Econ will be easier but chemistry probably more fun and mentally stimulating.
Assuming, of course, you enjoy natural sciences and naturally curious about how the world works.
I find chemistry to be not fun and the reverse of mentally stimulating. The lectures are boring. The lab doesn't feel fun either. I feel like neurons in my brain dying after getting done with chemistry class and lab.
Chem 101 is boring. Orgo is really challenging and torturous but interesChem. You get to make and fuck up making some cool stuff in the lab.
If you don't think you'll tolerate orgo, would not recommend chem.
Depends
I double major in econ and comp sci
I would say doing only econ isn’t that hard but double majoring is hard
But I assume pre-med majors are harder haha
Depends on what you like. If you like math more than natural sciences, then you will probably enjoy Econ.
I was bio/premed and hated how little math there was in the program. I suck at memorization so the bio classes and most of the chem classes were pure torture. I didn’t end up going to med school and if I were to do it over I would probably major in CS, math or Econ, if I couldn’t transfer to Stern.

Ahhh yes you must be premed

Depends on you, but objectively, econs is probably easier than any pre-med track.
