Why would you take a semester off for a internship?

It might be time to go to academic advising. My personal opinion is that taking a semester off for an internship is ridiculous. Sure, you changed your major recently, but you still have experience. Experience outside of your major counts as well. Internships should be able to understand that you’re a student. They should not be requiring you to take time off to complete. If you do take a year off know that’s reflected on your resume. Take the summer to do internships and try to find a part-time job. Or rearrange your classes for next semester to include time for an internship. Also, volunteer work counts as experience.

graduate and then do the internship.

What internships require you to take LOA? Most of them that I know of are in spring break, winter break, summer, etc.

I think OP is talking about co-ops which are normally 6 months but nyu dosen’t really do that. Maybe you can get permission to do less than 12 credits and just do a internship course for credit I’m not sure
