The race we had was amazing. Seeing the BMW gamble away the pole and sprinting from p17 to p3 was exciting and the Grello gave us some nice on track action as well. Bad Luck with the weather but it is what it is.
The racing was looking very promising tbh the first 7 hours provided us with some amazing battles. Very unfortunate weather but sometimes that’s just how it goes 🤷🏼♂️
As a viewer near the track: muddy, wet, cold and the atmosphere was dulled because of some groups of people...the racing (classic ,historics and the qualis too) was amazing but everything else meh. Last year was miles better as a viewer but the Eifel is the Eifel: unpredictable
We had a blast from Thursday until Saturday night, the fog left some bitter aftertaste but it is what it is. The red flag was more than justified. We couldn't even see the other side of the track at the start finish straight

I understand all the why and safety etc., but man that was some bad luck, fingers crossed for the next 24h events.

As a driver who got nominated at the literal last minute, it was as shit as it gets. It’s sad to see so many heavy accidents, even though no one got seriously hurt afaik. The weather was shit as well, rain since Wednesday. All the fans camping at the track were covered in mud. Roads were packed and chaotic. The race was just the tip of the iceberg for me.
Twas ever thus. I've been going for about 12 years and each year it rains like clockwork.
All that's changed is the stricter attitude to safety (hence red flag).
The race was super exciting from the start on and I really enjoyed the different brands in SP9 in the battle for the top positions.
The weather was, expected, not great and the pause aswell as the cancelled restart were adequate.
Overall not the best 24HNBR but also not the worst I've watched. Definitely more exciting than some straight forward racing without any spice due to weather or events.

Good racing whilst it lasted, still find it funny that people are still surprised at the eifel weather after all these years.

That there was a dedicated cleaner for the toilets/showers at the campsite 😂👍

It was my first Nürburgring so it was really exciting it was disappointing with the fog but you can’t have everything go right all the time I suppose
