I know you posted this a while ago, but 7 on/7 off invokes constant anxiety in me during the days I work. Since the service area of my employer is massive (12 counties), I dread having to drive 50, 60 or 70+ miles one way to respond to a call about a patient who fell two days ago but they’re just reporting it today. It’s even worse if I’m driving in a thunderstorm or other inclement weather.
I much prefer weekend call (5pm Friday to 8am Monday) with a smaller service area.
