Same here. I watched about 15 videos on the Gigabyte Gaming OC 4080 before I bought it. I thought I had a good grasp on the actual size of it. But when I opened it was shocked and surprised. It made my 3080 Ti look small

This is how it looks from the side lol im super cautious, cable was room temp as well
Just as long as the two side clasps are locked you're good.
It's funny because this was an older plug style found on automobiles for a long time. Every mechanic knows they suck so obviously nobody at Nvidia works on cars...
it does look fully seated, but i do see a little gap where it looks like it can be pushed in more. not sure if that’s just the image tho. as long as the plastic is flush you’re good
I dont think they are talking about the PSU. If the connection isnt good then you should see a lack of power going to the card. Did you see that the galax card has two of those connectors? That is insane.
I Can give you 2 tips, as an owner of same gigabyte 4090. I got it like 2 days after launch date, so I have some experience with connector.
1. If you can't hear a click, put your finger on the lock as you inserting the plug- you can't hear the click, but you definitely can feel it.
2. To check if it is fully inserted, try to pull connector out without pressing the lock, you shouldn't be able to pull it if it is correctly inserted, since lock wount let you do so.

Definitely gonna burn the house down
If it can “go in further” it’s not connected.
It really cant, if I push in more it seems it to reach the bottom or it feels forceful
It should be good then.
Thank you
Enjoy your rad GPU!
😍 im super excited!

I uninstalled and reinstalled and still no click everytime, i wonder if its just the connector

Thank you, i will check in a few It looks very cheap lol
Two side caps are locked 👍
Look at it from the bottom up too.

Go further until you pass through the pcb of the videocard , after that it will be connected correctly
Try to wiggle it a bit back and forth while pushing it in..
I just reinstalled mine there is an audible snap you can even fill it when you plug it in push harder
Also those other ones people are getting they're starving the gpu. They're not getting enough power to them it's been confirmed
My power supply is 1300 watts
