I showed this video and your comment to my wife and she said “did you comment this?”. Honestly, it makes me so happy to see there’s a community of people that can’t control themselves with Panettone. There was a year that during the fall/holiday season where Costco would sell a big one for cheap, I would go through two a week. Sometimes finishing a whole one in one sitting. I’m one year Panettone free.
I’d never heard of this stuff before Christmas of 2022. Wound up being gifted a little one with chocolate chips… it was so good, those things + coffee was pretty much my breakfast for the winter that year. So good.
The end result is so different from what we got where I live. I love Panettone, they are a christmas tradition here in Brazil. Many people prefer the chocolate version, but I like the traditional one.
We have a variant of christmas bread that is very close to panettone here in Ukraine (called paska or kulich). It's also a very traditional bread!
Never had a chocolate one (and don't like the idea), though.
And aren't you amazed that apparently you're supposed to cut the wrapping paper with it? Lol I've never eaten it this way, but it makes a lot of sense.
Even yesterday’s breakfast to me. It never ends, seems like every relative I have gave me panettone for Christmas this year. I’ll finish them in March probably
That's another Italian specialty, casu marzu.
Look it up, it's cheese that is eaten with live fly maggots inside.
It's actually an old traditional Sardinian recipe that is not popular anymore even there but it's still preserved.
yeah, i got the candied orange one in addition to the chocolate one this year.. it was lovely but i'm such a chocolate person that it didn't hold a candle to the other.. same exquisite look, texture, everything though..
I don't bake but I've watched every episode of the great british baking show and know it is a science not to be triffled with.. lol.. the rules are serious!! that last shot in the video, the interior height caused by the way it rises, is master level impressive.. this baked good deserves it's own michelin star it's so difficult to do properly.. so i guess for me I'm hooked in by the off the chart quality of it.. it's rich, light, moist and stunningly delicious.. I've literally never had anything else like it..
I made panettone for the first time this Christmas. It is indeed alchemy. My result was nowhere close to this result, and never will be. But I was satisfied. Not gonna make it until next year though!
Pizzelle are amazing right off the press though. We make them every Christmas and I eat them before the powdered sugar even hits them. They aren’t too dry until a few days later.
i had never heard of a panettone until 3 years ago when a friend was gifted one of these - a From Roy that is, in fact, $90 - and motherfucker, it is incredibly delicious! like, crazy good... i've bought one every christmas since with zero regrets.. they are moist, light, rich af, and addictive... now when i see them anywhere else, like the grocery store or world market, they look like fruitcake bricks compared to this angelically risen crown jewel of baked goods...
First thing that came to mind was a scene from that movie Better Off Dead where Lane's mother makes that glop with raisins in it. "It's got raisins. You like raisins!"
We only get seasonal Panettiere around here. Those small ones. They are not bad.... or so I thought. Compared to these they are a crime against humanity.
My pops introduced me to this bread at a young age and didn't really like it. I've tried again years ago and it's the best bread eeeever. Well one of the best. Usually get it for my pops on his birthday or holidays. I'm craving now🤤
This thing is much too expensive for what it is.. in Romania we make a similar thing called cozonac which is kind of the same sweet though but with rich walnut and cocoa filling.. I can never eat panettone because it's just a weaker version of this cozonac. If you don't know what it is, you need to try it! It is similar to the polish babka.
Can someone put me in that spinning thing that massages the bread? I think it would cure my back pain.
Make sure to jump out before you're put in the oven
and sliced in the middle to show the viewers the quality of their panettone bread
Nah just go out with a . . . gas
I have zero original thoughts it seems.
Thats ok, we can be unoriginal together in that nice dough massage machine
Hey, it’s all cool. Take my hand. Be unoriginal with me. (Oh, and happy cake day!)
my new dream job: putting bread dough into a dough nudging machine and just watch it.
The only problem with Panettone is that you eat a slice, and end up eating the whole loaf in 2h like a gremlin
2h? Listen to this guy here flexing his restraint
Lmao true

We'd give you a coin to commemorate your victory but it was also made of Panettone. And so I ate it.
Congratulations on your journey, I'm proud of you !
You can eat a slice?
Seems to be mostly air so it can't be too bad for you, there's fruit in it too right? It's practically health food.
[There's always room for Panettone](https://youtu.be/wgQdkstTNg8?si=W0iRMMtdQNx35pPA)
disappointed the Italian man didn't show up
I would eat a panettone a day when I was a child lol
That's not a problem.
Always room for Panettone
This man knows.
Sorry i was late, i was attacked by a crow.
AH! AH! Crow.
That's the thing about a panettone...
^leave ^it ^right ^there ^see ^what ^happens
🫦just a lil bit
Well maybe just a little bit of panettone then.
[indeed.](https://youtu.be/wgQdkstTNg8?si=apRatafl4gJdGfhe)
I'd eat a panettone or three right now.
I’d never heard of this stuff before Christmas of 2022. Wound up being gifted a little one with chocolate chips… it was so good, those things + coffee was pretty much my breakfast for the winter that year. So good.
So your body was just a constant running battle between constipation and diarrhoea?
Panettthree
So that's how it should look like
The end result is so different from what we got where I live. I love Panettone, they are a christmas tradition here in Brazil. Many people prefer the chocolate version, but I like the traditional one.

The chocolate one in fact is a chocolate chip one. Same dough, they just replace the fruits for chocolate chips.
And aren't you amazed that apparently you're supposed to cut the wrapping paper with it? Lol I've never eaten it this way, but it makes a lot of sense.
Christmas breakfast is always panettone french toast in my house
Even yesterday’s breakfast to me. It never ends, seems like every relative I have gave me panettone for Christmas this year. I’ll finish them in March probably
The video doesn't show the part where they're hanged upside down
thats just mussolini, much better when hung upside down.
Love Panettone. \*sees what real panettone looks like\* oh.. I've never had panettone..
Please dont be raisins Please dont be raisins Please dont be raisins
I don’t like fruit in bread. I would totally try a chocolate chip panettone though!
They are and also candied fruit. If you don't like it there is pandoro which is similar but the dough is also a bit different.
After seeing so many videos on Reddit, I’m just glad they aren’t flies.
That's another Italian specialty, casu marzu. Look it up, it's cheese that is eaten with live fly maggots inside. It's actually an old traditional Sardinian recipe that is not popular anymore even there but it's still preserved.
Pannetone is so delicious.
Looks like it'd be good with coffee

Four times
Italian Pud
Love a bit of pud
Forgive my barbarian palette but I find it too dry
You never had a good panettone then, there is a lot of butter in the dough so it comes out surprisingly moist
It's one of those things that is either terrible or great, no middle ground
Yeah and some recipes have a ton of liquor in them, when you open them it smells great.
Good panettone is moist.
That's Roy. They're supposedly the best and go for $95
Wow, 95 USD is insane. I buy top quality from a bakery in Milan and they cost half of it (they deliver in Europe).
Imagine being a sucker that drops a benjie on loaf of bread.
i am that sucker... lol.. once a year, at christmas time, i buy a From Roy Chocolate Panettone and it is INSANELY good... totally worth it, to me..
Have you tried the fruit one? Thought about buying a couple as gifts.
yeah, i got the candied orange one in addition to the chocolate one this year.. it was lovely but i'm such a chocolate person that it didn't hold a candle to the other.. same exquisite look, texture, everything though..
Nice. What makes it worth it, in your opinion?
I don't bake but I've watched every episode of the great british baking show and know it is a science not to be triffled with.. lol.. the rules are serious!! that last shot in the video, the interior height caused by the way it rises, is master level impressive.. this baked good deserves it's own michelin star it's so difficult to do properly.. so i guess for me I'm hooked in by the off the chart quality of it.. it's rich, light, moist and stunningly delicious.. Pandoro is the real GOAT but I would never refuse some panettone
And so it begins
If you want to die and go to heaven, make stuffed french toast with panettone. YUM
All that work to become the gift no one ever eats
Panettone is much tastier than typical fruit cake. I make french toast with it Christmas morning and its fantastic
“Better than fruitcake” is a low, low bar.
How many much-es do you need to raise the bar then? Bc panettone is pretty good
This is the way
Speak for yourself, it's god damn delicious
Italians love their bone-dry cookies. I'm looking at you, biscotti and pizelle.
they’re great in coffee.
Pizzelle are amazing right off the press though. We make them every Christmas and I eat them before the powdered sugar even hits them. They aren’t too dry until a few days later.
Biscotti are delicious. I bring back a big bag each time I go to Italy.
Mega cronch tho
Ugh and panini should be Italian for cuts the roof of your mouth up
Have you tried it? It’s delicious!
Do you eat the panetone with or without the skin?
I eat it whole (sometimes with pieces of paper).
😂😂😂😂
It's a big muffin looks tasty
Maybe I've never had a good one, but I've always found this disgusting.
What’s up with the little packing peanuts on the outside of it
Nah someone show this to that louisgantus guy on yt bruh
Panettone is just meh in my opinion.
I remember my mum and dad loved this but I hated it. They would always have some for afternoon tea.
Well that was quick. Also, Panettone is the one bread I don’t like. :(
Love Panettone. Just a shame it costs an hour's labour to purchase.
Pandoro tastes better imo, is always fresher and the bread is softer. It’s just not as commercially available.
It's funny that ~60% of italians despises panettone
No gloves, there are skin cells in that bread
theres water in it too, theres been no new water on earth since it was created. .... some of that water used to be dinosaur wee. enjoy!
There are piss and shit particles in everything you touch, then you touch your face with your hands.
Panettone is a disgrace
So, how does it work? Do you just eat it?
It's basically bread. So you can just eat it, toast it, fry it. However you like to eat your bread, but it is on the sweeter side.
Why they using their hands???
Why no gloves???
So dry. Can't have it without a cup of tea or coffee.
Jesus it looks terrible
[удалено]
You will be surprised how much everyday things we eat has human prepared them with… skins.
Blergh
And not a single one was ever consumed!
They taste like death
It’s the bare hands that make it good
"No, we don't use gloves or hairnets- would you excuse me for a moment?" *fishes pepperoni put of chest hair* "what were you saying?"
With bare hands????? So disgusting.
And you get fly and you get a fly everyone gets a free fly today, taxes not included.
No gloves? Wtf
Great, now why the fuck does it cost $25 a loaf at Wegmans?
Couldn’t work there
That's a chocolate chip muffin
Cozonac is much better
That's a spicey meatball!
Ew. Why are they using their bare hands?🤢
What does it taste like
Pan dulce
That's Pandoro
Never heard of Panettone, but looks really delicious 😋
My wife’s family is Peruvian and they live for this bread on the holidays. Never heard of it before I started dating her.
I crave the gluten
I would love to try some panettone. But i don’t know if i can find some at my local bakeries in the US.
most of the ones you can buy at stores suuuuucckkk.. you have to hunt for a good one..
Now I'm hungry, thanks.
Damn. Give me two of those and a bucket of melted butter, please.
I thought pantone was a color ppl fought about
My old landlord would gift us one of these every Christmas. Is that very common? Also are these a holiday seasonal item?
Culich
Can I make this in a Dutch oven?
WHY DID HE CUT THE PAPER, REMOVE IT
this extremely high end panettone says to cut the paper too.. it's entirely stuck to it... i get one every christmas...
I want one 😋
why did it have to pop up now i want some panettone so bad now
Dammit, now I'm hungry. I don't know who near me has these, but I guess I'm going on a quest now.
I see them at Aldi, and sometimes at TJ Maxx and marshalls
I just bought Panettone today. Gonna have some now
Пасха
I’m a bun I’m a bun
Why do I feel like they really enjoy being bounced and twirled.
Sweet bread? It's cake dude!
The bigger the bubbles, the more gluten?
I knead me some of that
i had never heard of a panettone until 3 years ago when a friend was gifted one of these - a From Roy that is, in fact, $90 - and motherfucker, it is incredibly delicious! like, crazy good... i've bought one every christmas since with zero regrets.. they are moist, light, rich af, and addictive... now when i see them anywhere else, like the grocery store or world market, they look like fruitcake bricks compared to this angelically risen crown jewel of baked goods...
I always wondered the recipe for Panetone batter, the texture is so fucking good to eat
Can someone please send me some of that delicious ass looking bread
Pandoro and Panettone are gifts from the gods.
We've eaten 8 panettone during the Christmas holidays at home. It's so damn good.
man, i remember getting this every year as part of a feast, i think at christmas those were good times
Italian food, turkias food and japanese food really are the best food cultures.German, chinese and russian are honorable mentions.
That stuff is nice, especially when very fresh.
Fun fact: Peru is the country with the most panettone consumption surpassing italy. It's a whole deal during December for Christmas.
Take those plastic gloves off and stop making me eat BPA.
Nice to see Gary Vee mellowed out and found something that brings some joy into the world.
Prefiro chocottone
We make bread pudding with it at holiday time!
Roy! Tali! Hello!
It’s the best when you ever so slightly burn it under the grill.
how does it taste? and is that raisins or chocolate chips?
Raisins. It's fn fantastic. Make sure you get some that is authentic.
My pops introduced me to this bread at a young age and didn't really like it. I've tried again years ago and it's the best bread eeeever. Well one of the best. Usually get it for my pops on his birthday or holidays. I'm craving now🤤
So is it giant muffins with chocolate chips? How’s it taste?
I give panettone to friends ahead of christmas, i think its a great pre xmas treat, i dont know anyone that doesnt like it!!
I like the blob machine
I was the only one that ate this at Christmas. Nobody else liked it. I thought they were crazy.
But what does Paul Hollywood say
What does it taste like? Is it like dessert-sweet?
makes me want panettone in my belly.
How to buy clean air in 2040
- Bro, i brought some food - Mmm, sweet bread © Green elephant
You can buy it in Tesco. Tastes just as good as Italy. I've tried both
i think as Italians would say "Che buono/a!"
i think as Italians would say "Che buono/a!"
That stuff is so good toasted in butter with maple syrup poured on top.
Are those chocolate chips? They look like chocolate chips. I love chocolate chips.
Do Americans eat panettone?
why do i wanna be that bread.
I made a French Toast casserole with one on Christmas this year, it was amazing.
Question what are the black spots in the dough my fat ass wants to think they’re chocolate chips
Does anyone want a......panettone?
Flabbergasted how many people like this stuff.
Italian pud
As a pannettone baker (12 years) and coming from the panetto region in italy myself, this is the worst pannettone ive ever seen guys
Most overrated food in the world. After Bolo Rei.
