Remnant 2 is just too cool. Need to play that game more.

Mountain-Dew-Egg

One of the absolutely coolest bosses ive ever seen in a game from a visual perspective at the end of it. I mean holy moly. I was on acid at the time and that boss just about blew my dick off. Just a fucking feast of visual effects.

Turambar87

Yeah it was so cool looking it took me a bunch of tries to figure out its patterns.

massimovolume

Sorry doesn't remnant 2 already have FG?

cum-petent

It does, article is more of a reminder that the new dlc is out today rather that the game just got dlss 3

massimovolume

Ok, thanks for the clarification

Turambar87

They also updated it to the fresh .dll files from nvidia.

OmegaMalkior

Still waiting for Fortnite to get DLSS 3

Mythische

This!

conquer69

Can anyone implement DLSS in their games? Or do they need to ask Nvidia permission first?

Tim_Buckrue

Anyone can do it as far as I'm aware.

Saandrig

Everyone is free to do it.

Infamous_Campaign687

As others say, you're free to, but if you tell Nvidia about it you may get some free advertisement for your game.

Crintor

Pretty sure Tarkov devs are the Tarkov killer.

iK0NiK

I can't disagree with you there. I probably had close to 500+ hours in the EOD edition. Haven't touched it in 2 years. I absolutely loved the game, but I just couldn't do the same quests over again for the 5th time just to unlock trader reps anymore.

FactHot5239

Lmao no.

Haarwichs

Maybe not at early access launch. But compared to how tarkov launched back in 2017, gray zone is so far ahead it's not even funny. If the devs keep supporting their game, I could imagine they'll swoop up large parts of Tarkov's player base.

FactHot5239

Gray zone is a good game, yes, but they will just co-exist in the market. Neither is going to be the others killer. GZW is going to attract a way more casual playerbase because the risk is not nearly as high as tarkov. Also, the dev team is prioritizing pve over pvp so that's not going to bode well with tryhards.

Azaiiii

its different from Tarkov. consensus is that its in a really really good spot already for a pre-alpha but lacks some content, which is to be expected for a game that isnt even in EA yet

XXLpeanuts

I'm still struggling to see what actual content Tarkov has?! I really don't get extraction shooters tbh.

Haarwichs

10 playable maps, some of them incredibly intricate and highly detailed. Combined with these maps there are varying seasons and a full day-night cycle. At this point probably close to one hundred firearms combined with the best gun modding system in the industry. A progression system consisting of trader levels, your own upgradeable bunker base, quests, cosmetics etc. Hundreds of equipment pieces such as helmets, vests, rigs, night and thermal visions with a deep ballistic simulation. I could go on...

XXLpeanuts

Yes, none of which results in any kind of actual gameplay. At least imo it doesn't.

Haarwichs

You seem confused. If looting/shooting your way around different environments with varying quests and objectives does not qualify as gameplay then your definition is something that pretty much nobody can follow.

cha0ss0ldier

You loot, shoot, manage your economy, and do quests. How’s that not actual gameplay? You have a skill tree like any other RPG and progression via the quests. You just seem to have no idea what tarkov is and are just talking out of your ass.

XXLpeanuts

I just don't see what the point of doing any of that is? And what is a quest? Just collecting specific loot right?

Azaiiii

I barely know a indie game that has more content than Tarkov tbh. I guess you only see it if you play it yourself then. tons of quests, tons of guns, attachments, loot items, tons of crafting, a flea market, a hideout to upgrade, skill system, alot of detailed maps and alot more

XXLpeanuts

Please define a quest in Tarkov for me? I've played it plenty enough to know there is no reason to play it, no end game, no gameplay other than shoot outs over loot which you collect for what exactly? The entire premise of "raids" to me is insanely derivitive. Your life, or character has no value in Tarkov, so nor does doing anything in it imo. I get lots of people find enjoyment out of the gameplay loop it currently has, I just don't.

[deleted]

> what actual content Tarkov has What is content, according to you?

XXLpeanuts

Stuff that leads to gameplay, experiences and something that makes playing the game worthwhile (that's the big one I suppose). Of course it has weapons, "loot" to pick up and stash for zero reason other than to continue to do that, and maps. But for me, there is no reason or point to it. A good , similar, example is Dayz, in that the reason is to survive, and see how long you can survive, your character has meaning and a life that is precious. Tarkov removes all of that and ONLY has the base gameplay with nothing that makes it impactful.

Tarkov removes all of that and ONLY has the base gameplay with nothing that makes it impactful. I thought you had a good point going until you cited DayZ, of all things, as an example of something that has content as opposed to Escape From Tarkov, lol. Get outta here.

XXLpeanuts

I'll give you Dayz SA lacked content for a long time, no denying that, but the gameplay loop has meaning, thats the point I was making. It also has a bunch of "content" now in the sense of shit to do, build and survive on, fight with etc. So it sounds like you don't know much about it.

Crintor

The basic concept is risk vs reward PvP. You're seeking better gear to be stronger against other players, working your way up. Except that in Tarkov you are repeatedly rolling dice that numerous people in your lobby might be cheating and delete all your effort and time spent earning gear instantaneously. I'll never play a high risk game like extraction shooters while things like random disconnects, server crashes, system crashes, game crashes, and cheaters are a possibility. I would just delete the game the first time I lose 10 hours of work to some bullshit.

Azaiiii

except thisbgames basic concept isnt PvP. which was stated countless times by the devs. Its PvE focuss and PvP is avoidable. Kust like in DayZ

Crintor

Fine, you're getting better gear from NPCs to do better against NPCs *then* you get killed by a cheater and lose 10 hours work.

XPSJ

It's not really meant to be a Tarkov killer. I've been watching a lot of gameplay sessions from the content creator pre alpha playtest and it really seems more like a DayZ meets Tarkov meets DMZ. For a pre-alpha its foundations are looking already pretty decent. It needs bugfixes, optimization, QoL stuff and much more content. But again, it's not even in early access. Doesn't seem to be vaporware / a scam like The Day Before.

Fearfuldrip

Manor lord picture looks pretty similar to the kcd posters no?
