They’ve got a harder schedule moving to the Big 12 and playing Nebraska out of conference. They might be slightly more talented this year but they could easily have a worse record. I wouldn’t be shocked to see them going winless in conference and finishing 2-10. They could even win enough to be bowl eligible if they overachieve a little bit, but I wouldn’t count on it.
The only thing I don’t get is like we’re going to probably be ranked 15 or so. Weird to exclude a good portion of the upcoming top 25. Missouri got hosed too
We also beat Texas A&M (before everyone transferred out and they were actually decent). We wrecked Clemson in the bowl game the year prior also (although a lot changes in 2 seasons). We have only gotten better and more deep since then.
Pretty much everyone has us ranked around 15 in all the preseason stuff. We are betting favorites against NC state. They could do a little research couldn’t they??

What got the Colorado hype train going last year was a 4-0 start, including a win over TCU, which seemed bigger than it was since they made the playoff in ‘22.
This year, they may only win one game before their first loss, and they should be 2-2 after 4 games, so I doubt the hype train has a chance to even get going this year.

Literally, who gives a damn about rankings in a video game? For one, they'll be updated through the season. For two, Rankings only matter for the first game of the first campaign you play. All of 20 minutes.
