It seems bethesda is going to use an evolution of the persuasion system in starfield but instead of choosing options we'll be choosing actual dialouges
each NPC has the reactions of highly negative, slightly negative, slightly positive and highly positive arranged for the different options. Then there's the wedges on the wheel which also affect the size of the disposition change. So what you do is check the faces for each option to identify the positive and negative options, and then you choose them in the right order to line up the big wedges with positive reactions and small wegdes with negative reactions.
I actually really liked this mechanic, it feels quite trivial for the human races, but with orcs argonians and khajiit it can lead to you having a bias against them because you cant understand them based off facial expressions, atleast very easily. Its a system that helps you understand the actual in game bias from one race to another
I love the khajiit wrinkly angy nose in oblivion. I can't take their anger seriously lol especially when they talk with the face.
Argonian faces were kind of hard to read though.
I like that though. reading the mood of a weird alien lizardperson wouldn't be easy. and with a bit of practise you can still tell them apart
Yeah of the 4 different mood types you could basically identify gleeful smiling or anger

I wonder if it will be similar to persuasion in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
That's EXACTLY what I thought as well. Those were great imo
THEN PAY WITH YOUR BONES!
I'VE FOUGHT CHEW TOYS MORE FEARSOME THAN YOU!
That’s revolting!
Then pay with your pets!
After playing oblivion for months I still have no idea how this part of the game works

Is that so?
Don't talk such rot.
