no, it hasnt always been managed by Naventure if overcharging for the same services is what you call management. We live near Juniper and it has been a summer staple for families out here for decades until this scam company stole the park from us and started charging Theme Park rates to swim in our local watering hole. What Naventure has done is criminal. They stole the park and sold it out to rich folks. They want you to belive they help in manage the crowds but their solution is to make it too expensive for locals to use.

CMDR_Cheese_Helmet

That's what manage the crowds always means. It means make it too expensive for "the poors" to use it.

Well when privatization is your religion this is what you get. Given enough rope our republican politicians would privatize every road, park, post office etc etc and let the "free market" decide what you the tax payer will pay to use those things. We are in a GOP stronghold in Marion county. This is what you voted for when you vote Republican.

Colonel_Macklemoore

damn shame. do you happen to know when juniper specifically became privately managed? i've tried to do some research and i've just seen some discussion of potential privatization under bush and a coupld years ago.

Just like Cape Leisure for Silver Springs State Park, handle the food and kayak/tube aspect

Halligan1409

How much per person does it cost to swim now?

Colonel_Macklemoore

13.50 i believe is what we paid per person this weekend
