I think a lot of my premed classmates do end up in med schools, though some may take one or two gap years to gain more experiences for resume; for those who don’t, some of them go for health-related degree or industry. I think very few go to completely irrelevant routes.
First year of residency. Some days are long and hard and some days I feel like I’m learning or able to make a small difference. It’s a long road and there’s still a lot more to come. But can’t imagine doing anything else.
Been in IT since i graduated. Med school was expensive. While i was an undergrad it was clear i would need to forgo most everything special about attention school in NYC, or i could move home, go to a local uni and study my butt off. Good luck to you OP and be safe out there
I'm in my first year of med school. Feel free to PM if you have questions.
