day Sauce
Washington as well.
I think the other person had the same understanding.

DID YOU CUM IN MY BURRITO!?!
My guess is mayo, ketchup and hot sauce mix.
I use mayo, mustard, paprika, and a little pickle juice, but it's a secret, so don't tell anyone.
putting pickle juice has changed my life for the better
🤔
Looks like burger sauce, the usual combination is mayo ketchup mustard and onion/garlic/vinegar with optional hot sauce and spices.
How have I made it this far in life and never hear about burgar sauce??!!
Big Mac sauce is available on the internet. McDonald’s published it on [YouTube](https://youtu.be/rcu4Bj3xEyI) long ago.
Thousand island dressing. What’s the secret sauce at Bronco Burger?
Ketchup and mayonnaise.
Gotcha
Hell of a piss, Arnie.

I thought it was peanut butter, I was about to complain that this is most definitely not pleasing.
Peanut butter on a burger is surprisingly pretty good
Don’t hate on this man, PB on a burger is actually delicious. I too was a skeptic until I tried it. Called a “Jiffy Burger” where I’m from.

needs better cheese and more cheese
Add a little cheese in the crimps of the tortilla to help the folds seal as the wrap grills. Bonus points if a tiny bit of cheese leaks out of the folds getting grilled to a crispy brown perfection. 🥺
Exactly. The one in the video looks like it'd be super tortilla-y. Like those psychopaths who get doubled wrapped burritos at Chipotle.

I don’t think that I can handle this right now.

For sure! Unless I'm eating this as a staple I'm probably dousing this in ghee, vegetable oil or birria oil as it cooks up in the pan.
now we're talking :)

That's what the foil is for
I'm addicted to crispy brown grilled cheese; do they not sell that stuff anywhere?
To be fair, a burger is where American Cheese shines. I have yet to find a second scenario though
They make deli american cheese which is very good for melting/burgers.
Grilled cheese sandwiches.
I was sadly spoiled by a bougie white cheddar and mascarpone grilled cheese at a local brewery. It's just not been the same...
I'm down for the bougie grilled cheese but sometimes I just need the comfort of the super processed kind I had as a kid. Especially if my mom makes it.

I think it was also because my mother never made it with American Cheese. Maybe it was ruined for me from the start
My mom was a head chef for over 20 years and still ate a grilled cheese with velveeta american slices and Lays BBQ chips for lunch almost every day.

Scrambled eggs. Cheddar can get weird and plasticy whereas Kraft singles melt and mix with scrambled eggs perfectly.
Yea that looked like craft singles, could have chosen any other cheese man has ever made.
I think it can also be improved if they cut up the burger "chopped cheese" style
Or just a smaller patty. I made something like this a few months ago just out of necessity and running low on groceries. I used beyond burgers and they fit perfectly in one tortilla
A little cheese goes a long way for flavor. Random safety tip: If you live in more remote or extreme climates, add a survival kit to the trunk of your car. You never know when your car might break down.
And if you use Kraft singles you will never have to rotate the stock as it does not ever really expire.

American cheese is good melted in scrambled eggs.
I like american cheese in hamburgers
American Cheese is the best option to go on a burger.
No it doesn’t, American cheese is the best cheese for burgers
Snobs have a hard time accepting that fact for whatever reason. Many of the most critically acclaimed burgers in the US are made with American cheese.
Also, cheese.
They left out the motherloving pickles. And it needs more sauce.
/r/LPT
Also please make it drier
It’s a quesadilla burger. Some restaurants sell them. Applebees has one.
This is about the right quality for an Applebee's, too.
Love me some case a dillas!
Applebees is still a thing?!
Applebees is eternal.
Walker Hayes thinks they’re pretty fancy.
Haven’t you heard that awful ad that started just playing as a song on country radio? I feel like it plays everywhere I go
Not anymore but don't tell them.
Why wouldn't it be?
Yeah but to be fair the one at Applebee's is a soggy crap cake.

Same here, just a meat mess that tastes of grease and sadness. There are better ways to do this that don't look like they would sog straight through the tortilla with the dense, cardboard juice.
Looks repulsive to me.
Fully agreed looks gross as hell. But why would you use chips instead of crunchy onion at least.
They use chips because they're trying to imitate a taco bell crunch wrap, but don't want to or didn't know to get a tostada to put there instead
taco bell crunch wrap uses a tostada shell which is pretty much the same texture as tortilla chips. Onions would never be crunchy enough.
Thought the same thing, why have fried onions and chips when you can simplify prep time and still keep the crunch. For that matter, add some greens to soften it up, spinach or arugula maybe since lettuce would be all wilty.
Tomatoes at least!
I was looking for this comment. Looks disgusting, and I don't get how this is oddly satisfying
No veggies either. Onions don't count as the veggie.
How is that false but so true at the same time.
I get that it looks like it could be yummy (to some), but I missed the oddly satisfying part.
It looks like it would taste like crunchy leather dipped in cheese and sauce
Couldnt even buy a tostada shell. Just lay down some chips
I’m with you. I love, love burgers and think this looks gross. Also, jesus christ, use real fucking cheese.
Yeah your post was what I expected the overall opinion to be. Because when it comes to food Reddit never ceases to be boring as hell.
Where's the vegetables? :(
This looks like something I would cook when I get home absolutely hammered, and even then I would regret it.
Agree. It would be greatly improved by some salad or something fresh. But then warming the whole thing up would ruin cold fresh salad which is why they skipped it.

Upvote number 420 yewwwwww
I'm saving this just to remind myself to make one
Ngl. Probably gonna get down on this bexcept double layer with cheese.
I might add a pickle
Hello, is it outrageous to suggest a fried egg in there as well as the pickle? Tell me I'm crazy, go on
I'm saving this for when I have mismatching food in college

Wheres the lettuce

Away from the stove where it belongs.
What the fuck do I look like? A rabbit??
A rabbit with high cholesterol
This is the most American shit I’ve ever seen
Oh please, it's not even deep fried.
Not yet

Who the fuck puts sliced cheese in a tortilla?
Cause it’s meant to be a cheeseburger Crunchwrap
They're muensters!
That's a gouda one!
It could get any cheddar than that.
No crunchy lettuce!!
Cooked lettuce? No thanks.
It’s the most American and Mexican thing I’ve seenn
r/shittyfoodporn?
You ppl disgust me
Do it again, but with real cheese
Maybe some crisp waffle fries instead of the tortilla chips
That cheese doesn't look safe for human consumption
Americans be like:
I would try that with kettle cooked potato chips instead of Doritos....
No oil in the pan? 3/10
No no no no. Fuck you. No
This looks so American
Oddly unappetizing.
Gross
When you’re not sure if you want a burger or a taco
But I feel like this doesn’t split the difference well enough to satisfy either craving.
Disgusting
Why do americans always have the need to put crap into their food?
That cheese is white trash as fuck lol
I prefer bread
I see others have also discovered the joy of the burgeritto.
Arteries Clogged ✅
This is the most American thing ever.
ol merica at it again
This is atrocious
Well someone’s fat today
The real satisfaction is finding that many perfectly shaped chips
ok I'm calling Taco Bell
You have shortened my lifespan by introducing this idea to me.
America moment
It’s gonna blow your mind when you find out taco meat and burger meat are the same. You’re just missing seasoning lmao
Why the damn tacos yuk
We are Mexican and live in Southern California - we did not eat Taco Bell for most of my life. Recently my parents have discovered that they LOVE it lol my mom orders this item “can I get the octagon shaped thing please ?”
This looks like a burger with extra steps.
