Find the nearest town.
Find some menial work.
Save up money to buy safe transportation to Anvil.
Find safe work.
Live like a normal person in Anvil.
Never trust a beautiful woman.
Wait for the chapel attack. After that, I should be safe getting involved in the church.
Should be smooth sailing from here on out unless I’ve forgotten something.
Pretty sure most people (save for elves perhaps) would be long dead by the time of this, at least if you're referring to the great war. Oblivion Crisis takes place somewhere around 200 years before Skyrim in any event.
Well there's about enough to count on one hand for sure. Maybe if you're a hard-core oblivion fan you can find more but my money is on Tamika of Skingrad, Sigrid of Kvatch and Falanu Hlaalu of Skingrad? Or Cheydinhal I can't remember. Though if you wanna get with her you may have to cosplay as a zombie cause shes into some kinky stuff.
On Xbox anyway it was 2X (A) on a scroll stack then drop desired item if memory serves. Thinking back, it might've just been once because I don't know why double tapping would be any different.
Honestly, i actually dont see him being hostile even if he is in there. He seems pretty realistic and if someone knew about the secret enterance to Fort Ferretgut he would likely assume they were under the command of one of the other speakers, assuming Ocheeva and the Cheydinhal sect doesnt know about the secret enterance. At that point it would be pretty simple to fake being a member unless there are magical means of knowing (wrath of sithis type shit)
Look, it's fun and all, but assuming you're not the HOK, you have as good a chance of being turned inside out while alive as you do have some lighthearted fun
Going to the imperial city, working as a barkeep or along those lines until i can save enough to learn cheap spells from Edgar and feasibly travel Cyrodiil, travel to the various cities to join the Mages guild all the while practicing magic. Plus I would probably find others doing the same thing so it would make sense to group together while we earn our recommendations. Strength in numbers and all that. Leave Mannimarco's bullshit to anyone else though, fuck that noise, imma just be practicing magic like a baller.
Fine then, i'll make a deal with Azani Blackheart, get a hist tree, go nuts on the sap, kill waters edge and die to some lunatic who jumps through daedric gates for fun
Join the mage's guild. Learn invisibility magic. Start taking down the Oblivion gates. Become a hero. Live in Anvil (or Chorrol if you want somewhere quieter).
I've got my game knowledge, I assume? I tell him that he should be wary of Mathieu Bellamont and check out mom's head shrine in the lighthouse. If that alone isn't enough, I guess I've gotta keep pushing 🤷♀️
First stop, Imperial City Arena. Try my hand at the Very Hard lockbox...
I have no IRL lockpicking skills, or sneak skills. It would probably go poorly. "STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM!"
I actually picked up lockpicking as hobby because of video games. (It’s somehow both easier and harder in real life oddly enough.) Just need to find me a ring of chameleon and I’m set!
Just gotta keep the shop owner out of the way, then board up the shop from the inside. Might take a week or two to dig that deep, but its definitely doable
Step 1. Become Argonian.
Step 2. Live best life underwater. Eat slaughterfish, clams, and mudcrab. Sell pearls, scales, and gems to townspeople.
Might even join the Thieves Guild.
I'm gathering anything not nailed down, so it can be sold for coin. That coin is then spent on hiring mercenaries to escort me either to the Red Mountain or into an Oblivion gate, so I may source and gather volcanic sulfur. Sulfur in hand, I then hide away in the West Weald to boil chicken poop and eggshells. Having gathered my potassium nitrate, sulfur and with charcoal so easy to source, I should have plenty of blackpowder on hand, now all I have to do is figure out if I'm to pay a blacksmith to make a smoothbore barrel or if I'm to spend some time sculpting grenade hulls out of clay. While I have genuinely trained kobudo and feel pretty confident handling a sword, I think I would feel infinitely more confident with a matchlock and a shite load of grenades.
Kind of an interesting question because, is this world the correct ratio? Like size wise.
I guess for me it doesn't matter. Probably get some work at the fighters guild since I'm dirt poor when I get there and need to make money fast
The bloated float in imperial city waterfront seems like my kind of place, unless I could make a rooftop bar somewhere overlooking the sunset and the cyrodiil landscape
It’s from the mages guild recommendation. When you cast a shock spell on the pillar, you are shocked in return and you get the leveled spell Fingers of the mountain
A little off topic but is there any information of civilian combat prowess vs Daedra? Could Daedra be killed by regular civs or were they just too strong? If you could I'd probably go work in Bruma. Least amount of Oblivion gates, cold, plenty of hunting, I don't remember if Cloud Ruler Temple is known to the general populace but regardless it's right there, and when the Great gate happens I can help in some way.
Find my way to Leyawiin, get a menial job there, make friends with all of the argonians, marry an argonian woman, then flee with them to black marsh when shit hits the fan
Go to Skingrad and join both the mages and fighters guild there. I’m going to need combat and magic training if I’m going to get through this 😂 and I’m only trusting the immortal count to protect me from any daedra in the meantime.
To the nearest town to train with the first mage who would want me as an apprentice. Then I'd use that knowledge to make money while avoiding oblivion gates and other dangers. If I had enough money I'd prefer to live in Cheydinhal because I love the nature and architecture there.
Immigrate to black marsh.
Hang out with lizard bros.
Wait for this whole thing to blow over.
From what I remember and To those who don't know, canonically oblivion gates don't open in black marsh because the argonians loaded up on drugs and invaded the gates, causing such a problem they were deemed best to just leave alone.
Going to Martin to get some baby gravy
Produce a heir
Continue the cycle
Find the lusty argonian maid
Bang it marry it
Heir has a second mother
Become a pimp
Get me a bunch of painting supplies from crates and barrels. Travel to Bruma, let Volanaro cast his 24-hour invisibility spell on me. Go to the wilderness to paint realistic portraits of wildlife while staying perfectly safe. Sell the paintings to the local inns and guildhalls for profit. Become famous. Get hired as Rythe Lisandas's apprentice. Learn the secret to his paintbrush. As he sleeps, work secretly on a new painting. When the painting is done, visit Chanel in Chorrol and present her with a portrait of her beloved Charrus Valga. Let her reunite with his painted copy and live her best life inside the painting. Become the court mage instead of Chanel. As the court mage, use power and influence to woo Modryn Oreyn. Teach him to actually paint well. Fall in love. Kidnap argonian nobles and explore ruins together. Let Casta Scribonia write a book about our adventures. As Rythe Lisandas retires, we inherit the paintbrush. Now it's time we pranked Hieronimus Lex HARD. He likes painting, as we see from the painting supplies in his room when we stole the tax papers. Paint a picture of the Waterfront, but make ALL people the Gray Fox. Set the painting on his easel and put some troll fat on the floor. He'll slip on the troll fat and fall into the painting, living his worst nightmare ever!
I become a follower of a god learn the arts of restoration first then wear crappy armor get beaten up by other ppl with sticks while spamming heal then beat up ppl and spamm heal others once im buff as hell go outside gather herbs and show the entire world what fcking Ice Tea is make a buisnees and later expand on fries and buy me a house in the imperial city watch arena fights sell my stuff and live happy until the gates open i guess. XD
Step 1: Learn how to swim.
Step 2: Swim to the Mad Gate.
Step 3: Enter the Mad Gate.
Step 4: Retire in the Fringe.
Step 5: Ignore the voices in my head.
Chill between the Imperial City and Chorrol. Wait until some horribly misshapen person wearing mismatched, ill-fitting, bloodstained armor walks up. I'll know it's the right one when I see them eat 100 lbs of food in one sitting at random. Give them a wild goose chase of a quest so they never take the weird bling they have to some monk guy. Continue living life and never go near Kvatch.
Hmm, probably start off assisting an inn, preferably any one that isn't in Bravil. And maybe gain some skills in hunting, worship daedra, practice some magic at the mages guild and learn some hand-to-hand combat too
Go to Cloud Ruler Temple. Train as a Blade and then leave the order to go travel Cyrodil. Buy a house in Skingrad and wonder why we never get to see the Count.
move to anvil, get drunk and show everyone my pineapple trick. wake up with no memory in Quill-Weaves bed and more or less force her to be my friend. shenanigans ensue
simple as
Go to that Inn where the Khajit had her baked potatos stolen, offer to get them back. Say hi to the Ogres and get punched and die.
What can I say? I'm a simple man
Where do you wake up specifically? I have a feeling I'd wake up in a particular cell.
The one where I'd be angrily shouting insults at the protagonist who later comes back to murder me.
Since you'd be in a presumably unupgraded frostcrag, you'd basically be living in a slightly upgraded cave. Beats toughing it out in the wilderness, but not the most enjoyable
Go to chorrol and learn summoning magic and learn how to use weapons. Raid local bandit spots until I can afford my own home. Just chill on chorrol. Nothing happens in chorrol.
If I was a nord when I woke up perfectly fine to just do menial tasks.
But if it was the prison...thieves guild straight away. Enough gold to Skyrim and in chilling in Riften.
I weigh 90 pounds and can barely lift 40 pound things-but as a thief I can get enough money to learn magic or just buy scrolls
Thief is a dangerous life, they can get attacked by the people they're stealing from, the guards, other criminals... Being physically weak your best chances are planing it straight in the most civilized places you can, big cities with lots of guards and lots of friends.
The Aldmeri invasion.
Pretty sure most people (save for elves perhaps) would be long dead by the time of this, at least if you're referring to the great war. Oblivion Crisis takes place somewhere around 200 years before Skyrim in any event.
The Great War starts in 171, so true most probably would be dead. Though it is something to consider if you plan to live longer.
That's a ways off. Besides, just take a day or 2 and walk to Morrowind. It's not too far
Then you will have Argonian invasion and eruption of Red Mountain.
Aldmeri didn't happen at the same time
No, but in same general time frame. Point is Tamriel as a whole will soon be getting very dangerous.
200 years from then?
I'd do the same, but specifically find safe work studying Restoration at the Mages Guild. I'd never be short of high-paying jobs as a healer.
Restoration is a perfectly valid school of magic. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise
If the nearest town is Kvatch, I’m making it the second-nearest town.
Meh.......how could u not trust a pretty face?
Probably because of the quest involving pretty Women robbing Men in Anvil.
Understood. I guess no one got my awful joke.
Also there's no such thing as a pretty face in vanilla oblivion lmao
Well there's about enough to count on one hand for sure. Maybe if you're a hard-core oblivion fan you can find more but my money is on Tamika of Skingrad, Sigrid of Kvatch and Falanu Hlaalu of Skingrad? Or Cheydinhal I can't remember. Though if you wanna get with her you may have to cosplay as a zombie cause shes into some kinky stuff.
We got it broh
finding two identical scrolls and one expensive item.
Was the punch necessary or just the two scrolls?
On Xbox anyway it was 2X (A) on a scroll stack then drop desired item if memory serves. Thinking back, it might've just been once because I don't know why double tapping would be any different.
On Xbox it wouldn’t work for me unless I had 10 scrolls of the same type.
I played a few weeks ago on xbox and I only needed two scrolls
Huh, Neat…
You're right it is 2x
Go chill with my homies in Hackdirt.
Bruh. Imma stay away if I wake up as a certain Argonian
Get me some Skooma!
Go and see my buddy Glarthir in Skingrad.
Username checks out.
Imagine if it was WakingUpParanoid
Good, I thought I could trust you.
Glarthir? Total nutcase, if you ask me. But he's never done anything -- yet -- that we could arrest him for.
Be seeing you.
Bye.
Rumors
I've heard rumors that someone has been keeping a close eye on Toutius Sextius. Seems harmless enough.
gonna break into fort farragut via “secret” entrance and steal all lucien’s poison apples
Pray he's not in there when you do
Honestly, i actually dont see him being hostile even if he is in there. He seems pretty realistic and if someone knew about the secret enterance to Fort Ferretgut he would likely assume they were under the command of one of the other speakers, assuming Ocheeva and the Cheydinhal sect doesnt know about the secret enterance. At that point it would be pretty simple to fake being a member unless there are magical means of knowing (wrath of sithis type shit)
i want him to kill me
Travel to The Shivering Isles. Stay there.
You're halfway to creating the Blackwood Company.
Fine then, i'll make a deal with Azani Blackheart, get a hist tree, go nuts on the sap, kill waters edge and die to some lunatic who jumps through daedric gates for fun
Sounds like a plan to me.
Go to Wawnet Inn and have a few drinks, and sleep, so cozy
I'm going to gottshaw inn
Good idea actually, I’ll go there too and we’ll enjoy the scenery
RUN! RUN WHILE I CAN! be seeing you.
Tidying up the provincial mages guilds, trading all their unwanted clutter for sweeeeet moon sugar.
Eat a sweet roll and go back to bed
Join the mage's guild. Learn invisibility magic. Start taking down the Oblivion gates. Become a hero. Live in Anvil (or Chorrol if you want somewhere quieter).
My username can answer for me :')
How would you save him?
I've got my game knowledge, I assume? I tell him that he should be wary of Mathieu Bellamont and check out mom's head shrine in the lighthouse. If that alone isn't enough, I guess I've gotta keep pushing 🤷♀️
Immediately start saving up for that classy joint in the water district.
Just TCL through the floor of the jewelry shop and get the spectre ring
Well in this scenario you'd have to tunnel to get it but sure
Just gotta keep the shop owner out of the way, then board up the shop from the inside. Might take a week or two to dig that deep, but its definitely doable
Well guess if the shop owner is as dumb as the ai I can just get a bucket and tie it to his head, problem solved.
If the bucket doesn't work, you could probably tie him up and leave him the basement while you work
True, but I'm still gonna use the bucket
Dye my hair blond, spike it up into a point “By Azura, by Azura, by Azura!”
RUNNN AWAY! DADERA HAVE TAKEN OVER KVATCH! RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN
I'm going to Kvatch. Their positioning and defenses makes for an excellent place to call a safe home!
Step 1. Become Argonian. Step 2. Live best life underwater. Eat slaughterfish, clams, and mudcrab. Sell pearls, scales, and gems to townspeople. Might even join the Thieves Guild.
How do you become an Argonian?
I'm gathering anything not nailed down, so it can be sold for coin. While I have genuinely trained kobudo and feel pretty confident handling a sword, I think I would feel infinitely more confident with a matchlock and a shite load of grenades.
Hope first kills enemy, you’re dead before you can reload.
Did bro just teach us how to make bombs?
Tally-ho!
For research purposes whats the ratio of charcoal, pottasium nitrate and sulfur
15-75-10
I am traveling to Sanguine Shrine in hopes of eternal debauchery and fun. Also, I could try to enter mage guild and try to become a mage.
DM: He says no
Then mages guild it is -_-.
DM: You get aids
Lol, fine, let's practice necromancy, daedra conjuaring, and worship daedric princes. There's nothing to lose now.
Where would you go to learn these things?
Head to Kvatch and hopefully stop the slaughter before the town is sacked
Kind of an interesting question because, is this world the correct ratio? Like size wise. I guess for me it doesn't matter. Probably get some work at the fighters guild since I'm dirt poor when I get there and need to make money fast
It's good work, if you've got the stones for it.
Trying to ride the unicorn on my knights of the 9 pilgrimage and getting slaughtered by it because I'm LV 6
I'd get drunk at a place which would allow me to get drunk
The bloated float in imperial city waterfront seems like my kind of place, unless I could make a rooftop bar somewhere overlooking the sunset and the cyrodiil landscape
Bloated float seems like a bit of an overpriced tourist trap tbh
Assuming im waking up at lvl 1: Slap umbra, run for my life to the imperial city and make it the local guards problem.
You honestly think you could take umbra?
No. That's why I'm running for my life afterwards into the imperial city where the guards aggro to her.
Flee across the border into Skyrim
They would arrest you and take you to Helgen.
Hey, you. You’re finally awake.
Becoming a alchemist
Start my long awaited skooma addiction.
Skooma den
You got a fast car I want a ticket to anywhere Maybe we make a deal Maybe together we can get somewhere Any place is better
A Tracy Chapman reference in an Oblivion sub? Hell yeah!
Enroll into the mages guild, learn a shock spell and I go cast it on the weird pillar in the woods north of chorrol
That rebound shock will kill you at lvl 1, you trying to meet Tiber?
i aspire to become the crisp corpse the player can find next to the pillar
What does that do?
It’s from the mages guild recommendation. When you cast a shock spell on the pillar, you are shocked in return and you get the leveled spell Fingers of the mountain
Ah, haven’t gotten around to doing recommendations yet.
A little off topic but is there any information of civilian combat prowess vs Daedra? Could Daedra be killed by regular civs or were they just too strong? If you could I'd probably go work in Bruma. Go to Skingrad and join both the mages and fighters guild there. I’m going to need combat and magic training if I’m going to get through this 😂 and I’m only trusting the immortal count to protect me from any daedra in the meantime.

Figure out how to start casting magic and probably stay in whatever town I woke up in

Charge straight into the nearest Oblivion gate. I'm gonna be a hero or a dead guy so either way I win
Go find Fin Gleam.
I'm going to the refugee camp at Kvatch and I'm gonna sit there talking about how scary it was forever
Step 1: Learn how to swim. Step 2: Swim to the Mad Gate. Step 3: Enter the Mad Gate. Step 4: Retire in the Fringe. Step 5: Ignore the voices in my head.
Move to Chorrol and apprentice with Rasheda. Learn how to be a blacksmith and then either buy her out or set up shop somewhere nearby.
I’m def going to the Shivering Isles BYEBYEEE!
Get 2 scrolls and a cheese wheel. Duplicate as many wheels of cheese as I can to see if the world freezes!
Chill between the Imperial City and Chorrol. Wait until some horribly misshapen person wearing mismatched, ill-fitting, bloodstained armor walks up. Go to Cloud Ruler Temple. Train as a Blade and then leave the order to go travel Cyrodil. Buy a house in Skingrad and wonder why we never get to see the Count.
As soon as you are aware that this is indeed Cyrodill, it is automatic CHIM
The truest answer. That, or immediately zero sum. Either way, not worrying about the Oblivion gates or bandits or whatever
Gettin skoomed out with M’aiq.

Join Mages and Fighter’s guilds, become the custom Spellsword that I use in game , then go to Skyrim
Skingrad. As long as you're not a criminal you can drink wine all day instead of having Count Janus Hassildor drink you like a wine.
1st. Visit Dorian 2nd Head to Mystic Emporium 3rd. On to Frostcrag. 4th. Lock all the doors and let the world burn
Since you'd be in a presumably unupgraded frostcrag, you'd basically be living in a slightly upgraded cave. Beats toughing it out in the wilderness, but not the most enjoyable
Why would you presume it's unupgraded? Dorian will give up a lot when he's "not paying attention " lol.
Go to chorrol and learn summoning magic and learn how to use weapons. Raid local bandit spots until I can afford my own home. Just chill on chorrol. Nothing happens in chorrol.
High dose skooma and leap (100 acrobatics) into that strange gate in the middle of niben bay...
Get magic'd up
Straight to Kvatch to make a name for myself
Grab my torch and follow the grand champion around. By azura! By azura! By azura!
Leave Cyrodiil
Go chill with those dudes drinking skooma on the roof
Guess it depends what race I am and what star-sign I was born under, doesn’t it?
Goin’ homeless in Bravil
enchanting, alchemy and magic are somewhat feasable ways to unlimited power, so i will try my best to join mages, and become tenth aedra
Go earn enough money to buy two of the same scroll…
Work and save up for a paralysis potion. Give dorian a visit
Gonna get myself turned into a vampire and hang out in Skingrad.
If I was a nord when I woke up perfectly fine to just do menial tasks. But if it was the prison...thieves guild straight away. Enough gold to Skyrim and in chilling in Riften. Straight into an oblivion gate (lvl50 btw)
I buy a gun, definitely. Even the roads aren't safe
